I have been using Middletown Roofing for decades without complaint. They have done new roofs, replacement roofs and repairs for me on seal houses. All new roofs are warranted. Repairs are not because fixing one spot doesn't guarantee new leaks won't start elsewhere. Very few companies provide roof repairs at all these days. Middletown is the only company that has ever evaluated my roofs and said "No, you do not need a new roof at this time". I had a repair done today. I needed two shingles replaced that had come loose. Three other companies, who were trolling my neighborhood, told me I needed a 40,000+ roof replacement because of wind/hail damage. Middletown came, examined my roof and replaced the two shingles. Beware....... They do not take care of warranty on roofs done with the previous owner of the company I wanted 3 shingles put back on that had blown off during a wind storm I also inquired about having my chimney completely covered with a piece of copper sheeting and they came back with a price of $3,500.00 because they were going to have to replace the flashing around the chimney tuck point and then a new cap on top when I said I needed to wait on the chimney portion until I was able to save the money for it would he go ahead and reattach the 3 shingles for me for what ever he thought was a fair price and the guy said no I would have to do everything on the estimate I was shocked so I sent him on his way I decided I was going to do it so I climbed up the ladder and although scared sh??less I did it and earned $3,500.00 in about 15 minutes lol read more

We had gutters replaced and siding installed on the overhangs. No issue with the gutters but after just a few weeks a piece of the siding fell down. It took several calls to get someone to even respond, much less repair the siding. Once it was finally repaired it only lasted until the next storm. Trying to get someone to return my calls wasn't any better the second time around. Not sure if it's the fault of the answering service they seem to use during business hours or just a lack of caring since they had already been paid but it took more than a month to get it fixed the second time around. Middletown Roofing replaced the roof over our house and on our garage. We could not be more pleased with their quality of work and service. We extensively researched many roofing companies online, small and large, and received several quotes. Middletown Roofing offered extremely high-quality materials and work, but at a substantial a lower price. Online, we read many times what an honest person Roman and his crew are, and this was our experience 100%. Roman was extremely involved in all stages of the process and highly familiar with the details of the job. It took us ~2 months from the time we received the estimate until the time the work was done (due to gathering other quotes). When the crew arrived, even the tiniest details--which we had described to Chris when receiving a quote months earlier--were very carefully attended to, and Roman had full knowledge of them all. If ever there was a change or an update, Roman called to keep us updated and shared photos so we could understand what he was seeing. For example, we had some rotted decking etc. that required replacing, and Roman communicated very clearly about this in advance. (We expected this given that the house is 100 year old, and some of the boards forming the eaves overhang were visibly reduced to ~50-60% of their original width.) The extent of communication was just one example of Roman's thoroughness. Roman holds himself and his crew to the highest standards of work. Roman believes in using high quality materials that will last, and he offers these without markup or price increases. He prefers to use high quality materials because he believes in standing by the job he has done. As another example, his company was the only one to suggest additional precautionary measures (like adding extra ice and water shield in especially prone areas). The extra layer provides an important additional layer of protection in areas that had previously been the sources of leaks. Roman's team was extremely efficient, and when the job was done, the yard (and all areas around our house) were impeccably clean. Our neighbor told us that he continued to find roofing debris for 10 years after his roof was replaced. My wife and I scoured our yard, and found virtually no debris whatsoever. The replacement was covered by insurance, and less than 24 hours after the job was finished, our insurance company had a copy of the final invoice and supplements. The very next day, Roman spoke on the phone with our claims specialist to explain the nature of the supplements. Again, his quick turnaround, his extensive knowledge of the job, and his meticulous attention to detail shined through. Working with someone who is honest and who we could trust made all the difference in the world. It eased our anxieties associated with replacing the roof--which is one of the most important parts of any house. We are stunned by the quality of work and level of service we have received at a price that is substantially lower than comparable companies. We are absolutely thrilled with the work that Middletown Roofing has done, and we have already begun recommending them to our neighbors, family, and friends. Thought I was going to have to replace entire roof. They said no just repair at the leak site. They said roof should last a least 5 more years. Other roofers said I had to replace entire roof.I like honest hard working copies. Would recommend them for any roof issue. read more

I'm guessing they are a good company to work with for roofing. But stay far away if you want siding or gutters. 6 months, twice didn't order enough product (and shipping took 2-3 weeks), no supervision, no follow-through. No integrity. read more

Middletown roofing replaced my shingled roof a few weeks ago, From start to finish, they were professional, honest, and did the work on the exact day they said they would. The cost was in line with other estimates I received. They looked at my gutters and suggested we keep the ones we have, for me that shows integrity. The company was very helpful in selecting the best shingle for our home. The roof looks amazing. They removed old vents, replaced the majority of them with a different type of vents which really helps with airflow and beauty. I trust the shingle will last a long time, but I hope too they will stand behind their work. I have no reason to believe they would not. Beware of Middletown Roofing! Unprofessional management, poor workmanship, and NO WARRANTY. We had them out to repair some flashing and caulk a window and the workmanship was very sloppy. They used much larger pieces than we had elsewhere because he was just covering up the old work. When I questioned it, the only response I received was "is more better". 6 months later it started leaking, damaging our newly repaired ceiling. I called them back and they found that the caulking had failed at the top of the flashing leaving a gap. When quoting the job they stated they would grind out the mortar of the brick joints and tuck the flashing in, apparently that had not happened. I asked that they redo the job and they said the receipt I signed stated NO WARRANTY. I pushed the issue and they then stated they couldn't redo it because they no longer work with the person who did the install. What? Are they just sub-contracting out the work and keeping the profit? I pushed some more and they must have found their man because he was back out to try again, more sloppy work, nails left behind for my kids to find, and 3 months later leaking again! This time they said it may be the window above with no caulking. You mean the one that we paid to have caulked on the original work order? Apparently it never happened! I was fed up and asked for a refund, they again said I signed a contract that said NO WARRANTY. I pushed some more and they finally offered to refund the cost of the caulking that never got put on, ten whole bucks. Thanks but no thanks. read more

Middletown Roofing replaced the entire roof with a better roof on our house. Did a good job. Worked with our insurance company to get the best deal for us and went over everything before the start of the job. Did everything they said they would do and left the place clean. The owner even came back to fix an additional item without charge. The new roof looks great and we have never had any problem since the replacement. I had Middletown Roofing replace my roof in 2009. In December of 2014 the roof started leaking in multiple places. I called Middletown Roofing and they said it was probably a defective shingle and it was strictly between me and the shingle manufacturer. Rather than removing shingles form my own roof and mailing them into the lab for testing, I sought out guidance from other area roofers. I had three roofing contractors and a mechanical engineer inspect the leaks. Each one told me my shingles were not defective. It was a workmanship issue that took this many years to present itself and that Midddletown Roofing should correct the problem. A rep from Middletown inspected the roof and "didn't know why the roof was leaking," but left me with an estimate for repairs. I appealed to the president of the company. After inspection of my roof he said there was one decking nail pop causing the leaking over the entire expanse of the master bedroom. According to the president of Middletown Roofing the milky discoloration in the area (that I can also see leaking into the attic) above the master was from painters spilling paint on top of the roof (they used scaffolding and were never on top of my roof). The other roofers said it was physically impossible for water to spread over such a large area over one deck pop because of the rafter bays in the roof. Water could not jump in the attic from one bay to another. Middletown Roofing refused to make any repairs and said he was not liable for the poor workmanship because he purchased Middletown Roofing after my roof was installed. I am stuck with a five-year-old $7,000 roofing job that is leaking like a sieve. read more
