This morning, on my way to work, the brakes in my truck went out. After safely getting it to Chinatown my stress level began to rise with thoughts of how I was going to get it safely back home after work. I live in Homewood 45 minutes away and I was going to need a tow at the end of the day. Well I was much relieved to find this company Midway Towing here on Yelp. First they responded to my inquiry right away and let me know they were there for me. I set a time of 5pm to meet for the tow and their truck was there 15 min early. Next I met one of the most polite and reassuring individuals I have spoken with in a long time. His name is Edward and he let me know my truck would be ok. He had it loaded in minutes and we were on the way home. On the way he was pleasent to talk to and was careful in traffic, especially considering it was rush hour. He put my truck safely in the driveway, provided a receipt, and thanked me for the business. He even thanked me for my service in the Air Force. I was involved in a car accident in downtown Chicago; I live in southeastern Wisconsin. I called roadside assistance, and they contacted 2 towing companies to tow me from Chicago, 147 miles north, to my home dealership. Neither showed up. They then contacted Midway One Towing and Recovery. They agreed to tow my car. When the owner arrived, I was immediately put me at ease. The accident was not a good experience, and I was very concerned about getting home with my car. The owner towed my car, and me, home to my dealership. He was so professional and extremely nice. We had a great conversation! What started as a horrible day turned out to be awesome! I am so grateful to Midway! Being a single female, alone in a big city, can be rather upsetting. The professionalism and just plain "good people" from Midway made my experience a good one! You can trust them and know that you are not going to be taken advantage of and that you will get where you need to go! I would recommend this company to anyone needing help with their car! I needed a jump for my car in my garage at home. Midway sent someone out and he was courteous and efficient. The only snag was he was slightly late due to bad road conditions. However, he called to warn me he was running late, which was the responsible thing to do. He was very apologetic, even though I understood and wasn't upset.
