Just did the evening tour yesterday and I can't recommend the tour enough! It was well worth the money. The tour was thrilling without being too difficult if you've never done off roading. The views spectacular and guide very helpful and knowledgeable. This is Not atv rides on dirt logging roads, this is in the forest climbing up the side of the mountain to its peak! Deep mud during our ride so we got Dirty! Will definitely do this again in the future and if we come in the winter we will try the snowmobile tour. read more

I love to ride ATVs and always find a way to do it on vacations. Bo and Midnight Sun provided the best experience ever! It is a "must do" if you want to see the natural beauty of the area and have a sense of adventure. The trail went up a mountain firebreak/logging road and provided two or three stops for photos. Breathtaking! We were out for hours and loved every minute of it. Bo lets his riders ride to their, and the machines, ability. I had never tried a side-by-side before but I absolutely loved it! This baby can go anywhere and get there fast. Midnight Sun provides shuttle transportation to and from hotels, it just needs to be arranged in advance. The owner, Paul, has excellent communication skills so there were no unpleasant surprises. We also got to connect with Sasha, Bo's canine companion, and just fell in love with her. TIP: Bring bug spray as the mosquitoes attack at the photo stops. You don't have to stop to take pics and enjoy the view, but we wanted to! They provide gators, gloves, helmets and other equipment along with snacks. We wore our Frogg Toggs, but they weren't absolutely necessary. I'm glad we did as part of the trail is very dusty and there is a fair amount of mud (if you do it right!) This is a veteran owned business and Bo is an a veteran too. Bo was ready for anything and we felt completely safe throughout the trip. This was the Best ATV ride ever and it will be one of the first things I book on our next trip to Fairbanks! We came into Fairbanks a few days early and were looking for a group activity. There were 6 of us in our group ranging from 15-70 years old so finding something that suited everyone would be a challenge....until we found Rick and Midnight Sun. I reached out to Rick to find out more about their tours and pricing. Thru the website if you are a group like ours you can get a 10% discount and they offer discounts for other groups like seniors and military. We decided on the 9a-2p tour and booked it. Rick confirmed that they would pick us up and drop off back at our hotel free of charge, very nice touch. After arriving at their facility Rick offered a thorough yet necessary overview of the Side By Sides we would be taking out on the trail. Some members of our group had never ridden before while others had limited experience. In no time though we were suited up in our helmets, goggles, bandanas, and gloves and on the trail. 16 miles later and several awesome photo ops we reached an incredible 2500' peak with 360 views including Fairbanks in the far distance. Truly breathtaking and our 15 year old son summed it up perfectly when he said, "Now this is Alaska". We rode back the same trail we came up and got back to the base camp for some snacks and to use their restrooms before Rick took us back to our hotel. All of us are so excited about this tour, easily one of the best things we've done on any vacation. One thing that made this truly special was the owner and our guide for the day "Rick". He was full of knowledge and insight throughout our 5 hours and took so many photos of our group along the way. He would jump off his ATV and come running back to take photos from multiple angles and using different features on our phones. Truly a man who loves what he does and is proud of his business. We will gladly refer everyone to Midnight Sun in the future. read more

Other than ATV, they do Snowmobiling. And the best kind of snowmobiling in Fairbanks!!! If you are in Fairbanks, do not miss this activity. The tour sells out quickly so do plan ahead. This tour/activity is fantastic, the trail is amazing, the equipment is of high quality and the best part is how detailed and well organized, John and Paul are before, during and after the tour. They take time to fit you in the right gear for the activity, they are so detailed that nothing escapes their attention and they will extend above and beyond for your safety and comfort! Also I felt John had the patience of monks! Esp since this was our first time around a snowmobile, they helped us. guided us and were uber patient with us as we learnt the navigation of the snowmobiles. Gave us more than plenty time and space to get used to the driving part and then going thru with it. The stop in between to get a preview of the Fort Know gold mine and get the history around it and the narration was an added perk! Superb organization, great friendly amazing folks and their equipment is above class and very very well maintained. 10 stars out of 5!! read more

A fun snowmobile tour through a beautiful terrain. Keith was really accommodating, despite the fact that my wife was a bit careful and my 5yo daughter got a bit scared on a more bumpy terrain / engines revving when turning around. Machines were nicely featured with comfortable seats for 2 passengers and even a heated helmet. It's located on the road to Chena Springs, so may be worth combining the afternoon tour with an evening at the springs! read more

Rick truly made sure our experience was the most fun we had on our entire trip to Alaska. He gave me a 10% discount off the bat and even showed up an hour early when we asked last minute if we could do it earlier since it would be more convenient than returning to our Airbnb. His shop is clean, well stocked with gear, snacks, water, hot chocolate and coffee. He gave us the full safety briefing and showed us how to work the ATVs before we left. The midnight sun tour was one of the most fun things I've ever done. 32 miles through untouched Alaskan wilderness down an untouched mining road. We did the midnight sun evening tour and it was amazing! It was so much fun riding the ATVs and seeing the beautiful Alaska scenery- including the most picturesque view from the top. Rick was so nice and friendly and did a great job explaining everything and making sure we were safe and comfortable on the trail. He even provided extra sweatshirts and jackets to make sure we were warm enough on the trail. This was our favorite thing we did in Alaska and I highly recommend this activity to anyone staying in the Fairbanks area! read more

We were picked up at our hotel near Fairbanks and enjoyed a great conversation out to the Midnight Sun facility. From there we had a quick orientation and were off to the trail, which could not have been more breathtaking. We rode fast, saw the beauty of the surrounding area and genuinely had one of the best experiences of our trip. Last week four of us went on a 32 mile ATV tour through through the Alaskan outback. Sounds like a long ride but it went fast! It was rousing and picturesque adventure. The machines were brand new, so safety and reliability were never a concern. Our guides Bo and Josh we extremely professional and considerate. They Stopped to show us key points interest of beauty. Also they were extremely conscious of keeping their mountains clean an litter free. You could see the pride they have in their beautiful home. It was our first ATV tour and it was truly exhilarating. This was to be the first extra-curricular tour my wife and I had planned to take part in during our recent 10-day land/sea vacation in Alaska. Unfortunately, things got off to a bad start when our flight was delayed four hours at our jumping-off point, Orlando. That caused us to miss our connecting flight from Seattle to Anchorage, and the subsequent connecting flight from Anchorage to Fairbanks. And because we were scheduled for the Midnight Sun ATV tour immediately upon arrival in Fairbanks, we knew we would not be able to make that appointment, and we were concerned that we'd lose the money we'd paid for the tour, since we weren't able to cancel in time for a refund. Needless to say, the flight from Orlando to Seattle was not a fun one. But in the final analysis, the delay in Orlando turned out to be providential. First, when we finally got to Seattle, we were able to get a direct flight into Fairbanks, which eliminated one whole plane ride. Then, when we got to our hotel in Fairbanks and contacted the tour operator, Rick, he said he'd be happy to give us a complete refund. Alternatively, he said he'd love to have us come out and join them for the evening tour. We chose the latter option, and we're very glad we did. Our guide, Kevin, picked us up at our hotel that evening. There were only two other people on the tour, a couple of really nice kids from India who are studying in the US. While we drove out to the ATV barn from town, Kevin shared his wealth of information about Fairbanks and Alaska in general. And when we arrived at the barn (which, by the way, is a like-new and well-kept metal building), we were pleasantly surprised to see the very nice Can-Am ATVs we'd be driving. Kevin provided us with some quality goggles and helmets and, after a short briefing, we were off! And I'm here to tell you, we tore up those trails that night! (I say "night", but since Fairbanks had 19 to 20 hours of daylight that day, it was still virtually daytime when we got back to our hotel around 11:00 PM.) The trails we rode were varied. Some of them were dry and dusty, which made me regret turning down the bandana Kevin had offered back at the barn (don't make that mistake). At times we reached speeds upwards of 30 mph; at others we had to waltz those vehicles over ruts, smuts, blights and through mud. We stopped a few times along the way to see the sights, take shapshots, and learn about the flora and fauna. We stopped once to look at bear tracks. And the view at the end of the trail was spectacular. On our way back to the barn, we stopped alongside the trail and walked a ways into the forest to a clearing on some property Kevin owned. There he had built a cabin, replete with a wrap-around porch with a drawbridge contraption to keep the bears from climbing through the windows. It was fascinating to how this guy had improvised and compromised to build himself and his kids this rustic cabin out in the wilderness. Anyhow, all too soon, we were back at the barn, where Kevin blew all the dirt off of us with an air hose and provided us with a bag of chips and a bottle of water for the ride back into town. We didn't know it at the time, but for sheer fun, this was to be the highlight of our entire Alaska trip. If you find yourself in Fairbanks with about 6 hours to kill, book this tour!! read more

this was an excellent tour and our guide, John, was wonderful. The views were incredible and he made. the tour a lot of fun. This is a "must experience" when in Fairbanks.
