The care is…read moreoverly aggressive, office experience is terrible they are always overcrowded & treat you like a number rather than a person. They will push the idea of dental surgery under anesthesia & crowns on almost every child that enters the doors, even if that type of treatment is unnecessary. Two of my children who were treated here were left with extremely irritated gums weeks following the appointments, multiple falling out caps & no regard for fixing them. My children are in more pain since visiting this dentist than before beginning their treatment plan. I am extremely displeased with the service Dr. Windley (one of the surgeons) provides, she is especially disregarding & aggressive in her care. I will never again allow my children to step foot into any of these offices.

I think I was more nervous than the kids to try out a new dentist after moving here, but in the end, I had nothing to worry about. First, from a special needs prospective, the staff here can't be beat. There were two technicians working on my daughter and they did an amazing job of putting her at ease while doing the cleaning. Cleaning can be difficult and traumatic for someone who cannot easily open their mouth, lean in this way, tell when it hurts, etc. I was able to sit with her legs in my lap on the chair, and she was relaxed and did not express discomfort at any point. I really appreciated the time and care they gave to my daughter. For my other two, this was the little guy's first appointment, and my middle's first experience with cavities! Again, both instances were far better than expected. The staff is very friendly and patient, which is refreshing when a lot of their day can be accompanied by screaming children. I've never seen anyone "frazzled' or impatient, and they are incredibly receptive to discomfort or fear. The waiting room is great, and the best part--they give tokens to take to the prize machines after the cleaning! My middle child still talks about how fun that is. If I had to offer a criticism (always leave room for improvement, right?) the bar stools in the private rooms are not super comfortable. They have great comfy benches and magazines in the general cleaning area. I cannot recommend Dr. Chandak and the staff at Brooks & Chandak enough. Dr. Chandak went out of her way to explain how everyone's cleaning habits and growth were progressing, and what we could do at home to improve their dental health. Incredibly kind and professional.

They over diagnose and pad the treatment plan with items not discussed. Nitrous oxide, type of crown material, sealants, etc. Stay away.

Carolina Pediatric Dentistry refused to treat my granddaughter today after years of loyal visits…read more The staff has always accommodated the need to remain with the girls during cleanings due to medically managed anxiety, yet today the coordinator canceled the appointment on the spot and handed us a dismissal letter, stating that the girls are older now and implying they should be over their anxiety. This action contradicts the practice's stated commitment to children with special needs and shows disregard for long-standing patients. Completely unacceptable. Update: In searching for a new pediatric dentist, I have discovered that it is far from common to bar parents or guardians from staying with their children during treatment. Many practices, Raleigh Pediatric Dentistry for example, intentionally include seating in their treatment bays so family members can remain present. This raises a troubling question: why is Carolina Pediatric Dentistry so determined to keep parents/guardians out? What are they trying to hide?
