Car that was (almost) sold to my son was previously in a wreck and totaled. Salesman Valencio advised us it was a repo in the beginning of this sale. Had to run the Car-fax ourself to find out otherwise (still have the message with him advising us to do this) even tho there's advertisements at the office for this service. Not impressed. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM HERE!!! I bought my car (Mazda CX-7) on 01/15/2022. We noticed a knocking sound, and asked the saleswoman what that sound was. She told me multiple times and assured me it was only a plastic piece rattling around. The whole buying process she kept calling her boss repeatedly bragging about how we were buying the car with cash. All while blasting music. Two days go by after purchasing it and it's leaking a bunch of oil. I took it to my mechanic where he proceeds to tell me that they shouldn't have sold me the car because the engine is junk and will blow up soon then told me to call an actual mazda dealership. I called the mazda dealership and they told me there is no fixing what the issue is and i would to put $5000-$6000 into a new motor in. They sold me a car that the engine had major problems, and lied about it. Once I got off the phone with both mechanics I called back to the office that sold me the car. After telling the man who answered what happened and telling him what both mechanics said he told me I was assured the saleswoman let me known it was the motor. I said no and it was on camera of her not informing me and actually lying about it, told me they would call me back...I heard back 1 week later asking if they can just mail my title....I still have yet to receive it and can't even take it to a junk yard without the title. Valerio is a liar and he told me there was a warranty on my engine an transmission because I heard a ticking coming from my Jeep the same day I went to pick it up he assured me it was something called a lifter sticking, and that with a good oil change it will go away, and then it never did so I asked him can he have it fixed since it is under warranty however he was rude and said I need to read things before I sign them and that he by law don't have to do anything! Purchased a 2014 Infiniti cash on 7-1-20 paid 10700 Cash and have a cash receipt.. The transmission went out a couple days later while I was still under my 15 day 500 mile warranty. I contacted the dealer he said he wasn't going to pay for it .I found out that he had previously had the vehicle at Infiniti plaza and they told him that the transmission was bad 3 days prior to selling to me .he did not disclose that. I had the transmission repaired 30 days later after giving him enough time to arbitrate he chose not to .when I finally filed civil suit against him 8-13-20 in Saint Clair County he filed fraudulent paperwork with a recovery company and illegally repossessed my vehicle on 8-16-20 .my balance is paid in full. The court date is pending for September 10th 2020 Case number 20-sc-1561.St Clair County Illinois Valerio Sanders is lying staying there was a stop payment..when I paid cash.. This review is mainly for salesman/broker Thomas. I purchased a 99 Honda from him knowing the car was (a: bought at auction, (b: as-is, and (c: waiting for the title to appear from the auction house. Now, as a general guide, I normally would NOT have bought a car unless there was title-in-hand but I felt that would not be an issue in this case as Thomas and I would be doing all of our paperwork through the dealer's office he worked from as a broker. BAB didn't even mind that I could not take the vehicle for 5 days as I had no way to get from Bellville and back to Missouri with the car until the weekend. When I got back to BAB to pick up the car I was surprised to discover the title had not yet arrived. However, as I did purchase temp tags for the car, I was still prepared to take possession and wait for the title to appear. There was some kind of snafu with the temp tags (they ran out of MO tags) and BAB immediately refunded my money for the tags. A few days later, they comped me a set in consideration for not being able to do what was promised which I thought was fair. The title, though, had still not been discovered. It turns out that the dealership that had sent the car to auction had failed to properly turn the title over, lost it, and had to pay to have another issued to replace it. This sounds simple, right? But it was complicated and it took 5 weeks to finally get the title. Throughout this process, Thomas stayed in touch with me. Some weeks we spoke and texted half-a-dozen times. It was difficult for both sides of this deal as I had bought the car as a gift for my son and Thomas' reputation was unfortunately at issue due to circumstances beyond his control. I'm very happy to report that today I received the title personally from Thomas. I'm sure everyone has had a bad experience or two buying a used car, but it is not often enough you meet people like Thomas, or BAB's Valerio and his excellent assistant Annie, who will treat you fairly regardless the price of the car or the circumstances surrounding the deal, even if things are not their fault. In the future, I'd be happy to work with Thomas and BAB again. read more
