However, upon finding Carter Carpets, I was nearly instantly wowed. You won't find owners who are nicer or care more about the job. They gave us a start date that fit our schedules and the crew that came out was amazing. They were quick and thorough, made an effort to leave as little mess as possible and even offered up their vacuum. The price was extremely reasonable but if you factor in the outstanding customer service, it made the whole experience more than worth it. They care about the job they do, the people that hire them, and the reputation they leave behind, and I greatly appreciated how they worked with us and took care of us. I purchased Karastan carpeting from Harms last year. The carpeting was losing an unusual amount of…read morethreads. I called Harms and they sent several men out to investigate. After several months it was decided that they would replace it. The stipulations were that I replace the carpeting with Karastan carpeting and that the new carpeting was more money and I needed to pay an additional $1000.00. The new carpeting has the same issue with losing threads. Also, the pattern did not match in a few places when installing. There is an area running down the middle of the room. Woody came to the my house to repair it, but the line is still visible and he said it is the best he could do and would have one of he owners to contact me. Walked in 3/22, picked out carpet and paid down payment...our salesperson never came from behind…read morethe counter. (except to walk over and show us the different pad options when we were filling out paperwork) Whatever though, that's fine...who likes a "hovering salesperson" anyways? It had to be one of the easiest sales she's ever made. BUT, I was told the carpet had to be ordered (3/24) and it would be 1 - 2 weeks. OK, no big deal. One week goes by...no problem...we expected it. Two weeks go by....well, maybe we should call. We call and are told we have to talk to the installer. He has to call us back. We call again. We're told that they have to do some checking and they'll call me back 1st thing next morning. I call them back the next day after work....they need to check with the mill, they'll call me back. Finally THEY CALL ME back and state that the order was "tagged with another that had no ship date"...so, in other words, our carpet may have never shipped...and they would have never checked on it, until we called. Yes, they were very nice during the whole thing...and we're finally getting it installed today 4/17. So, long story no-so-short...It just seemed to be a lot harder than it should have been.

Unfortunately, we have not had a positive experience with Perrysburg Flooring. We ordered new…read moreflooring over 9 months ago, and the project is still not fully complete. The flooring that was installed in three rooms was not the same floor we ordered--the color run of the batch installed was significantly off from what we selected. This was only realized after the full installation was completed. Manny and the team initially proposed ripping the floor up, but given the disruption involved (moving appliances, removing toilets, etc.), we ultimately settled on keeping the installed floor. Fast forward nine months, and we are still waiting on transition strips so the project can be considered complete. We have made multiple attempts to get this resolved. Perrysburg Flooring has since said they can't locate the strips, has asked us to re-measure ourselves, and continues to push out installation dates while citing backorders. At this point, it feels more like scrambling than follow-through, and we're not confident the strips--if they arrive--will even match the installed flooring. Overall, communication, accountability, and execution have been far from ideal. Based on our experience, I would not recommend working with Perrysburg Flooring.
