I went with my sister and some friends and although I didn't get a milkshake, I did try my friend's milkshake. The place is also very small. It has a small couch and one coffee table. They have a variety of ice cream deliciousness including ice cream sandwich, milkshakes, iced coffee and much more. They make the milkshakes using handcrafted ice cream and any combination you want. My friend got the milkshake with Nutella, Oreo and cookie palooza ice cream with whipped cream and chocolate sauce on top. It was delicious and so creamy. I've driven past it so many times wondering what it was, finally had the chance to try it after eating tacos next door with some friends and oh my god idk what the heck I was waiting for. The flavors are all homemade and fresh, you can have your ice cream any way you like with as many toppings are you want. Finally got to try Midtown Creamery the other night, and it did not disappoint! The location was within walking distance from our dinner spot, so we took a quick stroll over. Located right on NE 2nd Ave, the location is small but quaint. The interior design has a very hipster vibe. It reminds me of some of the food spots in Wynwood. We were immediately greeted upon arrival, and had a nice selection to choose from. After perusing through the menu board on the wall, we both opted for the bubble waffle cones. I chose mine with Nutella and Guava ice cream with drizzled guava sauce on top and it also came with an Abuela Maria cookie. We waited a few minutes for the waffle cones to be freshly made, and had a lovely chat with the owner. I really loved the inside ambience because it's totally chill and laid back. There is 1 large couch to sit on, as well as a small table and chairs. We soon were given our treats, and they were delicious! The ice cream was such good quality, that I actually did not have a reaction to the dairy (Ms. Lactose Intolerant here). The waffle cone was soft and very good. Well the other reviews had me and my party coming here. Of course the pics look decadent and artistic. And that's what you will get. The menu: dark, drab and confusing. It's hard to really understand what is available and if you come at night, with their dim lighting, it is even more difficult. The crazy bowls and cones look so inviting. I will say that the cinnabon waffle cone by itself was the best thing we had. The ice cream itself? Not even memorable. First, the scoops are small. It takes 2.5 of these scoops to equal just one scoop from other places. 2nd, the flavors. Between the four of us, we had 6 different flavors and the common theme? Boring would be the best word. Again, they look fantastic but the flavors, eh. Finally, the prices. Ouch, the most I think I have ever paid for ice cream. If you bring a family, be prepared to outlay some dough. I'm glad we came and ordered beautiful works of art but due to the flavors (or lack thereof) we won't be back. If you want something better in the Midtown Wynwood area then head over to Mr. Cream. They have tons of homemade desserts and ice-cream options. The place is very small but super clean. There are a few chairs to sit outside and a couple more inside . And parking is in the street .. Then owner is incredibly nice and attentive.. they have a very nice staff their , making sure the clients are satisfied. My daughter and I came here after a visit to City Cemetery. This shop is located between Wynwood and Midtown. I love small batch ice cream places. My favorite is the Greenery Creamery in Orlando and I am always on the lookout for something similar in South Florida. This is the closest I have found so far. I was lured in by their bubble waffle supreme cones but we didn't get one because they were so large. The are $11 and have several scoops of ice cream, unlimited toppings, and have things stuck in them like Pocky and lollipops. You can even get a special Halloween one. They are great for Instagram but you have to be able to eat a lot. I love ice cream but can only eat small amounts at a time. Instead I settled for their smallest cup which was perfect for me. It included two flavors and I picked guava and lychee. Toppings are included and they drizzled guava syrup on my creation. The fruit flavors were amazing. I have never had lychee before which tasted exactly like the fruit. It was more of a sorbet consistency than ice cream. My friend Roy F. would have devoured the passion fruit flavor but it's sour tangy flavor makes it an acquired taste. My daughter copied my creation. In addition to the tropical fruit flavors that evoke Miami they have traditional flavors too like cake batter, mint, and coffee. There are fewer ice cream choices than a chain store but they are also more flavorful. Toppings include sprinkles, gummy bears, cereal, cookies, and syrups. Other creations they offer include nutella filled cones, cinnabun waffle sundae, Maria cookie trio, milkshakes, wet dream which is ice cream in cappuccino, giant ice cream sandwiches, brownie sundae, and coffee. Like all of Miami parking is kind of a pain. You either have to pay through the parking app on the street or park in the lot on the side of the building that threatens towing above every spot. The staff here was super friendly and allowed us as many tasting as we wanted. They actually encouraged us to try them all. Walked in with my elderly dad and was immediately asked for a mask. I explained that we are medically exempt from wearing one (as declared by a physician). The staff started laughing and loudly explained "Oh my god, forreal yo?!" Right before telling us to step out. The county mandate which is no longer in effect allowed for medical condition exemption but this place not only does not care and discriminates against those who literally can't wear one but it also mocks them. Definitely never giving my money to this establishment. Disappointing and disgusting.
