He performed nasal surgery several weeks ago and I can actually breathe for the 1st time in years. I followed his instructions and came through with flying colors. Dr Ung is friendly and has a wonderful sense of humor(bedside manor). He answered all my questions and made me feel completely at ease. His evaluations regarding my nasal issues were 100% accurate and I wholeheartedly recommend him! Exams- I have very narrow nasal and sinus passages and always need to be scoped. Dr Ung is the best and it's quite comfortable. Dr. Ung's staff are efficient, friendly and empathetic. My husband sees Dr Ung as well ( he sings in a band) and Dr Ung has helped my husband's voice immensely. Thank you Dr Ung. (this said with tears in my eyes)

He is current on the latest care and techniques, and eager to help patients feel better. I had suffered from multiple yearly sinus infections for several years. He was able to perform surgery to clear my sinus passages and prescribed treatment afterward that has kept me infection free for a long time. He also helped my husband who suffers from nasal polyps. He is helpful and encouraging. Everything you wish for in a Doctor and more! May his practice continue to flourish!

Dr. Kaszuba came highly recommended as an ENT; I needed one for my infant daughter since an IBCLC…read more(lactation consultant) stated that she thought my daughter has reflux. Boy, is he in high demand! Our appointment was more than a month after I called to schedule it. FYI, I had a really difficult time finding the office. The closest cross streets are 75th and Book Road. (NOT the Reichert Rd. side, as the GPS took me!!!) I attempted to call the office to assist me with locating the building, but I was routed to a call center (?!) where I was put on hold and then hung up on! Then, when I called back, the girl who had hung up on me stated she was going to use Google Maps (which I was already using) to help me find the office. Not helpful. I asked to be connected to the office itself. While I was on hold the second time, I ended up finally locating the building. When I arrived, I was clearly frazzled and apologized, explaining what had happened to a receptionist. She wasn't very friendly, asking another receptionist about the "15 minute (late) policy"... Sooo, after all that, she was looking to turn me away??? (The waiting room was completely empty, btw.) Gee, thanks. Minus one star for the whole debacle with staff both on the phone and behind the desk. Even though we were late for our appointment, Dr Kaszuba was very kind and told me it was not a big deal. He was very personable and friendly, and talked through what he was doing and seeing. He also had a great bedside manner! We went through a quick health history, he examined my daughter, and then he scoped her to see if there was any irritation on her larynx. Luckily there wasn't! I really liked Dr. Kaszuba and would happily see him again if we legit need an ENT in the future!

I've had sinus problems most of my life. I've been to three different ENTs over the last twenty…read moreyears, and they all did the same thing: stuck an endoscope up my nose, looked around for 30 seconds, then shrugged and told me to keep using Flonase. On my very first visit to Girgis, Dr. Sam spent more than an hour with me. He ordered a CT scan and a full blood panel (turns out I had a deviated septum and low antibody levels for several strains of pneumococcal bacteria, which no doctor had ever told me, or even tested for). Eventually, when we had the results, he patiently went over everything in detail, and recommended surgery. The surgery itself was very smooth and the recovery was straightforward. Two months later, it has been LIFE-CHANGING. I am breathing better and sleeping better. Before the surgery, I generally needed an antihistamine, a decongestant, and a nasal spray every day. I have not taken any of them--not even once--since the surgery. During the entire process, the whole staff--Dr. Sam, the nurses, the receptionists, and the billing department--were kind, patient, and always available to answer questions. Do not waste time going somewhere else. This is the best ENT you will find in the area.

All was good until they submitted for payment before they sent a bill, we have the funds and not sure why they processed payment on MLK day, a federal holiday.

I was not impressed with this practice at all. They scheduled a follow-up appointment for 11:30…read moretoday (allergy tests and CT scan) after my initial consultation. All good right? No. I received more than 10 separate phone calls (gotta love an iPhone for keeping a comprehensive record of phone calls) and multiple emails confirming my appointment at 11:30 today. It was very annoying and intrusive. If they can't run their practice efficiently, what else do they do in a mediocre fashion? Well...I was just getting ready to leave my house for my 11:30 appointment and the phone rang. It was their office wondering why I was late for my 10:30 appointment! Apparently, since they were doing two different tests, they set it up as two separate appointments (one at 10:30 and one at 11:30)! What??? Every email and phone call I received was for 11:30, not 10:30. To me it's one practice and one appointment. Whoever is responsible for setting processes and procedures for this practice needs to get their act together. It doesn't matter that the doctors are good. If you can't manage your practice (which ultimately is a business), why should I trust you to manage a segment of my health?
