[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice little bar with pretty tasty food options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We visited just to check it out. They had some good drafts and great bar service. I would have no problems going back to visit sometime.

Excellent service. Friendly and gave appropriate time and patience to us. Place is spacious. Nice Subtle art and wood floors. Garage like windows that more than likely open in warmer weather. Beers were good and made in house! Onion rings were the best I've EVER had! Sauce to dip tangy. Burger I was told was good.

A great new addition to the neighborhood! Solid, crowd pleaser beers. Busy but comfortable atmosphere.

A great addition to the Cleveland brewery scene (so much that is is part of the Cleveland brewery passport network) this is a really nice and friendly place with very good food that is quite eclectic - from empanadas and mediterranean shareables to tasty smash burgers. As expected a great beer selection as well. Highly recommended!

Great brewery in Shaker Heights. While I am not a beer fan I did have Western Reserve 8 year which was smooth. The 8 year was $22 but they never listed prices on the menu. Not at all happy about that.

It's so great to have a new brewery on the east side. We enjoyed some smash burgers and a couple of pints.

Easily the best craft beer on the east side! Their food is fantastic too. Definitely recommend this great little spot for lunch or dinner.

CASH ONLY as of 8/9/2024!!!!…read more I've had an obsession with cubanos for years! I once spent an entire vacation in Sarasota just hitting up Cuban restaurants and eat all the cubanos I could. So once I found myself in the area on one of the few days Sabor Miami is open each week, I called in an order of a cubano sandwich ($12.50) and a cubano empanada ($3.50). They were ready in 15 minutes during which I looked around the restaurant's cute interior and themed merch for sale. I ate the sandwich immediately. This was one BIG honker of a sandwich! It kept me full for hours! The bread was toasted and incredible and the pork was tender and salty. The cheese was a bit too processed and of low quality, unfortunately. Meanwhile, the empanada is very small. For $3.50, I was expecting something bigger and stuffed with more filling. This was going to be my dinner (so I ate it a few hours after I ordered it) but ended up just being an afternoon snack. It was tasty though! I wouldn't mind having the sandwich again, that's for sure! The staff was also very friendly.

Very sadly, I just saw that the two other locations are closing immediately, just 1 day after our Valentine's Day dinner at the Larchmere location - now officially, the only one left standing. The Lakewood Barroco was in my top 5 favorite restaurants in all of Cleveland and I am super bummed. I hope this last location will stay open for a very long time. As for the Barroco food, it was superb. We went all out and tried a few things on the menu. We aren't big drinkers but I sipped on a strawberry mojito with lots of real strawberries throughout ($14) and my bf enjoyed the "Iguana," a pretty little rum cocktail ($12). We shared the shrimp device and tostones appetizer ($18). The tostones reminded me of a structurally sound latke, or potato pancake! Our shrimp ceviche was doused in lemon juice and mixed with lots of healthy vegetables. This was large enough to be an entree for a healthy eater! However, we still had lots of room in our tummies and we each got our own main dish. I stuck to the arepa and yucca fries combo I love so much, although I switched it up and ordered a different arepa than my usual. I liked my "Ropa Vieja," or braised beef arepa ($22), fine but I prefer my usual pulled pork arepa much much more. The braised beef arepa was like a sloppy Joe in an arepa. Made for pretty good leftovers though! My beloved was feeling adventurous and treated himself to a nice and fatty cut of the Carne Asada and Calentado entree ($38). After tax and tip, our bill was a hefty $130 for the two of us. I'd say that the food, the service, and the ambiance made it worth it though and I hope it continues to stay open so we can come back!!

I ordered the pork and fried plantain twice (carne frita y tostones). They're pretty tasty. What makes it special is the very nice cashier that has always taken our order. I know they opened a few months ago and I am sure they will keep getting better. My one piece of advice is the following. When I first walked in all you can see is their fritters in the case (empanadas, I call them pastellillos, papa rellena (meat filled potato balls) and alcapuria. That's all I thought they had and I almost walked out, turned around and decided to try. As I was ordering my husband found one single piece a paper with menu. They had so much more to offer. So hopefully they can get large colorful images of their food and prices and have it fill their side wall. Other than that, Kuddos to this small business. Let's keep them open.
