Won't stop breaking down! Thousands of dollars in repairs! Horrible experience!
Please don't buy I car from him!
We bought a car from this place because my old car had a blown head gasket and I decided it wasn't worth the cost of the repair. everything looked good on the car we were looking at from this place and I saw no signs of any issues. I checked everything that I knew to check that would give me any clues on the heath of the engine, It all looked good. Unfortunately, I don't know a lot about cars. I got an oil change the day I bought it and made sure it had enough coolant in the radiator and overflow, oil and everything. They warned me when I got the oil change that it probably has a bad head gasket, but I didn't want to believe it. We gave this man every penny we have and then some. He said "I promise you it has a perfect engine and a perfect transmission, you won't have to get anything fixed." I overheated 6 days after I bought this thing, Smoke coming from the hood. It's a $1700 repair for a blown head gasket. I am devastated. My mechanic who I trust very much said that there was no way he(owner of midtown auto brokers) wouldn't have known about this issue, and it had to have been this way for a while. I called the owner and told him what happened, he didn't sound surprised by this. He told me it's not his problem now and I "let the water get low" and it was my fault(that makes no sense) and hung up on me. This man is horrible. Don't buy your car from here. You will end up paying more for repairs than just going to a reputable place.
Then it Broke down again! Check engine light on, could be a bad cat($2500ish repair) can't stress how much this place sucks. read more
