I stopped of here on route 66, at the halfway point in Adrian, TX. I was circumnavigating USA on my Harley for a holiday, and like pie and coffee for my lunch every day. Fantastic pie!!!. Definately a must-do stop for anyone traveling on route 66. read more

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. My wife had the BLT, and I had tomato soup and coconut pie. Yummy! The bacon in my wife's sandwich was thick and meaty... not cheap fatty bacon that you see at most sandwich shops. The one waitress was busy with a couple of larger groups, but I had no problem flagging her down, and she was very friendly. As someone else mentioned, these are not cheap diner prices, but it's worth it to have quality food and a cute little Route-66 stop. I recommend planning your lunch-stop here. read more

I was pretty full when my family stopped to try the ugly pie but I am glad that we did. We ordered the whiskey pecan pie and the chocolate peanut butter pie, both were phenomenal. The gift shop had a good selection but was a little overpriced. Well worth the stop. read more

Not only is this place a blast from the past as a retro diner but the people there give you a taste of small town America. Plus the food is phenomenal and you must get the fried bologna sandwich and some pie. Take plenty of pictures and make sure to check out the gift shop. read more

Drove from Dallas and got here at 3:20. Website shows they close at 4:00 but they closed early. Wth???

I'm not a burger fan. But I tried their famous burger and it was surprisingly good. It was juicy and flavorful. But very greasy though. The only thing was it took at least 40 minutes for the food to be ready. But the restaurant was pretty full and it was during the lunch rush hours. But I guess it's alright. read more

This is a cute place and well worth the stop. They have a cute little gift shop. The cobbler looked pretty good. They werent the most customer friendly but I think it was because I stopped in at the same time as a tour group. read more

Amazing place. If you're passing through it's a must-stop. Not only is it an historic cafe, but the people are delightful and the food is yummy. Delicious, fluffy pancakes, and the biscuit breakfast sandwich was great too. Dennis (the owner) was even nice enough to sit down and chat with us for a bit in between baking the famous "Ugly" pies. Do yourself a favor and get off I-40 for 45 minutes and enjoy the small-town beauty of Midpoint Cafe. read more

Driving from Michigan to Phoenix. Took time to see the Route 66 "mid-point" marker and stopped for a wonderful lunch. Friendly people in a very clean cafe. The bean burger was excellent and the BLT was delicious! We highly recommend making a very short trip off of I-40 to have a meal here. Oh, and be sure to save room for the homemade Apple Pie à la mode! read more

I headed up a group of 5 bikers for a ride of Route 66 and this was a place we had heard a lot about. We were not disappointed as the owner was there and offered up about 10 minutes worth of history about the place and Route 66. We came here just past lunch, so our only reason for stopping (other than to say we stopped at a Route 66 diner), was to experience the feeling of a good OLE ROOTBEER FLOAT...and we were NOT disappointed. And while the other reviewer noted the somewhat expensive food...we felt it was worth it. These dying places need some sort of revenue so we thought of it more as an "admission fee" and we were perfectly fine with it. I would recommend this to anyone that wants good food, good company and a touch of nostalgia. read more

Such a fun little place off the beaten path! Well, I guess if you are out on the old Route 66, you'll come across it. Great little gift shop. Super friendly staff. We had their ugly crust apple pie (delicisous!) and some Route 66 Sodas on a our quick stop. Looked like they had more great food. Great little tourist spot! I recommend stopping! read more

We stopped at this place only to take a photo on the famous route 66 on the street. We noticed the cafe and decided to give it a try. We absolutely loved it? we ordered cheeseburgers, they were beyond DELICIOUS and freshly made, we also tried the Ugly pie that was also delicious. If we ever have to drive through here again we will definitely stop here again! read more

You can just make this cafe out from I-40. Doesn't look like much, but don't miss it! The inside is spotlessly clean and all about Rt 66. We had the small Texas burger w/ potato salad -- the best burger we have had in a long time. They are famous for their pies. The coconut cream was delicious! Don't forget to take your picture at the Midpoint sign and see their cool gift shop. read more

The grill closes at 3 o'clock so only pie was available when we got there. We each got a slice, deciding to have our dessert first, then stop on down the road for our supper. The pie was really good - we had coconut cream and whiskey-chocolate chip- pecan. The folks here were very nice, and the cafe was one of the cleanest we've seen! Spotless! read more
