I've passed Honeybirch Bakehouse more times than I can count, always thinking "oh yeah! This is here. I want to try it." Finally, my husband and I went because we set a goal for 2026 to try a new bakery. Honeybirch did not disappoint! The friendly couple who owns the shop is hard at work putting out delicious and ever changing goods. I got hooked by the cardamom bun, which luckily is one of their staples. I live near here and finally checked them out for the first time today. Everything looked so good- I ended up with a pepperoni roll and French Toast flavored focaccia. OMG the focaccia was outstanding, had blueberries in it and was glazed. Not sickly sweet, just sweet enough. The quality of the bread was on point. Definitely will be coming back here. read more

Thanks to Too Good To Go (and my love of desserts!), I finally got around to trying Honeybirch Bakehouse a few weeks ago, a "new-ish" bakery on the other side of Cleveland Heights from my house. For a discounted price of about $9, I came home with 4 delicious baked goods and a mini baguette about an hour before they closed for the day. Note: $9 is way less than what you will normally pay for these 5 items. They average around $4 each. I got a savory scone, a massive cookie, a mini baguette, an apple muffin, and a huge cinnamon roll. I ate the cinnamon roll nearly right away once I got home. The cinnamon roll with cream cheese ($6) was SOOOOO moist and decadent! I warmed it up for a few seconds and then enjoyed one of the best cinnamon roll I have ever had. The vanilla and cinnamon were very prominent. Definitely a calorie bomb though. I shared the other sweet treats with my sister the next day and we agreed that the next best item was the muffin. I should also mention that the staff member that helped me that afternoon was very nice and most likely the owner. He was very helpful in explaining what each item I got in my box was and also in helping me decide on a gift for a friend I was about to see soon. I bought my friend a box of locally made teas for about $14 and she loved them! I definitely hope to come back here soon (once I have worked off the pounds from this most recent visit haha)! read more

My morning at HoneyBirch Bakehouse was so flavorful. I stopped in Cleveland's Larchmere neighborhood this morning. The space is cozy and inviting, modern but still very homey, perfect for grabbing something delicious to-go or enjoying a quiet bite at one of the sidewalk tables. The cafe also has a mini pantry with teas (like the local Storehouse), very interesting international chocolates, and even chocolate that can be made into a drink. I got French truffles. I tried one of their famed cardamom knots, and it was divine - perfectly spiced, lightly sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth soft. I also grabbed mushroom boureka and was surprised to see whole mushrooms in there, so so good! In addition, I got baked cheesecake piece, which was easily the best cheesecake of my life! Seriously! It was very fresh, creamy, and topped with some berry preserve. I can't say enough good things about that slice! Their commitment to using high-quality ingredients really comes through in every bite. Beyond my finds, I learned that they also have sandwiches for lunch and fresh baked bread (including focaccia that looked delicious)! I plan to stop by for bread soon! What I appreciated most was how friendly and knowledgeable the owners were, they genuinely seemed excited to share their creations. They were also very genuine. From the moment I walked in, I felt incredibly welcome by the owners. One of them even explained all their famous treats - cardamom knots and bourekas. Great little wife and husband owned bakery & deli. The sandwiches are amazing with my favorite being the apple Brie and fig with turkey. Tried a boureka today which was like a flaky puff pastry with spinach and cheese and was so good! The baguettes they use are so good that I have bought them to make other sandwiches at home too. Parking is free street parking and was pretty readily available each time I was there. There was not any indoor seating that I saw, but two small two seater tables outside that were nice and clean. The owners were so nice and our sandwiches were ready pretty quickly. Would highly recommend! read more

It's so nice to see new businesses open up on Larchmere -- especially a bakery! Honeybirch is a great addition to the area, with its baked goods that has something for everyone. I've visited them several times and have been able to try something new each time. What I enjoy is that for the quick bite bakery items, they often have some savory and sweet options for whatever mood you are in. In addition, they have a section in the back of the store where they carry a variety of noodles/ sauces/ candies that the owners personally enjoy, or are made by other local creators. The outside and inside of the place is also really warm and welcoming, which makes it easy to want to go back. The only caveat with some of their goods that we have found is that some of their puff pastries seem a bit "deflated" and have lost their optimal crisp by the time we eat time. This may be because a lot of their pastries are open to the air on display instead of in a case -- which although is nice to look at -- does affect the taste somewhat. read more

This place is around the corner from my apartment. I typically stop by each weekend for a baguette, boureka and a slice of quiche. I've brought several people to try the offerings and everyone has been happy with what they ordered. The cookies are good as well. Ok, so I wanted to grab some baked goods for a morning meeting at church. I open Yelp and was provided with Honeybirch Bakehouse. I was greeted kindly when I walked in the door. The shop was neat and looked clean. I was not familiar with the baked goods here so I had questions about the items. The gentleman was so kind and explained each item so I grabbed a variety of items. Let me try to break it down. My sister took the mushroom boureka she said it was very delicious and tasty. I split the Spinach Artichoke and Potato Boureka with another person in order to try them both. They were full of flavor and goodness. We also had vegan fruit puffs, they too were a hit. We had some cinnamon and cardamom Knots as well as custard and chocolate puff pastry. We even grab a bagel with cream cheese. All I can say is thank you Yelp for the recommendation. We thoroughly enjoyed Honeybirch Bakehouse. I just say I will be back for the Bourekas. read more
