I have not experienced the indoor or outdoor pool areas, but they appear awesome. I strongly recommend this YMCA to and for everyone. My favorites are cycling, step and core workouts.

My friend group with little ones brought our little families together and rented an airbnb for the holiday week which came with full access to the community amenities including this club. It was the Friday of July 4th weekend when we decided to head to the very crowded pool on a very hot day. We fortunately were able to get in although it was previously at capacity a few minutes prior but our little swimmers had a ball and so did we. They also had a kids splash pad on the other end of the pool in which we spent 3 hours after an hour in the pool and our little ones and ourselves had no idea time flew so quickly. So I guess the saying on time flying when you're having fun is accurate. The only drawback for the adults was the limited food options at the food stand. We found food but the options were very limited and we didn't have a quick option to anything else for lunch time. All in all a great vacay with our group of littles!

The entire deck area was rehabbed and replaced in 2010, so the whole place is looking fresher. Bathrooms and locker rooms are pretty much the same they have been for ~20 years. Dawn, the owner of OC SUP & Fitness, got me into SUP a little over a year ago when I took a "flowga" class with her (yes, that would be yoga on a paddleboard in the middle of the bay) and I was instantly hooked. I spend most of my weekends in OC, and I still take her fitness classes whenever I can. Aside from the flowga classes, OC SUP & Fitness offers a variety of other fitness classes utilizing paddleboards, including core strengthening and bootcamp classes. The paddleboard bootcamp classes are my personal favorite. I thought I was in pretty good shape until I took one of these classes... I definitely have my ass handed to me each time I take this class. You will do plyometrics exercises and suicide drills on the beachy areas near Fager's in addition to exercises and sprints on the paddleboards. The class may seem a little intimidating but anyone can do it, regardless of fitness level, as long as you're willing to push yourself. I've seen people of all ages and fitness capabilities in these classes, and Dawn puts extra effort into making sure everyone feels welcome and challenged. Most of all she makes sure everyone has FUN! If you're interested in something a little more laid back, you can take private paddleboard lessons or simply rent a board and explore the bay at your own pace. This is a sport that is great for kids, so make sure to bring the entire family! SUP provides a great physical workout, but it is also very relaxing as the feeling of floating and "walking on water" is unbelievably soothing. All of OC SUP & Fitness' classes and board rentals are done out of Fager's Island. The location is perfect, since you can obviously drop into the bar after a nice paddle and grab an orange crush or two afterward! If you become hooked on the sport, like I did, and buy a board you will get a reduced "BYOB" rate for the group fitness classes. There are so many places in OC where you can learn to SUP, but OC SUP & Fitness is always my first recommendation for people who want to learn. See ya in class!

There was a small group of women in the class for this Sunday night candlelight hot yoga session. The instructor spoke with us very calmly and encouraged everyone in their practice. Coming here to this studio was a wonderful choice for getting back into yoga because they are so friendly and helpful. The session was calming, and an amazing way to begin your work week. Something positive and relaxing on a Sunday night. Super excited to have found this studio, and can't wait to visit more frequently.
