Dr. Chandra was very cordial, took the time to show me a picture of a small polyp because she knew I'd be interested since I work in medical imaging myself. I absolutely love Dr. Chandra. She takes the time to explain things, and I finally feel like I'm with a Gastroenterologist who actually cares about what's happening to me. She's truly compassionate and extremely thorough. I definitely recommend her to anyone who needs an outstanding GI Doctor. read more

I've seen Narin Tipton she's nice, but I will say I've tested positive for E Coli for 3 months and recently tested positive for C Diff on top of that as I came back in because I've woken up nauseous daily for 3 months which she as in her nurse said was inconclusive but present although I viewed my labs which say it is present in my stool and her nurse informed me that they don't treat either of them with medication over the phone and to just stay hydrated and drink plenty of fluids and that their is no need for a follow up unless I'm still feeling seek in the following week to call them and they'd send me to the lab for another stool sample I then at that point made the call the next week and her nurse said I should've went to my follow up appointment which I don't have any texts of a follow up but was told I had multiple sent to me and they want $35 for a no show fee which I refuse to pay because Narin Tiptons nurse told me their was no need for a follow up but to call if I was still feeling ill as I informed her I have for 3 months but then acted as if I was a problem and that I missed a follow up I didn't schedule luckily I got into Saint Luke's GI on Wednesday of this week and no longer have to associate myself with a clinic who allows their nursing staff to attempt to explain diagnoses or interpret labs for patients leaving them confused and misinformed in some ways I'd see this as malpractice her nurses name is "Ronda" incase anybody receives a call from her you may ask to speak with somebody who is educated and spent their medical life devoted to more than just taking vitals and asking your medical history and should be limited in her position to saying the Dr will be in shortly to explain your labs and what is going on medically. I'm a tree trimmer I don't call myself a dendrologist one who's studied plants, same as a nurse shouldn't consider themselves a Dr and inform somebody of medical diagnosis and how to treat infections and diseases. read more

I don't normally write reviews, but as bad as Midwest GI was to me, I thought I'd warn others. I had 3 appointments to run/review a series of tests for stomach issues. For each appointment I waited 30 minutes or more in the lobby to be seen (with very few other patients in the lobby, if any - none for my third visit). Each time I had to ask the receptionist how much longer I had to wait before my scheduled appointment. After the third appointment there were two prescriptions that were never sent to my pharmacy. There was also a third prescription that was supposed to go to the pharmacy (but never made it). This third prescription was never discussed, nor mentioned to me. I tried multiple phone calls after the third visit (unable to get anyone to answer the phone). I finally selected an automated option that indicated I was a doctor calling. Finally, I was able to get a real person to answer the phone and I complained about my prescriptions never making it to my pharmacy. I was transferred to the office manager who had zero compassion for my extended wait time for appointments and told me my prescriptions were at my pharmacy (which they were not - I checked multiple times with my pharmacy). She offered no help or follow-up of any kind regarding my prescriptions. When she argued with me about my prescriptions, she said she would have the doctor call me and she hung up on me. Dr. Taormina did call me and listened to my concerns/issues (I have not listed all of the issues with the professionalism of of the support staff, in the interest of brevity). He then told me he was firing me as a patient and he too hung up on me. He never apologized for his staff, nor all the problems I had had with his practice - very unprofessional. I don't know if there are any other GI practice options that are any better than Midwest GI, but definitely don't go to this practice. read more

it wont allow me to comment without a star....worst experience here, I didn't want to give any stars on how I was treated yesterday by the staff at this location.... I felt as if I was being discriminated against , I arrive at 1:21 appt wasn't until 2:30 advised the front staff several times I was in serious pain....I felt completely ignored.... I was referred to this location had to advise my referral of this very unpleasant experience.... 2:40 now rolls around and a white lady that came in after me is being pulled in and now im still siting in the waiting room.. finally a nurse comes out, didn't call me by name wasn't pleasant at all, she acted as if she didn't want to touch me... so now finally in the room only to be sitting another 25mins and still no one came in... so finally I decide to leave and atleast 7 people seen me walk to the front desk requesting for my co pay of $30 back. I REFUSED TO BE TREATED AS IF TIMES HAVE NOT CHANGED ... I also had to locate another company to see me, should there be anything serious going with me, since I was ignored completely yesterday will be looking at legal action... WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MY WORST COMPANY...
