Staying at The Westin in Savannah for a wedding weekend so we try this place for a snack and cocktail , the food are good as well as the cocktail I highly recommend " the Oglethorpe " it's refreshing . The ambiance are relaxing , great view of the river and friendly staff . We had a great time !

This review is based solely on two things: the whiskeys they offer and the prices at which they offer the whiskeys. For a hotel bar this place has a great selection, granted, they are limited by availability, but basically everywhere in the country is limited with spirits like Blantons, Elmer, angels envy rye but settling for a woodford double oak or Jefferson is not a bad thing. We didn't eat anything and there weren't very many food/good options. The bar nuts were good, the server and pours were both above par as well.

My wife had…read morebeen enjoying drinks with our friend there when I showed up after my staff retreat activities for the day. It's a fun hangout, playing rock music from the 00s, which gives it a nostalgic vibe. Buck from the bar was very hospitable and made me feel at home. I enjoyed an Almond Joy cocktail that was quite good, as well as a shot of Jameson, which I needed after the long, intensive day I had. They have a solid whiskey selection behind the bar if you were looking to do some pours or shots -- pours based on the bottle I saw. They also make some cool cocktails off the cuff. A touch methodical, but they were good, at least the ones my wife enjoyed. Like at every other bar in Savannah, per the ordinances, there is a door person who checks IDs, so make sure you have it. When I walked in, I was gazing around and then all of a sudden, a man appeared asking for ID. They usually have someone watching from the top of the stairs or from the level you enter, but they will check you so keep note if you're not used to bringing your ID with you (not sure why you wouldn't, but I digress).

While the restaurants for the most part are nothing to write home about (several of which I also reviewed separately), the ambiance and beautiful riverfront dining is. This is a multi-purpose area. There are chairs to sit outside and enjoy music and watch the ships pass by. A splash pad. There is a large event venue. Restaurants range from pizza/Italian, Mexican/tacos, a rooftop bar, gelato, a chophouse. There is a burger place, a biergarten, seafood. A few places that sell art and some exhibits by artists in residence. Shopping includes jewelry, cookies, outdoor/clothing/apparel, and other boutiques. A great place to walk, browse, people watch, and just relax, and is nearby the main hub of Savannah.

What a beautiful picturesque place to have some bites and cocktails!…read more I was welcomed into this moody, velvety spot with a sweeping view of the river. Beautiful glass, marble, deep colors of navy, mauve, and gold. Service was wonderful, felt welcomed immediately. For my appetizer, I had the crab cake with homemade tartar sauce, which was a light, bright way to start the evening. For my entree, I had the filet mignon. The server will tell you, the menu says tapas, but the servings are larger than that. Meat portions are generous at 6 oz. My only complaint is that I ordered my steak medium and got closer to well done. At least the steak was still moist and not dried out, but I would be hesitant to do the steak again. The spinach risotto I had with it was creamy and cheesy, however, so that was nice. Other options for food include burrata, a charcuterie board, grilled shrimp, sea bass, salmon, scallops. The cocktails are the real star here. They fall under the categories "strong and adventurous," light fare," and "signature." Non-alcoholic cocktails are also available. I started with the medusa 1597, under "strong and adventurous." Made with Old Tom Gin, extra dry vermouth, truffle, grapefruit, and amaro, it was extremely strong. A bold, slow sipper I would have done better to have later in the evening, but I still appreciate the complexity of it. I also had the Bella primavera, a lighter cocktail under the signature section. Made with pisco, blanc vermouth, French herbal liqueur, watermelon, and basil leaf. A smoother, brighter, faster sip than the Medusa. And I also had the blood orange martini, made with French vodka, blood orange, lime, and cranberry. A little sweet, but not cloying, and again, would have been a better starter as opposed to a closer. I think when I return, I will ask the bartender to make me off the menu drinks. This place seems creative enough that the outcome would be fantastic. I loved this place. The vibe, the view, the service, the offerings. Can't wait to see what more they have in store.

But I do know if you buy a ticket to the basement Delilah's burlesque show, you get automatic entrance. The drinks are fine. Basics like mojito, daiquiri, Cuba libre, rum punch. Martinis, old fashions, corpse reviver, etc. Nothing innovative here, but the very cool seating area is what you're after here. The service is good. The best part is the burlesque show. It was an exceptional hour of entertainment. Since it was October, the girls did Halloween themed shows, like Thriller and zombie dances. Colorful, exciting, exotic, creative. I paid almost 123 dollars for a VIP table (three seats, I was solo, so essentially I paid for three seats at one table) up front. It's a super small venue and the general admission seats are mere feet behind the tables and much cheaper. So I wouldn't recommend the VIP tables unless you're just wanting to spend big for no reason. Loved the Delilah's. It's really the only reason to go to Mata Hari's though.
