Cool decoration like back in the 50's - 60's. The food was ok. A little bit greasy maybe. The fried mashed potatoes were a nice discovery. It took a little long to get our food since we arrived at rush hour. Nice waitress. read more

Disappointed - we had a visitor from Europe who who were excited to take out a good ol Canadian breakfast. We walked in and there about 10am was one family ahead of us, and about 3 full tables (of 4) inside. The owner muttered grumpily, where are all these people coming from? Then barked its a 40 minute wait! It felt as though we were an inconvenience to him. We turned around and left. We are not impatient people and would have waited for his little rush to be caught up, but seemed as though this man didn't want any customers in his establishment. We left feeling unwelcomed and went elsewhere. Not the first time i felt this way here. It's unfortunate bc the atmosphere and food is good, it's super close and walking distance from our home. Near-perfect little diner. Nothing chain-resto about it despite early-60's theme attempt (b&w tile, old photos & Pepsi signs). Looks rather dumpy outside, washrooms could use a tuneup, but an excellent breakfast, perfectly cooked eggs, hot sauce offered w/o asking. Staff look more like truckers (beards and ball caps) but nice and perfect service. I shall return read more

This place is exactly what we were looking for when we went for a late Sunday breakfast. The service was fast, the food was exemplary and the price was right. The building and decor are a little worn, but not a major detractor. Plus free 50th anniversary birthday cake! Very family oriented. Seems like it has many longtime "regulars". read more

It's a ok place but the meat is very greasy and the eggs are bad and you can only get free refills on coffee and you can't get pop during brackfast. read more

Absolutely the best diner ever!!!!!!! I have been all around the world and nothing is even close to the Midway. Went there for my first time with Geordie (regular customer) and was welcomed with a steaming fresh cup of coffee. The breakfast was scrumptious and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. Defo a place to visit for a great meal and welcoming atmosphere. Tell them Donny sent you........;o) I am bringing the family here for weekend eats. read more
