Don't waste your time. Dr. Darling saw me ahead of time (great). Had me remove my shirt for a full-body exam. She didn't even bother with an exam; just sprayed a few spots on face, ear and forehead; then said "see you in 6 months" and was on her way. She spent less than 2 minutes with me, instead talked with her assistants during the session. She did not even ask if I had any concerns (which I did). Going back to my previous dermatologist. No more Midwest Dermatology for me. read more

I beg you all to NOT go to this dermatologist. I went in for a regular checkup and ended up having a $200+ bill on my account. The office made no means of contacting me after I obviously never got their mail - could have shot me an email, phone call or anything. I ended up finding out this balance was on my account (2 years later) when I just tried to book another appointment - they claimed I had surgery last time I went in. I ended up finding out they classify an untrained person digging on your skin, surgery. The Dr was not even in the room when one of the females in the office was showing another how remove "Milia" - a tiny dot on my face that I was hoping the Dr would look at. She actually ended up making the situation worse & I even recall her laughing and verbally stating how hard it is to really get it right. I now have scars on my face from this visit and a $200+ bill on my account because of 2 unprofessional females digging around on my face, claiming it was surgery. I wish I could give this place a zero star rating - I read these reviews before I came here & still didn't take their advice. Save yourself the time & unprofessionalism by avoiding this clinic. read more

The Dr is nice but the most expensive. her staff Carla very unhelpful. Even if you have been in recently if you need a prescription you have to make another appointment (money grab) for anything. Again the Dr is nice but there are 100's of nice Drs. I do not recommend read more

I have worked in Dermatology for 26 years . When I quit I had to go and find a Dermatologist. I chose Dr Darling and an so happy with her. She takes her time and is always attentive to all my needs. From someone who knows what to look for in a dermatologist I highly recommend her. read more

Midwest Dermatology Clinic P.C. Is a horrible place and I would definitely not recommend the Papillion clinic even if it was the only dermatology clinic available in the world!! I took my grandmother in today for her appointment to see that their elevator is not working and their office is on the second floor. It took my grandmother 10 minutes to go up these stairs because she has COPD. My poor grandmother was gasping for air. I asked them why didn't, they communicate about the elevator before hand. They said they have been having issues with the elevator for 6 weeks now. When I made the appointment for her 5 weeks ago on 12/27/2023, they never mentioned anything about the elevator and if I would like to book an appointment at another location. They also never sent any communication prior to the dr's appointment and seeing if we like to reschedule. The front desk lady said they sent out an automated call to advise of the issue but my grandma don't answer unknown numbers and there was no voicemail at all. Then the supervisor I spoke to after the fact said they sent out a text. Which we never received because I check my grandmother's phone everyday. (Weird how the front desk lady and the supervisor said they had different ways of communicating) So I was upset about the fact that there was no communication and no accountability on their behalf. I asked to speak with a supervisor to voice my grandmother's inconvenience and Coleen took no accountability and just said that they sent out a text and did communicate and that I can't be rude to her staff. When I was never rude, I never raised my voice or cussed or anything. All I told the dr was to not speak to me please and just speak to my grandmother because I was upset with them. Which in my opinion was being nice because I rather not say anything if it's not going to be nice. I told her I was not rude to them and she basically wanted to argue with me saying that's not what her staff said. My point was not getting no where with her. So here I am letting everyone know how horrible, rude, inconsiderate these people are. Pls share guys because I tried to keep it internal and just speak with management but they are no better. I wish I could give zero stars. The doctor come in the office for 30 seconds and gave me a prescription that I had used before and did not work worth a damn. He didn't care to hear what I had to say and then turn around and laughed and said that's it because your insurance probably won't pay for nothing else. My insurance has never denied me anything for the treatments I had received in the past no matter the price. he wasn't willing to listen he only cared about what he thought I could afford. Glad I came in there wearing my works bibs. What a condescending prick. He was literally in the office for 90 seconds and made me feel completely worthless. read more

Dr. Melissa, Darling: Least knowledgeable doctor that I've ever had the displeasure of encountering. She has very little imput regarding biopsies that are not returned to her as an elementary explanation. After initial biopsies returned as unspecific, due to underlying scar tissue, she blamed me by saying that I was itching / picking at the lesion areas - which in her opinion created the lesions, and henceforth scarred the area (although none of this was true). She did no follow up biopsies, although there were many other areas affected by these lesions. Months later, my PCM deemed that biopsies should be redone, and the results were a bit over her head, in terms of derma-pathology, and suggested I return to Dr. Darling for a better Explanation of the results. Instead, Dr. Darling was rude and near hostile in questioning why I had returned for an explanation if "didn't trust her the first time" - even though I had encountered now countless more lesions, with worsening symptoms. At one point in the very distasteful encounter, I had simply suggested that UNMC's Neurology department had indications of possible 'motor neuron disease' and that these results may help them indicate what and where was causing my chronic inflammation (diagnosed by 2nd opinion biopsies) and the skin lesions. She then stated "I'm sure you have googled it." and rolled her eyes. ^this comes from the same Dr. that didn't know who / what the NCBI was, yet attempted belittling a patient on a countless base of googling symptoms. Perhaps, Dr. Darling, you should spend more time on the google and you may not become so reactive to your patients concerns & questions which you have no answer for. :( read more

Would not recommend. The doctor was in and out so fast, she didn't take the time to explain the the procedure, or follow up care. The nurse tried her best to answer questions, but we left unsure of what just happened and what we should do next. We waited an hour for the appointment but it lasted less than 10 minutes. I've never been so frustrated with a physician in my entire life. I came in to see John R Luckasen for 2 years and some change about a rash that had appeared on my back and feet. He comes in for 3 minutes tops each visit, I told him I thought it was an allergic reaction. (I AM NOT A PHYSICAN) so he says yeah you're allergic to your work boots stop wearing them gives me a shot of cortisone and sends me home with ointment and steroids. Yes those controlled it and made it tolerable for everyday activities. I would go back 4 or 5 more times looking for answers from an "expert" and from the 2nd appointment to my last it was a 3 to 5 minutes visit he then just deemed it as a poison ivy outbreak, gave me my Cortisone shot and steroids and sent me on my way. He said that to me in the winter mind you. So at this point I dont want to see this doctor and I get an appointment with the great physicians at ADVANCED DERMATOLOGY and within 30 minutes of their care they did more for me than Mr Luckasen ever did, they scraped skin for a micro scope sample and got me answers and then I learn that I have had scabies this entire time. I mentioned it to Mr. Luckasen just to be told that it couldn't have been scabies. That man is not a doctor he is a man that freezes pimples off he is not dermatologist. The other physicians may be great at what they do but I cant let this slide. I BEG YOU TO NEVER SEE MR JOHN R LUCKASEN. HE IS NOT A DOCTOR, HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR WELL BEING. read more

Will not return. Saw Dr. Darling - she was rushed and just wanted to remove my scars - didn't offer another solution. I let her do one. Cost almost $1,000 out of my pocket. Sent in HSA information to pay half of my bill, and a month later received a letter in the mail that my card was declined - they were trying to put all of the bill on my card instead of a portion. They should've called me and I would've given them a solution. Now my credit score has dropped. Do not waste your time. read more

Scam. I confirmed with front desk the average going rate. Received the bill a month later, and it was at least $50 dollars more than the average dermatologist. Dr. Darling dismissed my previous diagnosis and prescription that had been steadily working. She started a whole new regiment, which I told her I did not want. The entire visit, they did not listen to my ONLY request. I left feeling like I was screaming in the middle of a crowded room and no one was listening. Today I had a free mole check with Dr. LUCKASEN. I read terrible reviews after making my appointment and was tempted to cancel. But I have to 100% disagree with those reviews. He was kind. I felt like he really cared and was happy I came in to get checkout out. He was only with me for a few minutes but he told me everything I needed to know! I also had my 3 year old and 10 month old with me. The office staff was kind and helpful. I waited maybe 3 minutes in the waiting area. This is such a great free service they offer. I was afraid I was going to be treated like a less important patient ... extremely pleased and will be back with any future dermatology needs. read more

This place doe NOT deserve any stars. I was insulted at this office by Doctor Luckasen. It was my first time going to this place and I am furious with how I was treated. I was early for my appointment and had to wait 30+ minutes just to get into a room. The nurse was nice, but doctor Luckasen barged into the room, not even introducing himself, and say's what's your problem. I had a lump on my arm about the size of quarter that my general doctor told me to get checked out because it was growing larger in size. I lifted up my arm and Doctor Luckasen who was standing a good three feet away from me just looked at it and said "it's a cyst you're fine" then walked out of the room. My first thought was this dude didn't even feel it with his hands...does he have xray vision or something. Even if it is a cyst I wanted to know what kind it is and why it is on my armpit. I am furious. I wasted my time and money on someone who didn't even put in the effort to actually check out this lump. I can not believe how I was treated. Thank God I got a second recommendation because I had to get it removed immediately because it was infected really bad. Moral of the story DO NOT GO TO DOCTOR LUCKASEN. read more

I was referred to Midwest Dermatology by my doctor to check out a "pimple" on my left nostril. The front staff and nurses are wonderful! I was seen by Dr. Darling, and I was (and still am) amazed at her fantastic care and professionalism! The diagnosis was skin cancer, resulting my having MOHS surgery being performed. While the initial results right after the surgery was shocking, Dr. Darling and her staff assured me it would heal with very minimal to no scarring. I also had some "age spots" frozen at the same time, so needless to say I would not have passed any beauty contests! Dr. Darling continued with followup checks, and some injections to help the healing of the scar tissue. After six months, no one can tell I had my left nostril operated on! I have just one minimal hairline scar! I can not be more happy and pleased! I highly recommend Dr. Darling and Midwest Dermatology Clinic! Although I have relocated to Calif., I am going to try to keep up any checkups with Dr. Darling, even if that means I have to fly back to Omaha! read more
