Broken pipe and wall, ceiling, and floor repair work aside we were also without water while we needed to search for the source. It was an insanely busy weekend for plumbers or any kind of emergency repair work and there were many, many folks far worse off than us. We'd been ghosted by a plumber and put on a list several days out for an appointment with another. Just as we were staring down 48 more hours without water David responded to my message, said he was on his way, and was in and out in less than 30 minutes with the pipe fixed and water restored. Very nice guy, fair price, and he even fixed a minor issue with our kitchen sink while he was here. We're very happy customers and look forward to working with him again on some general non-emergency updates!

David and his assistant (can't remember his name) arrived on time and immediately got to work on my…read morechimney. They discovered that my woodstove inserted into the fireplace had a back plate attachment that made it impossible to get to the stovepipe connection going up the chimney. They pulled out the woodstove, removed the back plate and performed a thorough cleaning. David said that the back plate was not needed, given the way the woodstove was installed, and so we left it off to simplify future cleanings. David and his assistant were extremely professional and efficient. Not a speck of ash was left behind. I highly recommend Baker Chimney!

This is an update to my recent review. Besides all the things wrong that I mentioned in my original…read morereview, it turns out that Kevin put on the wrong nozzle, despite the tag on the front of the burner saying which nozzle to use. This explains why it was running so inefficiently after he was done with the "cleaning". Also, when he closed up the front of the furnace, he allowed insulation to get caught up on the threads of one of the closing bolts which means that the nut will have to be cut off and replaced. To force it would break the bolt holding the door closed. Besides the $185 he charged for the cleaning (he was quick to cash the check), it will cost me over $400. to have my furnace repaired to the condition it should be in. He also told me that he would check out the price of a new combustion chamber and get right back to me. He never did. This guys work was a disaster!
