The Dentist was so rude to me nd my kids when dentist told me the issues and treatment my son needed I asked a question and he immediately got rude with me and told me he would not finish my appointment with my son it was so bad I called the police and explain to the officers what had happened and they basically told me there was no cameras nothing they can do but they did talk to him nd advice me to report him and put a review on what had happened. Please do not go into this office. Dr Salamanca is very unprofessional. I went to him for a crown on my molar, which he made too big. Too fit it he shaved the tooth in front causing me to have a root canal in that tooth. When they removed the bad fitting crown, it had fractured my tooth. I have now had to have to the tooth pulled and spending thousands of dollars to get an implant. I tried to speak to him but he got hostile and told me to get a lawyer. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Salamah for years now, initially I came to him for a second opinion because the other Dentist advised I needed to pull more teeth for braces, however Dr. Salamah's expertise and experience in dentistry proved that notion wrong. Dr. Salamah not only fixed my teeth but also broaden my smile. I have learned great hygiene with his practices. I am so happy I decided to get a second opinion. Stay away from this place! This is not a dentist, he is a quack! He damaged other teeth, causing me to have to come back and have additional work done. Because of his botched work, he placed a flat filling on the back of my tooth because I was squirming because he had his fist in my mouth. When I complained about it to his partner, he didn't bother to remove the filling and redo it but tried to make the surface like an actual tooth and it was an epic fail. To say he lacks professionalism is an understatement. This man does NOT like his job and I believe is just doing it because it's all he knows. He is waiting until he can retire. I've never walked out of a doctor or dentist's office mid-exam, but after over 2 1/2 hrs of sitting in the chair with a numb mouth, enough was enough. I came 15 minutes early to register, and they still didn't see me until 20 minutes after my 10 am appt. There was ONE doctor cycling 6 other patients at the SAME time, who were not in separate rooms, but more like a salon with cubicle dividers between us. He completely numbed my entire mouth and gave me 10-12 Novocain shots when I came for a cleaning and minor fillings. He didn't wait long enough for the numbing cream to numb my gums, so I felt EVERY shot he gave. When I finally told the doctor I didn't feel comfortable, and that I wasn't the focus of my appointment, he BLAMED ME for booking a Saturday appointment, when I originally booked a weekday appointment in Janurary, but the staff talked me into the wknd appointment because 'they had an opening at 10am'. Hard to understand him, but he basically said 'well it's your money, do what you want. I'm still going to charge your insurance for what I did so far.' read more

Awfully practice for a health professional. A very rude dentist with a lack of basic hygiene skills ( laid dental instruments on a computer keyboard before starting working) and ramp up with defensive marks and threaten me not to continue when pointed out that bad an unhealthy action. It was the first and last visit and glad that happened because it is health risk for any patience that it is not observing where the instruments are placed and I am wondering how other equipment is kept sterile and free of contaminants. I wish a research more before making an appointment. I would not be surprise that his license gets revoked. read more

By far the worst dentist I've ever been to. Rude, discourteous staff, a barely understandable dentist, and a rush to force you into unnecessary, overpriced work. While trying to get my broken molar fixed, the dentist could not bring himself to discuss much more than the veneers he felt I needed on my front teeth. When I asked how this would help my broken tooth, he said it wouldn't, but that I should really consider getting it done. When I told him I'd just go elsewhere and thanks for wasting two hours of my time (even though I had an appointment, it took two hours after I got there before I was seen), he got very concerned, as my procedure was going to bring him big bucks, and finally got to work. Truly, I will not be going back. The dentist caused unnecessary pain, and clearly cares only about money, not the patients' well being. read more

We have been going to this dentist past several years. My wife had veneers/implants and Kids braces etc . Despite the pain and suffering from all these dental procedures over the years, we are truly satisfied with the end results. People who often visit a dentist would understand that some dental procedures are painful regardless which dentist you to on this plant. However, without going into specific detail, I would like to say that they provide exceptional service, no gimmicks, and the cost is reasonable too. The staff is very friendly and only think I don't like about this place is the plastic plants, I hope they replace with real ones. In short, one of the best dentists in our area and I would definitely recommend this place. People with a history of dental issues would definitely appreciate the straightforward discussion with the doctor and would find this place a perfect fit for them. read more

OFFICE @ 4142/44 W. 63RD ST Chicago. I don't write reviews just because. This is my 2nd. But I think people should know what they are getting into especially when it comes to ANYTHING medical. I also want to point out just because I have a bad experience somewhere I don't run to post negative reviews. Could be a one time thing. Or, like reading reviews for the Aurora office, a pattern. I made a appointment and told the lady what issues I have and pain in 2 teeth. When I was put into the seat I told the lady who took the x rays. So I sit in the chair for about 30 min before the Dr comes. All the time waiting I wasn't checked on again but that is fine, no big deal but tooth is hurting. Right next to me I can hear the Dr talking to a patient about bridges and whatever else. No work going on just more like a sales thing. I'd hope he would have someone else who could do that but fine, I'm just hoping he doesn't want to rush me because he's trying to make a sale. So he comes over and says sorry he was talking to the patient about whatever (couldn't hear). I know he was talking, u can hear everything. So I tell him everything wrong and he looks at all my teeth telling the assistant this/that. As he's looking he says I need a root canal and it's not covered and do i want to fix it. I say yes, maybe. I can't have a conversation with tools still in my mouth. So he finished the looking and is behind me talking to the assistant. I want to ask 2 questions but wait until they are done talking since I don't want to be rude and interrupt. They finish and he is gone. The girl sits down and is gonna prep me for the root canal. Now 1 would think you would first go over price. Not just jump in especially since the Dr didn't explain anything at all. I ask the girl about my questions. She gotta ask the Dr. She asks him (again I can hear everything) just not as I put it and his response to her very rude is "if he wants it do it .If not dont." I let that go, and ask her the second question and ask what about the second tooth that is hurting. Skip the root canal. I want the more painful one done. Again she gotta ask the Dr. I wait. Then after a couple minutes because I don't hear him being asked I decide to leave the chair. I go up front and ask if I gotta sign anything because I'm done here. Rude and too much back and forth for each question. They ask me to go back to the chair. No way! Listen to the people. The reviews I read about Aurora are the exact same thing I witnessed. Rude. Only interested in extra cash. Given price of 1,200 for a root canal (1) need 2. Discount and it's 830. I know other places are much less. Well 200/300 less. That's not the issue. The 2 girls were good. Especially the one doing x rays. But the dentist is horrible. Never sat in chair unattended for almost 30 min. read more

I have HMO dental insurance. I was referred to this place after my previous (they were wonderful) dentist dropped our insurance. I took my 2 children for their check-ups. This was our first time there. I saw the website and thought they looked like a nice place. In the span of 15 minutes they saw my kids, x-rayed them, cleaned their teeth and kicked us out. The hygienist did not use gloves and literally slapped the fluoride treatment on the front of their teeth as we were being told to go. What a joke! The dentist was rude and ignorant. One of my children had a cavity and they told us to go somewhere else to have it filled, then gave us a list of dentists in Chicago! From the receptionist area to the dentist..this place was a joke. I would recommend NO ONE GO THERE!! I'm sure that if we were PPO, they wouldn't have treated us like trash. I was shocked and appalled and plan to tell EVERYONE about my horrid experience!
