Ok, I have used them several times in the past without issue. They've been great until now. But I just recently tried to order some pistol magazines, and this is where it all fell apart. My state limits handgun capacity to 15 rounds. I needed a few mags and Midway was the first place that came to mind. Tried to order state-legal mags and they wouldn't allow it. I proceeded to live chat, and even linked them the actual state government legislation that clearly states the 15 round capacity limit. The rep then tried to place an order on his end for my zipcode. Since their info is wrong, of course he was unable to. "Restricted" he said. I pointed out the state legislation and even highlighted the specific text. "Our legal team prefers to er on the side of caution". At that point, the conversation was pretty much over. I knew it was going nowhere. Went to Brownell's and ordered 4x of the magazines in question without issue. I guess this is goodbye, Midway. And I won't look back. read more

I have been a loyal MidwayUSA customer for many years and have spent thousands of dollars with the company. In the past, I considered Midway to be one of the premier retailers in the shooting industry, and one of the biggest reasons was its outstanding shipping speed and order fulfillment. Unfortunately, that has changed. Over the last couple of years, I have noticed a steady decline in shipping performance. My most recent experience simply confirmed what I had already been observing. I recently ordered a Bix'n Andy TacSport X Trigger and paid an additional $8 for upgraded UPS Ground shipping, expecting a meaningful improvement in delivery speed. The order shipped on June 7, 2026, and UPS tracking has consistently shown delivery on June 13, 2026--a six-day transit time. As a customer in Georgia who has received countless Midway shipments from Missouri over the years, I can say this is far slower than the service that originally earned my loyalty. I contacted customer service and requested a refund of the upgraded shipping charge because paying extra provided no apparent benefit. My request was denied, with the explanation that only Next Day Air and Two-Day Air services have guaranteed delivery times. The issue is not the $8. The issue is that customers are encouraged to pay extra for upgraded shipping with the reasonable expectation that it will result in noticeably faster delivery. In my experience, that expectation was not met. After raising my concerns, a $10 gift certificate appeared in my account without any communication or explanation. While I appreciate the gesture, it does not address the underlying problem or change my opinion that Midway's shipping performance has declined compared with the level of service it once provided. As someone who has spent thousands of dollars with MidwayUSA over many years, this review is disappointing to write. The company built its reputation on outstanding customer service and rapid shipping, but I no longer believe that reputation reflects my recent experiences. Today there are many competitors with comparable pricing and product selection, and the shipping advantage that once set Midway apart appears to have largely disappeared. I hope Midway takes these concerns seriously and restores the level of service that made it an industry leader. I have been a customer for 10 years. I placed an order for 8 crank baits. They shipped 4 of the baits I ordered and paid the $8.00 shipping. They backorder the other 8 ceankbaits. Without any notification or verification that I still wanted the other 8 crank baits 4 weeks later, they shipped them and charged me an additional $8.00 shipping. So for one order, they charged me $16.00 for shipping 4 weeks apart because they did t have what I needed in stock and without confirmation. I called and asked that they cancel, or at least give me a credit for the shipping, which was way over what it cost to ship 4 crank baits, and they said there was nothing they could do. On their Main page, they advertise how long you have been a customer, 10 years, then say sorry, we can't help you. I am no longer a customer. Greedy people. read more

We bought a Caldwell Target Camera in February 2026 from Midway thru Amazon. Despite numerous attempts over 2 months to get it connected to the App on our phone, it would not connect. Finally called Caldwell and they informed us that the Target Camera will not work with the updates on the Android phones and we needed to send it back to Midway. Bottom line, Midway said they would take the DEFECTIVE Target Camera back but only if we had the original shipping box. Who keeps boxes months later? So, with the knowledge that we did not have the box, Midway's position to a $300 Target Camera was ....oh well, so sad too bad; call Caldwell and tell them your problem. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MIDWAY USA. The Potterfields and their CEO, Fleming, should be ashamed of themselves. I tried to speak to a supervisor and they gave me a hard time. They wanted to know my first and last name, address, zip code, to see if I was a customer or not. I ask do I need to be a customer just to talk to a supervisor? and I also had to have a reason of why I need to speak to a supervisor. It was awful. I am a customer. I tried to bye Lock Tight and was ask to download a class 1 FFL or Drivers License to be able to ship to California. Anything gun related including gunsmiths tools, or parts they must have ether An FFL or DL. I ask why not the same for paper targets, answer was no. MIDWAY USA said that as off January 2026 California regulated that all gun related products must download a valid FFL and or DL to be ship to California. Only Midwest USA. Well You lost 4 Customers in California. Your people are rude, and I will not download my FFL or DL for lock tight. I purchased products with from MidwayUSA on 12/14/25 and they charged me for additional shipping insurance through a company named Extend and shipped the single package through UPS. I don't recall actually selecting this additional insurance but it appeared on the order details. UPS reported package delivered on 12/18/25 at 7:40pm yet no package was delivered and no proof of delivery photo was provided (unusual) 12/19/25 I reported undelivered package to UPS and contacted MidwayUSA via email as well and Midway responded via email telling me to file a claim with Extend I attempted to file a claim with Extend on 12/19/25 and was denied stating I needed to wait 5 days after delivery date to file 12/24/25 I attempted to file a claim and was denied stating I would need to cancel the claim with UPS before they could process the claim. No disclosures about this was provided during the claim process. I finally was able to cancel the UPS claim on 1/2/26 and attempted to file the claim with Extend once again on 1/3/26 only to be told that they require a police report to be filed as they "confirmed" delivery on 12/18/25 and I needed to file a stolen property police report. Filing a stolen property police report is illegal when I know for certain it wasn't stolen yet they insist it is their policy and cannot be waived. MidwayUSA customer service staff yielded no help whatsoever stating I needed to resolve this with Extend. This morning, 1/4/26, I filed a dispute with my credit card company and began writing this complaint. MidwayUSA's neglect and casual avoidance in helping to resolve this issue is unacceptable for any business. ZERO response from upper management including Larry Potterfield and a couple of other executives and ZERO offers to escalate and resolve my concerns are a stark departure from the majority of merchants I work with. As an example, and this has happened several times, I placed one order with MidwayUSA and the next day I placed a highly similar order with a company from South Carolina. Orders to Alaska. The competitor charged HALF what MidwayUSA charged for shipping and I received the items promptly. MidwayUSA sent my items "USPS Ground Advantage" which is nothing more than code for Parcel Post. I used to work in shipping. MidwayUSA will quote published rates to customers and charge accordingly to those... EXCEPT every business I know that has any kind of footprint has Contract rates with USPS, FedEx, or UPS which are significantly reduced. Purchased Dillon Precision Case feeder for 9mm. The unit would not power on. Customer service while polite, was less than helpful. I was told that I needed to return all the parts and components and would be sent a replacement unit. This would require disassembly of major components of the RL 1100 including the powder hopper along with brackets and hardware. I was denied being able to send back the "bowl" with the power unit attached, thus keeping everything else in place. Dillon Manufacturing is sending me the micro switch and charging me $5.00 for shipping. Dillon is treating this as a warranty issue with parts being sent out today. while they have a good selection of target loads, at reasonable prices, the shipped me 4 cases of double AA target loads with FedEx, dropped the cases in the original boxes soaked under heavy rain without even putting them in plastic bags, got soaked and individual boxes are soaked and had the speed them in the Gustave to dry hoping the shells are not affected. when I contacted costumer service all I got was sorry, mistakes happen! I emailed their customer service department, as there was over a three hour wait both times I called their customer service department via phone. I was emailed back two days later that they could not discuss this order via email, and to call their customer service department for help. All this over a $20 item. When I placed the order, I received an email stating that part of my order would now be on backorder. The backorder shipped the next day, and I was charged for shipping for the second order.
