She was totally organized about planning everything in advance and was creative about helping plan a class that worked for our diverse group (non yogis, yogis, and two pregnant mommas). Kim is the coolest, was on time, and everyone in our group LOVED and RAVED about how much we loved it for the remainder of the weekend. Can't recommend enough- loved every bit of working with Kim and Ocean Vayu Yoga!

She started off the summer refusing to put her head under water, and ended the summer not only putting her head under, but swimming in the deep end without floaties on. Lori made my daughter feel comfortable while also being firm in what she needed to do. I could tell right off the bat that she clearly has a ton of experience working with children. Lori also always arrived to the pool early which I greatly appreciated, and communicated scheduling over text which made things super easy. 5 stars!! We'll be using her again next summer!! After only one lesson, my oldest and I were already swimming across the pool (albeit clumsily, but I was amazed!) and all of us had learned to back float for safety. Subsequent lessons have given us more confidence and skills to build on these basics. Coach Lori is an excellent teacher who has the ability to be instructive, give actionable feedback and build confidence. Moreover, she travels to us, which makes the whole experience incredibly convenient. Her prices are also very reasonable for private lessons--they cost as much as group lessons in NYC where we are from--with far better results in a much quicker time! We couldn't recommend her more.

When I asked if I would get a refund for the recital outfit I was told no they would just credit my account. The offer to contact the company and try to get my daughters size was never provided nor another solution. The whole interaction was shrugged off like it wasn't important but when telling a 4 year old they will no longer be in the recital they have practiced months for it is. Will not return and agree with others. The accounting system is outdated and the owner/operator seems to only want the money but does not care about the quality of the program. During class there are no corrections of footwork or the craft of dance.

The conditions were pretty rough, so I ended up as an extra swimmer to help the kids paddle out. But it was all good - Dan was very patient with the kids, and focused on safety and fun. Finally, have to mention that I was very impressed with Dan's communication. I texted him out of nowhere the day before, and he responded almost immediately with detailed and specific info about the lessons, location, etc. I really appreciate that level of service.

There are dance classes that are just about little girls getting to dress up, or learn a quick…read moreroutine 2 weeks before a recital, and then there are dance classes where children are going to learn and grow confidence and keep what they are being taught for the rest of their lives, and STILL get the experience of dressing up and feeling lovely on stage. JMDS is the latter. I have two daughters who simply adore Ms Jean and their dance classes with her. And I'm an involved parent which means I simply adore the big window which allows me to watch everything they're learning in dance class. As a former elementary teacher myself, I can tell you, Ms Jean has what we teachers call "an innate ability to handle classroom management". This is not a class for kids to mess around in. However, each child gets a big welcome and knows Ms. Jean loves them each time they enter and leave their class. If you're looking for a teacher who knows how to manage children, has an innate teaching ability and who creates complex intricate routines that young children are able to learn and do, JMDS is the place to head. We actually don't even live in Grasonville. We live near St Michaels and yet we are willing to travel north each week for our dance lessons. BEST experience in dance that we have had so far.
