For my meal, I ordered the African vegetable and dip sampler plate which was fresh and appetizing, as well as the lamb meatballs, which were very flavorful and feeling! The meals on the menu are small plates. One thing that I would like to see for this restaurant in the future is to have full plates on the menu. The first time I visited was near Christmas and it was freezing outside, but they had a burning fireplace and the cutest little enclosed glass houses you could sit in to enjoy your drinks. During my recent visit, we had our 1 yr old son with us and decided to have dinner there and enjoy the weather. I had the Valencian Spritz (reposado, orange aperitif wine, fresh orange, white pepper, and cava) which was the perfect summer drink. My husband had the Soft Light mocktail (zero proof gin, papaya, kefir, and saline). For food, we started with the Labneh dip topped with olive oil, za'atar, and honey with fresh pitas on the side. Wow, this has got to be the best pita I've ever had. They were so fluffy, warm, and well seasoned. We even got a second order. The labneh dip was phenomenal -- highly recommend for an appetizer or just a snack. We also shared to the falafel bites and the Alida Burger which was very tasty! They have a solid whiskey selection behind the bar if you were looking to do some pours or shots -- pours based on the bottle I saw. They also make some cool cocktails off the cuff. A touch methodical, but they were good, at least the ones my wife enjoyed. Like at every other bar in Savannah, per the ordinances, there is a door person who checks IDs, so make sure you have it. When I walked in, I was gazing around and then all of a sudden, a man appeared asking for ID. They usually have someone watching from the top of the stairs or from the level you enter, but they will check you so keep note if you're not used to bringing your ID with you (not sure why you wouldn't, but I digress).

The server will tell you, the menu says tapas, but the servings are larger than that. Meat portions are generous at 6 oz. My only complaint is that I ordered my steak medium and got closer to well done. At least the steak was still moist and not dried out, but I would be hesitant to do the steak again. The spinach risotto I had with it was creamy and cheesy, however, so that was nice. Other options for food include burrata, a charcuterie board, grilled shrimp, sea bass, salmon, scallops. A bold, slow sipper I would have done better to have later in the evening, but I still appreciate the complexity of it. I also had the Bella primavera, a lighter cocktail under the signature section. Made with pisco, blanc vermouth, French herbal liqueur, watermelon, and basil leaf. A smoother, brighter, faster sip than the Medusa. And I also had the blood orange martini, made with French vodka, blood orange, lime, and cranberry. A little sweet, but not cloying, and again, would have been a better starter as opposed to a closer. I think when I return, I will ask the bartender to make me off the menu drinks.
