2026 haven't had this Tuscon a year and the engine went on it. It should be covered by the warranty. Now Melissa is telling me and rod is not covered because of an oil change. I showed proof of an oil change in January but you will no accept it stating you need the very first oil change. Not sure about the logic in that being the reason to deny my warranty and leaving me with a 6000 dollar bill. Very frustrating and unprofessional. The dealership should stand by their product. What impressed me about this place was how they answered my questions but did not put a lot of pressure on me to buy anything. I made clear that I was at the start of my decision about whether to buy a new car and the sales person Josh clearly respected what I said. He did not pressure me nor did he ignore me. I also met the manager and was concerned initially when asked to meet him because I thought the manager was going to put the high-pressure tactic on me. But that did not happen and he only thanked me for being there and asked about my experience. Due to factors not related to the dealership at all I am not sure when I will be ready to buy a new car. Cochran made the arrangements for my 2nd key, which I was finally able to get last week.

They had my car for over 3 mths for an insurance claim to paint it, replace the rear wiper, & take care of recalls. Then, we decided to pay for the seat to be fixed. Cochran called to say it was ready & we finally picked it up. They NEVER DID FINISH THE WORK FOR THE INSURANCE CLAIM & THE SEAT STILL DOESN'T WORK! We went to look for a new SUV at #1 Cochran in Monroeville. When we walked into the showroom, it initially took them a while to see if we needed any help, even though the room was not busy and coworkers were standing around talking to each other. When someone finally asked us if we needed help, she was very kind, so I will more that. She put us in contact with one of their sales women. We talked to her about what kind of vehicle and price range we were looking at. She was not very helpful and did not offer different ideas or solutions to help us get a SUV in our price range (ie, didn't offer different trim packages, mention the idea of certified pre-owned, etc). We just felt like she was not invested in helping us. We ultimately left empty handed after test driving a vehicle that we weren't even interested in. On the way home, I was just browsing their site online and found that there were some SUVS in the make we wanted that were within our price range, but just a different color than the one we originally showed the sales woman. I just feel like she could have easily mentioned something like that to help us, but she did not. This was my second negative experience at Cochran. I don't think I will return when looking for a new car. read more

My beloved Civic of 12 years broke down and I had to consider another car. I dreaded the new car buying process and dealing with salesmen but my experience with this dealership turned out to be quite painless! I'm comparing this experience to the blah one I had at Valley Honda and they fell short on every aspect. Even if I liked the Insight better (which I didn't), I think I would've still avoided dealing with them. I worked with Ryan and he was great--not pushy, friendly, helpful and earnest. I was deciding between 2 hybrid vehicles (Hyundai Ioniq v. Honda Insight). I did quite a lot of research myself before going to either dealership. It only took one test drive of each vehicle before I decided within the week. I was given a great discount and am really quite happy with my new hybrid! I went to get my oil changed on Friday. Granted, construction is being done outsid, but the facility is filthy. The tile floor was dirty, the chairs were filthy and the rug was torn. It used to be a pleasure to go for service under the previous owners. It was always clean and they also cleaned your vehicle. The customer service is non existent. I'm disabled and had to traipse back out to the parking lot to drive my own car in. Then I had to look for it when I left. I used this dealership for years even with my Honda. The technicians changed my air conditioning controls and lowered my seat in addition to pushing it all the way back. I bought my car here but don't intend to spend anymore money there. So far so good. I've been following the Ioniq 6 for quite a while, waiting for availability. I wanted an SE Long Range. Two weeks ago I found some dealers advertising cars from their incoming allotments, most regional units are SEL or Limited, and/or with 20" wheels. I needed a range vehicle so I didn't want things that degraded range. Most sent to the NE are AWD not RWD, but with weather that probably makes sense and is worth the 45 mile hit. So I only found two SEs within 250 miles, and started down the process with a unit in another state. This Sunday night I happened across 3x Ioniq 6's listed at this dealer -- which had not previously been in any search results, from Edmunds or Google or Autotrader. In retrospect I suspect that some dealers list cars when they get their allotment lists, but that perhaps this dealer only when they arrive. I was surprised to find a 24-hour chat on their web site. The listing *looked* like an SE with 18" but wasn't clear about the trim. The chat person couldn't tell but set me up to talk to someone in the morning. The sales office nominally opens at 9am, a few minutes before I got a text message from Don. He verified the trim and that the car was on the lot. Since this unit was a more-preferred color and was 220 miles *closer*, we dropped everything and headed over. We were greeted upon entry and Don met with us almost immediately. Car salespeople have a certain reputation, which is to some degree justified, but at no time did I have any sense that Don was pressuring or trying to BS us. He got my reference to Fargo (TrueCoat). We arrived with financing approved from our credit union, the dealer's finance people were a bit aggressive trying to line us up with something through them. To my surprise they did find financing with a different credit union at a lower enough rate. We did all the things and were able to drive the car home without having to return or wait. The experience with Don was refreshing, and unlike a certain Nissan dealer, he wasn't a sexist throwback. We told him of that experience and he was visibly aghast. The dealer in another state had been a difference experience. They were not prompt or complete communicators, they TrueCoated me with an overly marked-up "protection package" that they refused to take off the quote (*), and charged other pure-profit fees. All told we drove home our car for ~$4000 LESS than the other dealer was charging. The finance guy pushed the usual extended warranties, TrueCoat, etc. That is part of the car-buying dynamic anywhere. * That out-of-state dealer claimed that was the only way they could make a profit. This of course was not true for well-publicized reasons. They were soaking me, pure and simple. read more

I only purchased this Tucson one week ago Today. First We negotiated a deal by phone and internet. I was firm that I wanted GAP insurance included with the payment. I had a better deal at another dealer and told them the other dealer. They told me that they would beat the other dealers deal . I again said I wanted Gap in lincluded. They said yes and I drove down the Cochran's. when the paperwork came they didn't beat the other dealers price because Gap wasn't included. I believe it was intentional to get me into the dealer ship. Don't ask why I agreed to buy from them. 2 days ago to checked my oil level and it was down almost 1 quart. I guess checking the fluids is not part of the dealer prep! I called and left 6 messages today asking what oil I should add. I guess that's not important either because I never got a response. When I got my car inspected in May, I left the Hyundai lot and noticed that my check engine light was on. Concerned, I called the service line and told them what was going on. I was told that some must have not turned it off after emissions or something and since it's not flashing, it's safe to drive. Then I was told I had to come back to get it fixed, but it had to be a weekday before 4pm. Since I work in Robinson, I was told I couldn't have a courtesy vehicle and therefore I needed to take time away from work to be back and fix their mistake. Well I finally found time to come in yesterday when I took a half day off of work. I called and was scheduled at 1pm. I waiting in the lobby and didn't hear anything about my car until 2:45pm. The service rep called me only to show me they took out all of my air filters and tried to sell me on an oil change. I informed him I had somewhere to be at 4:30pm and it would take me 40+ minutes to get there, so I didn't really have the time. He told me he wasn't aware I was in a rush. I replied that I wasn't in a rush until it took 2.5 hours to inform me about a light they left on. He then started saying that their schedule was booked today and I was "fit in" to their schedule, leaving me feel like an inconvenience. I then said if he can complete the filter and oil change within 30 minutes, I could do it. If not, I had to leave. He then said it would take 30 minutes anyway to put the filters back in, so I might as well get the oil change. At this point I relented because arguing with him wasn't getting my car out any faster. I normally enjoy my time with Cochran, but this past experience leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I won't be going to this Cochran dealership anymore. I'd rather go to South Hills than deal with this gentleman at Monroeville. read more

one of the worst repair experiences i've ever had, if not the worst. came in to get some recalls fixed for free, and it turned into a $700, 4 week process. after 4 hours on my first visit, they told me they needed to order a part and it would be a week. i didn't hear back for 2 weeks, and they finally brought me in to install it at 3 weeks. just to have me sit for an hour and tell me they have to do it another day because they messed their schedule up. came back a week later and sat for another 3 hours for them to install 1 part. would not recommend this dealership for anything. EDIT: I had to schedule another appointment because after driving for 3 days, the Check Engine Light came on again. I brought it in and told them, and they said that what they did the first time wasn't correct, that they need to replace something else to fix it, and it's gonna be $2700. when i told them i would like reimbursed for the unnecessary work done, they said they would have their Service Manager, Ed call me to figure out a solution. no call for 2 days, so I called. Ed proceeded to tell me that he could reimburse me $41, and that it's not his problem. He then told me that he has a real problem with me for "hiding behind a screen" and leaving a bad review. He ended the call by saying he's not doing anything for me, and i will certainly never be returning here. read more

I purchased my last car at Cochran Hyundai back in 2014 and had a good experience, so when my car needed a ton of repairs to pass inspection (I bought it used), I had to decide whether to invest a large amount to repair the car or just trade it in. I admit that the circumstances were stressful because my car wouldn't pass inspection, and I needed to make a decision. I worked with a salesman named Victor, who was very personable and chatty, but I made it clear to him that I felt stressed about the situation and was under financial restrictions on what I could spend on a new (used) car. I won't go into detail, but I was so turned off by my experience that I needed to write a review, which is something I rarely take the time to do. I felt strongly that there was disregard for anything but making a sale. I felt pressured to make a purchase that was beyond my budget, and when I returned within the 30 day grace period to talk about the purchase I was told that nothing could be renegotiated. My decision is on me, I know, but what I do mind is the pressure I felt by the salesman and the financial consultant, being reminded several times that the car I had in mind wouldn't last. No problem. But save the friendly chatter and the philosophies on life, when all that really mattered was being an intended sale that was decided on your way to work. Even the suggestion to take a few minutes to think about it would have been helpful, instead of another reminder that the car I was considering wouldn't last long on the lot. My last complaint is that I received SIX or more calls from Victor, before and after the sale, at all hours, letting me know that if I had any questions at all I could call anytime. FOUR return calls later I had to personally stop in to see Victor to ask the questions he repeatedly invited me to ask on his many voicemails, only to hear that nothing could be changed and that he tried to call me back several times, which was simply not true. There was no return call at all in the days that I had been calling him. I also called the financial salesman, Taylor, who also didn't return my calls. Maybe Cochran tells them not to call back if someone actually DOES have a question. I will never return there for another car. And if you have Victor as a salesman, tell him to keep the friendly chatter to himself. He shared way too much personal information with me, even though he could see that I was quietly focusing on my options, and in the end, it was only the sale that mattered. read more

I have been trying to resolve an issue for over two weeks. I bought a new Hyundai Tucson and paid for carpeted mats. I got mats in the front but they put a rug in the back. My salesman told me he would resolve this but I am still waiting to hear from him. Also, I contacted the finance department and asked them for a copy of the extra packages I bough and never heard back from him. It has been over two weeks. Cochran is great when they are trying to sell you a vehicle but dealing with them after purchasing the vehicle is a nightmare. I test drove a Hyundai Elantra 5 days before I planned to purchase it. I got a copy of the credit application and got insurance for the car before returning to purchase, expecting the turn around time to be quick. Unfortunately, the store manager and the finance team got greedy and tried to manipulate me into financing the car in my name alone (without a co-signer) so they could use a higher interest rate. I had to get on the phone with the South Hills Hyundai dealer (since Monroevile Cochran wanted to play games) before the manager even showed his face. The manager's first sentence was "why aren't you satisfied?" I wasn't prepared to waste 5 hours of my Saturday simultaneously fighting the greed of a smug, insincere manager and feeling pity for my salesman Ron W. who did his best to strike a deal with me. So myself, wife and daughter pull up to this dealership in her Hyundai Sonata which she LOVES and was also her first Hyundai to check out and test drive the new Hyundai Genesis when it first came out. Not only did no one came out to greet us while we walked around and looked at the Genesis's parked outside. But once we went inside grabbed a brochure, looked around the inside and sat in the car (which is very very nice by the way!) still no one asked to help us and we were completely ignored! You sell Hyundai's not Bentley's! Mind you there were two other customers in the whole dealership and six salesman. Four of which were just sitting around! We left without any service at all. Total joke. Don't let them get your email address on their mailing lists, because they will continuously spam you and try to sell you a car you were never interested in at the first place (claiming "updated pricing" and the like). I tried to trade in a car here with autotrader, and they sent me emails (and phone calls) from a customer service specialist saying that they have an excellent trade in program that will do an inspection with you on site detailing exactly why your quote is the way it is, with comparison to blue book estimates. It sounded great, but this place is all talk. What I got instead when I showed up were grumpy people who had no idea my appointment existed, who gave me a ridiculously lowball offer (seriously, I could've crashed that car into a concrete barrier, called somebody, and gotten them to tow it away for scrap for more money than they offered), and offered absolutely no justification for why there were deductions taken off the estimate (in fact, the emails from them indicated that they were willing to buy for higher than the estimate). My experience with their trade-in wing is definitely indicative of their other services, because seriously?? They hire "customer service specialists" to lie about what their processes are so they can get your foot into the dealership? I certainly would not buy a car here. read more

Over the past 10 years I have purchased two Hyundai's from Cochran Hyundai in Monroeville and I have had all service and repairs done in their service center. I have been completely satisfied with the services performed and especially with the communication that happens through the Service Advisor. When I have questions that require further explanation, my questions are always answered thoroughly and respectfully. I have worked with each of the Service Advisors but most frequently with Dale S. Without exception, Dale always goes above and beyond. He sincerely works to make certain that every visit is deserving of a 5-Star rating. With that said, life is not perfect. I recently had a (very) minor problem due to an oversight. I returned and spoke with Dale and he set to work to make it right. Again, he went above and beyond, not only rectify the problem right then and there, but to also make amends for the very minor oversight. For this, I wish that I could give a 10-Star rating, not only to Dale, but to the mechanic who also went above and beyond to make sure that I would leave their facility completely satisfied, which I did. As I said, I have received excellent service for 10 years and I am thankful that I am able to drive away each time with peace of mind. Thank you. read more

My name is J'von and I was a nervous wreck when I came to #1 Cochran. I had dealt with Warren previously but never purchased. I did some research and found the only car I could think about was a newer model Hyundai Sonata. Because of my "very less than perfect" credit, I knew financing was a gamble. Through the whole process, Warren never made me feel like I should suffer consequences for making mistakes in the past reflected on my credit score today. I shopped at other places and some treated me like I was supposed to feel privileged to be considered, that's when I knew #1 Cochran was the only place for me. Jim Powers was honest, straightforward and understanding. I appreciated that more than he'll ever know. He didn't try to "sell" me on something, he let me find it. He was patient with me, for this was my first financed vehicle purchase, and he was flexible. The first time around they didn't have any cars that spoke to me, plus it was a Saturday, which was hectic, and I left feeling overwhelmed. He told me that if I saw the car I wanted at any #1 Cochran location he'd pick it up for me. I did more research and came back on Monday. Monday was perfect. Jim an Warren were both in. I told him I saw a Sonata at another location but as we searched we found one at the Monroeville Hyundai location. Jim went and found it for me, Warren got me financed (after much nail biting and praying on my end), and they both personally congratulated me. I drove away in a loaded 2011 Hyundai Sonata with perfect payments. I could not have asked for a better sales team than these two. I will always recommend them to anyone thinking of buying/ financing a car. So thank you guys , keep up the good work, and I hope many others walk away feeling the same way I did about you two.
