Front Desk staff demeanor was incredibly rude and condescending! When I informed them that I only had an electronic copy of my insurance card Front desk lady started huffing and puffing, visibly in distress. She provided me the email, and spelled out " G-E-N-E-R-A-L" as if it is not common spelling. I emailed it to them as I do with other providers, and as I was waiting in the waiting area she calls me over by gesturing with her hand instead of calling me by name, also very professional. She said "The image is too large", and in case I didn't understand they also took the time to print it out into several sheets of paper, which she then preceded to show me one by one. And when I told them that I didn't have a copy of the back side, she about almost lost it! Case in point, I am not sure what the deal was and had I not been there out of medical necessity I would have walked away in a heart beat, but I have been to many other medical providers and until yesterday never had I been treated with such disrespect. It is the first impression you make of your practice and it was not a good one. I would advice that you give your Front Staff some additional breaks so they don't become so overwhelmed by small simple tasks. Or perhaps some additional training with computer software so they know how to make a large image into a smaller one. Audiologist and Dr. Deitch were great, so it's a shame that front desk behaved like so. Thank you!

She is not only thorough but she is compassionate. My first appointment with her was a follow up after an emergency room visit. First of all, she introduced herself as Karin, not Dr. Ulstrup. She asked great questions and actually listened to the answers. After hearing what a difficult year I was having she stopped what she was doing and said, "I'm really sorry you have been going through all of this." It was very genuine. She is also good with following up. I was supposed to go the dermatologist and had gotten busy and forgot. Her office called to remind me to make the appointment. My husband has now made an appointment with her as well. I am thoroughly impressed with Dr. Ulstrup (I still prefer calling Dr.'s "Dr.").

I genuinely do think making my voice heard on this place (ha, vocal institute, get it?) is what can even the karmic scales a bit, and hopefully will be enough a push to get the office staff to reflect on their behavior. To try and briefly describe the situation, I had told the office staff from day 1 that I'd be footing every bill as my insurance didn't cover anything. And from day 1, this was executed as planned! I paid everything on time as it was presented to me. After my necessary treatment there, it was confirmed to me that I had nothing else to pay off - what a joy! December of last year, I receive a $1 bill in the mail from them. Assuming it's a clerical error, I bin it. I then get a call informing me a surprise $900 bill is going to collections. Having never been late on a single bill (and again having confirmed everything was paid off), I of course was pretty surprised and upset. Turns out, they'd tried...billing my insurance? And didn't hear back for months? And the claim was (as expected) denied, but they couldn't be bothered to send the bill in the mail, call me, or email me about this? I have a feeling they're padding their bottom line assuming you'll pay anything off. After all, who wants their credit ruined by having a bill sent to collections? Perhaps most people who come here have enough money where they wouldn't blink at such a bill? In any case, even if what they're saying is 100% true, it's pretty unbelievable they wouldn't own up to any aspect of the mistake, give more time to pay off the bill before sending to collections, or have an ounce of accountability or empathy in this situation. Even a simple "we made a mistake, I'm sorry" would have sufficed! Kyle and Sandra specifically were obstinate and overtly hostile. Kyle has clearly worked here for a long time, and part of me wonders if they're aware of the racket he's pulling and that's what makes him such a valuable employee. Anyways, Dr. Rebecca Hoesli is the most intelligent, understanding, holistic doctor I've ever experienced. Her care was absolutely peak, and I wish her the best in her career. She helped me understand my condition and the options moving forward, and I'm able to work again because of her. I'm sorry that she works here.

The receptionist wouldn't even take the time to put down my name and agree on a time and date with me. She constantly put me on hold, then she told me to have someone else to call for me. I am a 24-year-old woman. I don't need to rely on other people to run my personal errands for me. I am not an invalid. Therefore, I'm adjusting my review for fairness. Overall, as a provider, Dr. Papierski is great. He's very knowledgeable. He nursed my injured hand back to well health (almost there) following a lawnmower incident at my home over 2 months ago. He's very professional with timing and has been quick and efficient with every procedure I've had at his office from suture removal to a surgical procedure to surgical pins removal. My only gripe with this office is with his professional staff (medical staff has been pleasant and helpful). However, his professional staff is another story. Schedulers have scheduled me prematurely for visits that I now view as a "waste" as I have to pay more $$ for those visits (the reason for my previous review) and the biller is hard to get in contact with to resolve billing issues. If you can deal with his whack professional staff, Dr. Papierski is a great doc!

I ended have to take the stitches out myself since I was already scheduled to fly out the day after surgery. Besides this everything else went very well with the surgery. After a year of the surgery I am back to being at 100%.
