Got first COVID shot from Sammy- all good however the folks here don't use air conditioning in the public area despite patrons having to sit there either waiting for their shot or after getting their shot. I asked if the system was working and was given a BS answer about more sun coming in the front window..... and then I stopped listening. If I go back here for my second, I'll call first to have them crank up the air. I'm pretty sure that they can afford the extra electricity because all shots are being billed to insurance. read more

When my dad and his physically disabled wife decided to make their home in Florida, they had no idea that the more addictive narcotics legitimately prescribed by her doctors would be such a hassle to get filled from ANY of the big named drugstores on almost every corner in this town. Apparently, a minuscule number of patients have overdosed themselves, died, and lawsuits against prescribing doctors and pharmacies that filled these prescriptions were filed and won on behalf of the special nimrods not able to follow their doctors orders or read directions on a bottle. I can see the side of large drug store chains no longer willing to take on that kind of liability but also think it is wrong they are placing a value on human suffering. Alas, that is the way it is here. Dad, at his wits end, went over to Midway Pharmacy, explained his problem, and the pharmacist left his post to consult with them both. He assured them the big chains could fill the scripts they were just unwilling to take the time to do the rather extensive consultations required to protect or limit their liability. He spoke with my step mother at length, deemed her worthy, and they have had no problems getting her scripts filled. Now! When my dad was getting discharged from the hospital, I was given some prescriptions to get filled for him. Naturally, I took them to Midway. Picking them up 20 minutes later, the pharmacist came over to ask how his surgery had went and was he with me? How often have YOU been on a different coast and had the pharmacist inquire after a loved ones health?! He said, with a big smile, "Let him know we are thinking of him and that he looks forward to kicking him in the shin very soon!" Kate was also super helpful when I called with several questions on stocked items and even went to the trouble to put all my requests aside for easier pickup. Nothing but good things to say about Midway Pharmacy- thank you for caring about your customers and doing your duty in putting them first. read more

I have been using this pharmacy for 3 1/2 years and have been very pleased with the customer service. I originally came here because I was seeking a pharmacy that does compounding (which they do here). They have been very professional and have gone above and beyond my expectations on a few occasions. Jesse, the compounding pharmacist, regularly calls to remind me when it is time for my prescriptions to be renewed. They have called doctors' offices on more than one occasion to get a prescription updated or to straighten out an error made by the doctor or doctor's staff. Once, when they were out of an over-the-counter supplement that I take, they provided me with a comparable product at the same price (which was discounted below the price for that particular brand). I highly recommend this pharmacy. I only wish I could find doctors in the area that I like as well. read more

I agree completely with everything Jacqueline G. said about this pharmacy. I too have been going there for at least three years. I was looking for a compounding pharmacy and Jesse has been wonderful. I appreciate her calling to check on my refills. They take time to chat and ask about what's going on in your life. They are very kind, professional and go the extra mile if there is an issue with a prescription. It's like a small town pharmacy that cares about you as a person and not just another prescription to fill. Now that their building is being torn down for the new gas station, I'll be happy to follow them to their new location at Harbor and 41. I highly recommend them to everyone! read more

The customer service was great. The prescriptions I had them fill weren't time sensitive so the previous review didn't apply to my experience. They are cheaper than Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, and Publix. They don't accept Medicaid and don't offer any free antibiotics so somethings do require these bigger chain pharmacies. read more

Prices are good but service leaves a lot to be desired. They misplace prescriptions that are called in and don't fill prescriptions when they say they'll fill them. They are very discourteous and rude. We appreciate the lower pricing but they need to work on job performance and customer service. read more

Not happy, over charged me on my prescriptions above what my insurance paid. I paid over $130 for mine and my husbands specific generic brand prescriptions. Now we go to a different pharmacy and I pay $3.31 for mine and $2.00 for my husbands same specific generic brand prescriptions. I was told this is considered fraud by another pharmacy. I have regular insurance my husband has Medicare. I will be reporting this to Medicare and Florida Blue Coss. Does anyone find it odd he is no longer a "Good Neighbor Pharmacy"which is a franchise. read more

The pharmacist at this facility is one of the most rude and condescending people I have ever dealt with in any business!! My brother has used them for years and recently was treated at a Pain Management clinic in Pt Charlotte. After reviewing his MRI and X-rays the Doctor was shocked that my brother could even walk at all! After discussing treatment options the Doctor prescribed pain medication so that at least he can continue to work until his health insurance takes effect in January. My brother brought his prescription from the Doctor to Midway Pharmacy where he has had prescriptions filled for years and the red-headed female pharmacist treated him like a "tweeker" looking for a fix!! Her attitude and mannerisms towards an established customer were rude and appalling! There are so many options for Pharmacy Services and I have encouraged my brother not to deal with this arrogant and self-righteous pharmacist! The title of Pharmacist is not a Doctor and the of Doctor's are not as arrogant as this woman was to my brother! At least a Doctor would deserve to be arrogant with regards to their achievements! read more

The staff is helpful and fast! They have many cheaper generics than going to other pharmacies.

I would first like to say this is not about all the employees it is only about the man who I assume is the owner, an older gentleman with glasses.I have been having my prescriptions filled here for about a year except for my pain medication which they informed me in the beginning they were not taking no pain medication customers(fine I would jut go to walgreens) after the new year with my updated health insurance,I am on medicare and disabled one of my scripts would cost from originally being no more than $5 dollars and change to $45.I explained that I couldn't afford 45 a month and that I could actually get it cheaper at a number of local pharmacies and said thanks but I will get it filled somewhere else ,the pharmacist came over to me and ask if I would be willing to pay $15 because they wanted my business and they would be able to give it to me for that amount even tough she said it would still show 45 on the receipt and if someone else was working when I came in in the future just let them know to look at my file and it will show to give it to me for 15.Today I went in to get my monthly prescriptions and when the gentleman rang them up he said it would be $71 total , 26 for my pain meds and $45 for the other, when I told him what I am suppose to pay, he went over to the computer and came back saying he will let me have it this time for the 15 but for now on it is 45 ,I said ok I will just have to get that filled somewhere else, he got upset and told me if I did that I would not be able to get my pain medications there any longer.He told me that I was no longer able to get my medications there since I questioned him on how he could try to extort from me$45 instead of $15 by withholding my pain medication! read more
