We saw a presentation on the planets in our solar system. Ages: two boys, 8 and 9 years old, two millennials (the parents), in their early and late 30s, and me, the grandmother. I was lucky enough to grow up in Denver where museums are ubiquitous and I made sure I did as much with my own kids as I could despite the economy doing a dive especially post 9/11. Still I understand the importance of exposing kids to interesting information, and the planetarium at Delta College did not disappoint! The show almost was a bit too long for younger kids but managed to end with a trip down the Great Wall of China that captured the kids' attention again. NOTE: people with balance issues may want to close their eyes for this one, which I am not ashamed to say I had to do for most of this part! But the kids loved the information and the theatrical presentation so Al was good! The gift shop wasn't too expensive so that too was good! I gave the boys $20 and they were able to buy a couple of things each. There was a scale where you can find your weight on all the planets in the solar system and that was also fun. Numerous photos of space and NASA journeys on the walls were amazing, and the spacesuit was neat to look at. The downside? Outside of the actual shows in the planetarium and the few items I described there wasn't a whole lot more. I'm hoping that may change in the future. I know times are tough economically but boy it would be nice for all these billionaires who are going into space like Branson, Bezos, and Musk to perhaps invest a bit of that money into finding science for kids in the US vis a vis museums around the country. It's not like they don't have the money! I might advise to bring enough money to see back to back shows, since as we were leaving there was another presentation getting ready to start that was on a different topic.

I'm a big space nerd and have been to a few different planetariums, but this one is definitely the best. At a cost of $7 per show, you can't ask for a better value. Now, I can only speak for the "adult" shows, but I've been to about 8 now and have genuinely enjoyed them all, leaving with some newly gleaned knowledge that I was previously ignorant to. Ending each show with a view of the current night sky and learning how to locate local constellations is also a really lovely feature. The visuals and acoustics are superb, chairs are comfortable, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I also enjoy the videos and images throughout the building that you can look at while waiting. Note that tickets go on sale 1 hour before showtime; I usually will buy mine early (though have only once attended a sold out show), then walk around the downtown area or grab a beer nearby. It makes for a lovely evening or an afternoon break. All-in-all, I recommend the planetarium as an experience for all individuals, regardless of age.

While we see shows regularly in Detroit, we figured this was no further in the opposite direction to enjoy a production. The theater is beautiful! While my husband found the vintage seats a bit on the small side, even he was quick to say that what the theater lacked in modern amenities, it made up for in quaint charm. As a previous reviewer mentioned, it has a great, fancy, Fox Theatre feel to it. Parking was also easy, just a block or so down. It may get more crowded with other venues close by, but we had no issues when we went. Temple Theater is definitely somewhere we'd love to enjoy another show.

These events happen monthly and are free. The talk was very interesting and the whole feeling was warm and welcoming. Afterwards we spent about an hour looking at the well-designed and fascinating exhibits about the Native Americans in the area and then the development of the area up to the present. Highly recommend it as long as you are okay with a lot of reading.

A large playground for kids to play on, a big parking lot. The whole hall area is hardwood so you can make the dance floor as large as you would like. The inside has very tall ceilings with cool looking rafters. The kitchen and serving room, can be blocked off with sliding doors, and the bar area is a nice escape from the music in the hall. Three bathrooms, including a handicap bathroom which was great for my wife to get help with her dress. The people that run the hall were very nice and more than willing to let us tour the hall several times before the wedding. We had a full DJ on the stage, and he had easy access to the stage via the front door. The front door also made a great first entrance. Lots of room, lots of chairs and tables, we even had chairs outside for guests to enjoy the nice weather under the large overhang. This year we two of our friends are getting married and they live about a half hour away and decided to have the reception at the same hall. I highly recommend it. All these sweet kids running around with balls and cards to be signed are completly and entirely ignored by players. I understand not spending 30 mins signing autographs, I really do. But at the very bare minimum, speak. " hey guys thanks for coming, sorry I can't sign anything right now." That's it. Takes two seconds. Instead these adults who you pay to see completely ignore the kids. It's sad. You're getting paid to be watched. The least you can do is speak, or wave. These kids look up to you, and after tonight I can't see why.

This is a great stadium. It's not as massive as an MLB stadium, but it's got the same big-time feel. It is an upscale place to watch a (long) baseball game at a bargain price. There are numerous fireplaces located around the main deck, as well as food stands everywhere you turn. Staff was aplenty and very friendly. Unfortunately, the night we went was misty / rainy, but each time we went down to our seats, there was a staff member ready, towels in hand, to wipe down our seats. Now that is good customer service!
