Dr. Cheung is the "main guy" there (having succeeded the original owner) and has proven himself to be dependable, professional and truly concerned with helping all of his patients. We have also had experience with his associates, Dr. Rafikova and Dr. Regan. These are caring, friendly, professional people who concern themselves with not only being able to do top-notch dental work, but with putting the patient at ease. Example: last week I broke an old crown. They got me in the chair and fixed up with a new crown that afternoon! Maybe I got lucky, but they did it and the crown is great. The professionalism runs through the entire crew as well: hygienists and office staff as well. I never met the janitor, but I'm sure he (or she) is professional also! Seriously, they are all helping me meet my goal of keeping my teeth healthy for my entire life. I can highly recommend Dr.Cheung and his associates with confidence. No other dentist would touch my daughters tooth because they said she needs to be put to sleep because she won't allow them to touch her( these were dentists that specialize with scared kids). Surgery was not an option because it was too costly. Her filling was coming out and it had to be taken care of and we needed a new dentist. A friend of mine referred this dentist to me and from the initial consultation I knew that he was special. We were in the waiting room and I had extreme anxiety because this tooth had to be fixed (she wasn't really eating because eating hurt). The dentist came out and introduced himself and played tic tac toe with Peyton (my daughter) for about 5 minutes and asking her and I questions. She was comfortable by that time. We went into the chair and he took some x rays and he gave me my options. The option I chose for her was to pull it because it was quicker than a root canal. He was willing to do it right then but I decided to schedule for 3 days later. I felt a sense of relief. On Friday we came back and they ran to each other for a hug (it was adorable). He explained everything that was about to happen he explained everything to her as he did it. I honestly thought it wouldn't work because he even explained the needle to her but somehow she still felt calm with him. If you know my daughter she is sassy and somewhat bossy and if she doesn't want something she down right won't do it. Every thing he did was explained to her but he explained why it needed to be done and the benefit of everything he did. He pulled the tooth in less than 30 seconds and it was done. She cried a little just because she was surprised but gave him a hug after. He gave her a toy. The price was reasonable ( I didn't have insurance due to a recent layoff). I will ALWAYS come back to this dentist and tell anyone to come here. He is not a pediatric dentist but he was gentler than any pediatric dentist I had been to. The pictures attached to this review, the dentist wasn't aware I was taking them. I sent them to my husband to let him know how awesome the dentist was. He is genuine and didn't do anything for show.
