Customer service has been less than ZERO! Will not return calls not matter who you leave a message…read morewith. The phone is answered by an message saying that they are on the lines, busy with a customer or you have reached them after hours. I know none of this is true. I have left over 10 messages and NOTHING in return. NOTHING!

This company gets one star for three reasons: (1) I can't do any lower; (2) one saleswoman in the…read moreoffice (not the main one and not the owner's daughter); (3) the site manager. The main salesperson was quick to be rude and snippy. The owner is rude and condescending. Peters advertised a 4-6 month timeframe for a 1400 sf home. It took 10 months, and they offered no concessions. They provided no construction clean up - I found empty pop bottles, styrofoam cups, plastic lids, chunks of concrete that weigh over 20 pounds (one piece of concrete was so large, the worker couldn't lift it, so he broke it up and left it there for me to clean up), nails and other small construction debris all over my property. The site engineer came to my home and approved my landscaper's plans in person, but then the company provided a written letter that revoked the approval with no explanation. I had to personally contact the electrical contractor several times because the ethernet cables I paid to have installed were not completely wired. I think I paid $100 per line for installation ($600 total), but I had no end caps/plugs or face plates, just some blue wire with cut ends sticking out of the holes in the walls and then gathered in the basement near where the cable enters the home. I tried to wire the caps and plugs myself, but ethernet wires are more complicated than telephone wires. Less than one year after my home was built, the concrete driveway, sidewalks, and garage floor failed. It took four months for them to come to my home to assess it, and they never even looked inside the garage. Three months later (7 months after I started complaining), they blamed the concrete damage on the winter and refused to replace it. I had to have a structural engineer and an attorney intervene on my behalf in order for them to agree to replace the outdoor concrete and repair the garage floor - but how can you repair a concrete floor that has damage to more than 20% of the surface? I do love my house, my neighborhood is okay, and the HOA is non-existent (still run by Peters). I'm just glad I purchased and built before the housing market picked back up. Otherwise, I don't think building with this company is worth the hassles I've had to deal with. If you're thinking of using this company, drive through several of their neighborhoods and really look at the new homes their building. Try to talk to the newer home owners if you can. Construction is an expensive and stressful ordeal, and you should work with a company who hires polite, personable people with enough integrity and moral character to stand behind their work.
