We had 7:30 tickets to see Evan Hansen - we decided to go early to the Pendulum Lounge for dinner and drinks (since parking is so terrible we liked being able to do our entire evening in one place). We went to the MCFTA web site to look up the hours and menu and the site had the hours: 4:30 to 8 We showed up a little after 5 and asked at the ticket office where the lounge was- the 6 people standing looking at us were like deer in headlights, one person finally told us it wasn't open.... We told them we went on the website and it showed the lounge's hours and it didn't say anything about being closed.... they said nothing. And guess what? I got home from the show and went to the web site and NOW it says it's closed til May...... We haven't been happy with the Center for awhile now. It doesn't feel like it's being run very well. read more

Very upset. The museum used to be great. But then, they had a flood, and they closed off the museum. Totally understandable. Then they closed for COVID, alright. They haven't opened it since. We asked an employee, and they say that they will have it finished by 2025. 2025?! They haven't even started taking apart exhibits, or building anything. They've just kept it sitting there untouched for the past few years. Just tear the whole thing down if you're not even going to bother remodeling it. Never coming back read more

Unfortunately school was on break so lots of kids running around and yelling. Quite a few exhibits were out of order so that was frustrating. I'm looking forward to going again when it will be, hopefully, more quiet and exhibits will be working. The front desk staff person was very friendly and helpful for my first visit in many, many years! read more

The Pendulum Lounge has a relaxed atmosphere with tantalizing appetizers and indulgent drink selections. Easy listening musicians. Very cozy. Our server Shannon on the eve of July 28th 2022, seemed to be in a rush mode. Listening skills need work. The server had one menu for the specials of the day on the floor. I would suggest more copies for the guests so the servers wouldnt need to rush the orders. read more

Great museum. It has year round exhibits and hands on things for kids. Year round they have a large skeleton of a Wooly Mammoth. They also have different special exhibits. One of which was the dinosaur exhibit which contained numerous skeletons of dinosaurs. It also had many dinosaur related items on display such as eggs, claws and paleontology tools. They even let visitors watch a paleontologist clean off bones but sadly I was didn't make it on time. read more

Went here for the Grossology exhibit because I'm...Five. It was $9 to get in and we got to see the rest of the museum too. We got to play instruments, draw with our fingers on a huge screen, play games that put you in them...Basically act like kids again. This is why I will never grow up. read more

Excellent learning environment for your little ones. Various actives and an ever-changing main exhibit. Great for elementary-aged youth. Parents can enjoy exhibits as well. Gift shop with items classy enough to send to relatives/friends, and items for children as well. Local artist pieces on display. This building also offers stage performances and clean facilities. read more

Awesome little hands on museum. I went here recently for the traveling Dinosaur exhibit thinking it would be a bit childish and boy was I wrong. This is a very hands on place with lots of opportunity to stay involved with exhibits and really catching your interest. Awesome experience and will definitely be back. read more

We recently went here for a sold out concert event, and it was our first trip to MCFTA. Although the auditorium is very nice, and we thoroughly enjoyed the performance we watched here, we ran into several problems. There is not nearly enough parking for a full event in the auditorium. We arrived about 25 minutes early, and spent 15 driving around every lot within range trying to find a spot, and this was with us having a handicapped placard. We ended up parking in a residential area across a busy street without any crosswalk and walking several blocks back. By that time, they were closing the doors and we almost didn't get in. The staff was friendly, but after we climbed the stairs, they sent us to the other side of the auditorium to enter as it was closer to our seats. We went back downstairs (with my handicapped mother in law), across the building, and back upstairs to the other side. They then seemed confused and told us we shouldn't have gone that way, as our row was blocked from that side. Back downstairs, around, and back up we went, and only were let in after the concert had started after we explained what had happened. Loved the auditorium and performance, did not care at all for the lack of parking, organization, or preparedness. If you are disabled you may want to consider another venue. read more
