Wonderful parish near Disney parks. I love attending mass here on Sundays on the weekends I'm in…read moreDisney. People are friendly and respectful. I have not had any negative interactions with anyone here and even if I did I would take it as an opportunity to act in love as Christ would. We go to church to serve not to be served. I have to add that the community is very supportive of their community and always has different events and opportunities for the parishioners to give back and help the ministries here.

No mater how far I moved, somehow I always ended up going back to G-Town - and get connected with…read more St. Columban - a Catholic Church in Garden Grove that has been around probably for more than 2 decades. It is a big church both physical size and members. The Vietnamese Community is strong here. On Sunday - some older Vietnemase parishioners sell Vietnamse food/veggies to raise money for the church. It also serves as a Catholic School up to 8th grade. They also offer classes for First Communition, Confirmation, Wedding, Funerals etc. This is a personal religious space for some people and a santuary for others. It is very nice to see that people are still practicing their faith and volunteer to help others who fall on hard time - spritiually, financially, economically. Their website has all the hours of operation and activities. Parking - Free both street and parking on church property.

Through my time as a volunteer at Blessed Sacrament, St. Polycarp, but primarily St. Barbara, I've…read morebeen able to see a lot of brokenness, not only in the communities I serve but also in the people who I serve alongside. What has been a constant reminder for myself is the old church saying: "The Church isn't a museum for saints but a hospital for sinners." In a strange way, our imperfections are a clear indication that God is leading and not us. "I have come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance." (Luke 5:32) With St. Barbara, being my main parish, I definitely resonate with some details shared with a particular review here. I understand, have seen, and even dealt with some difficulties myself. With that I'll say that I am happy that the parishioner has been able to find a "landing spot" at Blessed Sacrament and would like to reassure them (and anyone reading) that we have a younger generation of leaders coming up who are currently sincerely (and imperfectly) fighting the good fight and pursuing holiness at St. Barbara. Until then, I'll also second what that reviewer had to say about Blessed Sacrament. It is led by a great pastor and a strong Youth Ministry team. Any leader who comes from their Anchored Youth Ministry is solid in faith and compassionate by default. I find myself coming here to be a participant to get my own nourishment and would highly recommend everyone else to as well. As for the Mass. Highly recommend. 10/10 would do it again (every week of course)... at any parish in our One, Holy, and Apostolic Catholic Church (all Masses are the same after all).

I have been at this Blessed Sacrament church for several different reasons, whether attending mass,…read moreparticipating in events with the choirs, or doing random things. Interestingly enough, I have not had even one annoying incident from the churchgoers here despite the parking situation being pretty crowded whenever I was here. My recent experience with the several choir leaders here have been pretty positive. They were direct, frank, and purposeful...The parking is small, the church is also small, but adequate and straightforward. No issue at all with the priests, choir leaders, churchgoers, whatsoever. Unlike the worst one is St. Barbara church, wow that church attracts the nastiest , craziest, unholiest, most sinful, disgusting nutcases that go there. The people that go to St. Barbara church are practically walking demons who are totally self-absorbed and full of bitchiness and sheesh. Similarly, at St. Columban church, people there are full of themselves, prideful, egotistical, boastful, envious, obnoxious, inconsiderate, rude and always fighting to be the center of attention and glory-seeking. I recommend to go to this Blessed Sacrament church if you are a serious, genuinely religious person who wants a less dramatic church experience, less situations having to deal with rude/obnoxious churchgoers as compared to St. Barbara or St. Columban. Those demon-possessed nutcases from St. Barbara and St. Columban you better stay where you're at and DO NOT come here.
