I used to love this place and went several times however I'm not a huge fan anymore. The charcuterie board was a huge win but now instead of crackers they give you bread toasted with butter cut into four squares. I mean give me some crackers, I'm paying enough. I'm not a huge fan how they are always vocalizing their woes on social media. Every business has something going on however they don't feel the need to put it out to the public for sympathy. The menu is ok and tasty but there are other places in Vernon that are better. I think they have hit a lull and need to step it up, as it used to be awesome. read more

Went here for our anniversary dinner. I had only heard about them thru facebook and a customer in my store said they never had a bad meal there. We didn't have a reservation but they accommodated us but letting us sit outside on the patio. The owner helped us out, she was super nice. The waitresses were awesome, amazing service which is rare now a days. We had the meat and cheese plate for our appy. Local meats, breads and cheeses which was awesome. I had the Rueben and Pare and goat cheese salad on the side. My husband had the veggie sliders and the popeye salad which was equally delish. How love the small business and how quaint it is. Like they have everything under control. And love that everything is local!! We have some amazing businesses in the okanagan and I'm so glad they use them. It's one of the best restaurants I've been to in awhile. read more

Not sure if it was because we were at the end of the lunch menu , and the beginning of dinner, but I have to say we were not to impressed. Wow! Wow! Wow! We ate at this little restaurant last night and LOVED it. When we arrived, live music was being played. We did find it to be much too loud and intrusive. Having a conversation was challenging. Fortunately, the musician was finished within 20 minutes of arriving. The music, itself, would have been enjoyable had the volume been turned back. It took a LONG 45 minutes for us to get our food (as we arrived really hungry), but it was worth the wait! We all had the burger, along with pear and goat cheese salad. I didn't want the bun nor cheese and 'suggested' that they throw some extra salad on the plate - and did they deliver! The burger was generous in size, flavourful, and served with excellent quality toppings. The salad had a great balance of sweet and savoury. It was so good that my husband commented that it wouldn't be acceptable for us to lick our plates. I didn't, but I sure left nothing on mine! Our daughter commented that she liked how the server wasn't irritating. She was very sweet, refilled water when necessary and asked once how the food was. Other than that, we were given space to enjoy our meal and each other's company - which we really appreciated. The burger and salad were $18.50. It's not cheap but the amount and quality of food made it worth the price. I appreciate that they try to source out local ingredients too. The only real thing I am disappointed in is that I didn't go to Midtown Bistro sooner! My meal, by far, was THE BEST meal I have EVER had in Vernon or Kelowna (and I've lived here for 13 years). It was certainly in the top 10 restaurant meals EVER! So grateful to have this gem in Vernon! How lucky are we! read more

What a terrific little place! We stopped by for a few drinks and a small nibble. The waiter who I assume is one of the owners was so nice and welcoming and very attentive. They have a good selection of drinks at good prices and have options for single or double drinks on their specialty cocktails which you don't see everywhere. We shared the spinach dip appetizer and the pulled pork sliders. Both were very good. The menu is quite small and I would have like to see a few more appetizer sort of options but overall a great stop and wonderful relaxed atmosphere. read more
