I give my 5 star rating for everyone here except for the 1 doctor here who I did have a bad…read moreexperience with however it's because of him that I don't want everyone else here to be seen in the same light as people see him because it couldn't be further from the truth. My primary physician here is actually Nurse Practitioner Kristin Bleninger-Sundar. She's a wonderful caring woman who has been a blessing to me. She understands what chronic pain is (and what it's like to have to deal with it every day) better than others. She's knowledgeable about the many different options and procedures that can be tried to get you even more pain relief than you can ever hope for. Dr. Janiga is a ray of sunshine for the doctors here. He is kind, caring, and has an awesome bedside manner and really knows what he's doing but takes time to talk to you about what he's doing and make sure that you are both on the same page. Now, a doctor I leave nameless here, only as a courtesy, if you choose to go here you may or may not get along with but most patients (and staff) I talk to feel the same distain I have for him. He is rude, short (tempered), snotty, and deserves to be put in his place really, but will never change even if that were to occur. I'm sure you know the type. He has the bedside manner of a dead fish and the personality of a cold washcloth. If you have seen him then you know who I am talking about! If you have seen him and found yourself hating him, please give the other people here a chance to help you. Everyone else here is wonderful! Just come and give the chance to Kristin or Dr. Janiga and the rest of the staff and as long as you don't see the other doctor at all the rest of your care here should be pleasant

Would give zero stars if it was possible. Went to TCPC after living with 10 years of severe Lumbar…read moreradiculopathy affecting my left leg. Met with a NP, who told me that she would never prescribe anything for the pain and that the intrathecal pain pump was my only option. I had previously tried the spinal cord stimulator with failing results. After the "trial" I ended up with a spinal fluid leak, leading to excruciating headaches. After days of calling, they finally scheduled a procedure to fix the leak. I should have seen the signs then, but was so hopeful to have relief. Had the pain pump installed and thought everything was fine and I would finally live with less pain. Little did I know, the pump would be empty before the date they told me to come back on and I was forced to endure morphine withdrawals on my own. Phone calls went unanswered and portal messages ignored. When my NP finally responded to me via the portal, she blamed the emptying on me. Fast forward to round 2, I asked for a medication change due to the side effects I was experiencing, was given the change but again was forced to withdrawal because they will not return phone calls asking for a fill. I am so done, I will have the pump removed and learn to live in pain. Do your homework!!!

I told Sally Kangas that my family physician would no longer prescribe my pain medication after the end of the month, and still wouldn't even knowing I would be going through withdrawal. My internal alarm clock...toward its 'final days' it was working at the highest level...I really thought everyone could hear it cause I sure could. Thank GOD for Dr. Schultz...he made certain I knew ALL the issues and problems that might arise...I lost count of the forms I signed... I'm older and kinda wish I still had it...but I just wanted to say that chronic pain forces people to look to everyone everywhere to make it stop. My suggestion is to talk to.people who've had the stimulater implant-both pos and neg experiences. It saved my life! Still cannot do a backend thought ;)

As a patient i don't tell my credentials to staff. Primarily to see how I am and how they'll treat me. I've worked in ortho(did my internship at truama 1 hosp. This place is responsible for giving me quality of life that I didn't think was possible to have…read moreagain. I began coming here six years ago due to chronic nerve pain in my lower extremities, which is very difficult to treat. My doctor, Dr. Kokayeff, was absolutely amazing. In my opinion, the most important thing is to feel as though you've been heard during any interaction with a physician. Each and every time I walked away knowing she listened to o what I had to say and worked with me to ensure the chosen therapies were the best for me. Then, almost two years ago, something happened I wasn't even prepared for. Dr. Kokayeff and I had been working together for five years when she told me I would be a good candidate for a pain pump. I had never heard of one so she gave me a lot of information to look at. After reading through everything, I knew that this would further improve my life. I went through the process of getting approved for it and began taking the necessary steps to have it put in. In truth, the first few months were hard. The amount of pain I experienced increased because they have to start off at a low dose and work their way up. However, once that dose is reached it is nothing short of life changing. Imagine never having to think about meditations again. Imagine being able to travel and live your life on your terms without worry of refill dates and appointments. Imagine only having to go to the clinic four times a year. This is my new reality. If not for Dr. Kokayeff and Dr. Will, I don't know where I'd be. In addition to the above, I have better pain management because of the pump too. I am now working with Britta Carlson, who I believe is a PA. She is equally thoughtful and caring regarding my care and takes the time to ensure everything is going well with me. Equally as important is the staff at the Woodbury location is phenomenal. From the moment I walk into the clinic I am greeted by name. Even medical staff I don't work with are kind and considerate of how you are doing. I cannot stress enough how finding the right place is a case of life and death when it comes to pain management. For those who suffer from chronic pain, you know the toll it takes on you both mentally and physically. You are not alone. Twin Cities Pain Clinic has the staff and the knowledge to help give you a piece of your life back. I urge you to consider them if you suffer from pain as I do.

Each process with this TCPC location is extremely complex for no reason. The communication from…read morefront desk to provider, as well as, from provider to insurance and clients is subpar at best. The front desk personnel, Sylvia, gives off a passive-aggressive, patronizing attitude while dealing with clients, even new ones like those who were treated rudely by her while she was on the phone and for 8 min and made sure you knew you weren't to interfere. I made a call beforehand, stating I would be running behind and the person on the phone said, "head in," even after I told her my ETA. She said she would speak to my provider. Upon arriving, I was met with Sylvia's "pleasant" attitude, and accidentally responded when she said, "Hi." Little did I know, she had just ended one call and began another. The 8-9 min spent on the phone without letting my provider know I had arrived, is most likely the reason she said that she wouldn't meet with me. I had explained the previous conversation on the phone and I believe she thought I was trying to undermine her, when in reality, I just wanted to explain why I traveled 20+ min and arrived late with assurance of seeing the provider. It's sad that in 2026, when a Muslim woman is by herself, certain people feel the need to assert dominance when nobody else is around. Then, when the other "new" clients came in behind me, the way she treated them was rude as well, as if she didn't feel either one of us fit in to be there.
