Shuttle van provides transportation to and from hotels

I love to ride ATVs and always find a way to do it on vacations. Bo and Midnight Sun provided the best experience ever! It is a "must do" if you want to see the natural beauty of the area and have a sense of adventure. The trail went up a mountain firebreak/logging road and provided two or three stops for photos. Breathtaking! We were out for hours and loved every minute of it. Bo lets his riders ride to their, and the machines, ability. I had never tried a side-by-side before but I absolutely loved it! This baby can go anywhere and get there fast. Midnight Sun provides shuttle transportation to and from hotels, it just needs to be arranged in advance. The owner, Paul, has excellent communication skills so there were no unpleasant surprises. We also got to connect with Sasha, Bo's canine companion, and just fell in love with her. TIP: Bring bug spray as the mosquitoes attack at the photo stops. You don't have to stop to take pics and enjoy the view, but we wanted to! They provide gators, gloves, helmets and other equipment along with snacks. We wore our Frogg Toggs, but they weren't absolutely necessary. I'm glad we did as part of the trail is very dusty and there is a fair amount of mud (if you do it right!) This is a veteran owned business and Bo is an a veteran too. Bo was ready for anything and we felt completely safe throughout the trip. This was the Best ATV ride ever and it will be one of the first things I book on our next trip to Fairbanks! DO IT- BOOK THIS TRIP!

Other than ATV, they do Snowmobiling. And the best kind of snowmobiling in Fairbanks!!! If you are in Fairbanks, do not miss this activity. The tour sells out quickly so do plan ahead. This tour/activity is fantastic, the trail is amazing, the equipment is of high quality and the best part is how detailed and well organized, John and Paul are before, during and after the tour. They take time to fit you in the right gear for the activity, they are so detailed that nothing escapes their attention and they will extend above and beyond for your safety and comfort! Also I felt John had the patience of monks! Esp since this was our first time around a snowmobile, they helped us. guided us and were uber patient with us as we learnt the navigation of the snowmobiles. Gave us more than plenty time and space to get used to the driving part and then going thru with it. The stop in between to get a preview of the Fort Know gold mine and get the history around it and the narration was an added perk! Superb organization, great friendly amazing folks and their equipment is above class and very very well maintained. 10 stars out of 5!!

Rick truly made sure our experience was the most fun we had on our entire trip to Alaska. He gave me a 10% discount off the bat and even showed up an hour early when we asked last minute if we could do it earlier since it would be more convenient than returning to our Airbnb. His shop is clean, well stocked with gear, snacks, water, hot chocolate and coffee. He gave us the full safety briefing and showed us how to work the ATVs before we left. The midnight sun tour was one of the most fun things I've ever done. 32 miles through untouched Alaskan wilderness down an untouched mining road. Go with them for your adventurous tour needs in Alaska, you won't be disappointed!

So, we borrowed jackets, overalls, gloves, gaiters, and boots. She was also efficient as she handed the snow clothing to my group of 5. At first, I planned to use my own jacket and gloves, but I decided to place them in containers that are under the benches. I did wear my own beanie though. During the tour, our guide was very friendly as she made small talk with us. She was also kind to the dogs while she helped them navigate the snowy trail. I wish I remembered her name, but she was there on New Year's Eve. I sat closer to the front of the sled which was bumpy and some turns were sharp. So be sure to hold on tight to your belongings because the dogs will not stop until the middle of the 30-minute tour. During the mini break, the dogs were calm and friendly when I pet a few of them. I also appreciate the photos that the female and male tour guides took of my family and I. After returning to the building, we had to discard the used winter clothing into bins. Thank you to Rod's Alaskan Guide Service for a memorable experience!

Their driver, Christian picked us up on time from our hotel in Fairbanks in a nice new van. Her was very polite and fun to talk with on the way up and back. I was really impressed with how clean and nice the facility was. When we arrived, the ladies at the front checked our gear to be sure we'd be warm enough. They have everything you could need to suit up for an excursion. They were short on snow the weekend we went so we used the side by side instead of the sled, but we still had a great time. Our musher, Jimmy Lebling was an excellent guide and he made for such a great experience! I learned a lot more than I expected to about the dogs and racing. Jimmy's dogs were very friendly! We would recommend Rods and Jimmy!

The vibes are good and they were having spirit week - we saw prom, pride, and Jerry (Gerry? The nubey one). The staff are all very friendly and helpful! The manager is such a fun guy to chat with. We did a lesson with Callie and she was great despite us being super nervous. We're both in our thirties and have never skiied before, but we had a great time and mastered the bunny hill no problem. The rest of the mountain was a little too advanced for us fresh beginners, but no one teased me when I decided to hoof it halfway down they even took my partner out on the snow mobile to help us find my lost ID! They are as unpretentious as they come. Friendly people, fair prices, welcoming atmosphere, gorgeous views, scary (but fun) sport. Highly recommend Skiland & their excellent team PS we saw the lights so beautifully up there

Considering the facts that the slopes are wild open and minimal crowds, this is excellent value for any skier or snowboarder looking for a fun day on the mountain in Alasak! One of the highlights of this ski resort is the variety of terrain available. There are a good amount of green and blue slopes for beginners and intermediates and also black slopes for skiers who looking for a challenge. While the snow quality wasn't the best, due to it been March, it was still a fun day of skiing! The view was definitely stunning. The scenery was breathtaking! Overall, I highly recommend this Ski resort, for the price, the epic view, lack of crowd and the variety of terrains. The views alone are with the trip!
