I fall along the latter spectrum (that's probably why I was hired), but I also crave time for myself. When I'm traveling, whether it be a train, plane, shuttle or taxi, I'm generally in my own head and if I'm going to get distracted, the personality has to be worth my time. Enter TJ, the Pilipino-born driver employed at SF Global, and his marvelously contagious laugh. The car (I didn't order a limo, it was still a luxurious ride) arrived in a timely fashion and was shiny clean, it smelled nice and had more than enough room for my bags and my rather long legs. TJ was smiling from the start, curious of why I was in San Francisco, telling me that his wife was a Yelp addict. He also served as a tour guide, pointing out various neighborhoods, orienting me to the layout of the city and giving me some tips about where to dine and explore the next time I visited. As the ride progressed closer to the airport I inquired about TJ's story: where he was from originally, how he got came to the U.S. and how the extended family was structured. I wouldn't have asked if I wasn't interested and he certainly intrigued me, as the trials of TJ's life unfolded-some difficult, most enlightening-he colored in the pauses with his fantastic laughter, a high-pitched, jovial, rapid-fire reaction which served to ease the tough stuff and celebrate triumphs. The trip was a breeze and, as always happens with these encounters, I'm now more knowledgeable about a new cultural narrative, the Philippines. I also know that the current cost of emigrating to this country is $800. Who knew? Bonus: SF Global does Square for payment. Bravo, TJ! Bravo SF Global!

Totally reasonable cost, and comfortable car. I kept his card, and remembered it when trying to get to the airport when a "something-force" convention was in town. I'd waited 45 minutes for a cab to arrive and was getting desperate. Somehow, Clarindo knew someone who was free, and they got me to the airport on time!! Without breaking any traffic laws, I might add. They're $10 more than a cab for me, but the peace of mind is worth it. They arrive EARLY. This morning, for a friend's 7:30 ride, the car service was waiting outside at 7AM! Amazing. Please note, though, that their rate on their website is wrong. It's $54 and not $45. They're working on fixing this, and are up front when you call to book a ride as well as reminding you before the ride, so there's no "hidden" surprise.

For less than a cab ride, he took us where we needed to go, and my parents ended up using him to get to the airport a few days later. Recently, when I was coming back from London and my mom was flying in to SF on the same day, my dad reminded us of Go Go and this time James picked my mom up and then returned a few hours later to pick me up. I used Go Go again this past weekend when flying back from Wisconsin. This time, Allen picked me up, and was extremely patient and courteous after my flight was delayed by almost three hours and my bags were delayed, getting me in past midnight. He even had a cold bottle of water waiting for me. I've not had much luck using the various van services when flying in to SFO and I always dread the thought of an hour long Bart ride after being on a plane. Go Go Transportation is professional and courteous. Their cars are clean and their communication is excellent. In addition, their prices are extremely reasonable and in my mind, totally worth it to have a confirmed safe, comfortable ride back home after a long day of flying. I highly recommend Go Go the next time you're looking for a ride to or from the airport.

Go Go Transportation (limousine service)…read more I usually do not go out of my way to take this type of transportation- but when the taxi hasn't arrived after 30 minutes and not one has come by for the last 15 and its the weekend at around 8 pm- well my chances were pretty slim to none.A limo sedan pulled over and inquired if I needed a ride- to whichI said, "YES!- I have been waiting for hours!" ok- i know- but it certainly felt like hours :-) I arrived at my friend's place an hour late- but little did I know that the service would continue on to the next day. I awoke to head back home when I realized my purse was missing. I called my friend's house to find out if I had left it behind- but having done a house search it was nowhere to be found. This left only the other possible place- the limo car. I still had the business card he had given me- and decided to give a call...but no answer. I left a message detailing my purse and went about my day canceling cards. I got a call later in the afternoon and Matt (the limo driver) asked me for a more accurate description- to which I noted other details. Finally he said assuredly, "Yes I do have it- I was just making sure. Where and When would you like me to bring it?" I found my purse back with its contents still intact- Matt (who is also the owner of the limo service) would not accept a reward- but I insisted upon his time and gas expenditure and finally managed him to accept! I was impressed by his humble and caring nature- I was glad to find my purse back but even happier to know that people like Matt- honest and dutiful, still exist today to make life a little better for the rest of us. It's generally reliable, however, the first time I used this service, I had to be picked up at 5:45 am to make a flight and the driver never showed up!!! It was around 6:30 when I finally gave up and woke my husband up to drive me to SFO. Oh well, I have since forgiven them since I've used them 2 more times and both times have been very pleasant.
