Easy to understand and appreciate. They expertly tackled a dry rot nightmare on the back of our house - a nightmare which we though had been remedied by another contractor years ago. Turns out that contractor made matter worse. Antone and crew were able to identify the sources of water intrusion - roof, gutter, a rotted window, wood siding, you name it. It took some time chasing down the dry rot, but the end result is that this side of the house looks as good as the time of original construction. The crew was punctual, neat and tidy, coordinated well with other trades, and they were fair in their pricing. All in all, a solid performance. I have referred NS Contractors to a work colleague, and will invites them back to address some fix-it items on the front of the house.

I will not include any names, as I don't feel that's appropriate. The installation was completed, but the contractor did a truly terrible job on the finish work. After sending many photos of the work and speaking with multiple employees, the company has continued attempting to send the same contractor back each time to fix the work. Once you look at the photos, I think it's clear why I'm not comfortable with that solution. These are not minor errors that simply need to be touched up--they appear to be fundamental finish-carpentry and installation issues. The short list of problems: there are gaps throughout the finished work; the door does not properly align with the jamb; the slow-close hardware was thrown away rather than installed; the paint color does not match; the wall texture is completely mismatched; and the finished work does not match the other doors or finish carpentry in our home. They also left their garbage bags at our home despite the invoice stating that cleanup and disposal were included. I have given the company multiple opportunities to correct this situation without posting a negative review. I have also been clear that, given the quality of the original work, I am not comfortable having the same contractor perform the corrective finish work. I have asked that the repair instead be handled by someone with appropriate finish-carpentry experience. At this point, I am at a loss with how this has been handled, which is why I am posting this review. I will leave this review up for as long as this situation remains unresolved. If you are reading this and this statement is still here, you can assume the company has not yet resolved the issues described above. If they resolve the situation appropriately, I will update this review to reflect that.

He was punctual and professional. He wore a mask and he also took his shoes off in the house without asking, which my wife was happy about. Not only did he fix the door handle (without having to actually replace the whole deadbolt/handle, which I feared), but when I told him the reason the handle broke - because of a problem with the lock - he then grabbed some more tools and fixed the underlying problem with the lock. The latter task took him longer than the original one, but he still only asked for his initially quoted price. How often does that happen?? David managed to fix what had been a huge headache for us in less than one morning.

I sent out a quote request on Sunday and only received three responses. However, when I saw the price Fillip offered, I knew it was the closest to my expectations. After Monday, as other vendors resumed work, I gradually received a few more quotes. However, many of them seemed to be taking advantage of the situation, so I chose not to respond. When Fillip came to inspect the situation, he confirmed his quote, which was largely consistent with his initial estimate. In the end, my condo management decided to take over my claim, but I had to use their designated contractor. Although this experience didn't allow me to follow through with Fillip, I still appreciate his transparency and reasonable pricing.

After their first visit, Jose creates a proper proposal that lists every job item, they schedule, they come out with a crew, do prep, paint, finish. If they discover dry rot, Eduardo can do the carpentry to fix it. So this is a great team. They are bonded, & they have a 3- year warranty for their work. We had dry rot on our garage door and in the back of our house 9n support beams, so Eduardo came out and repaired a great deal of problematic wood. Bottom line is that did a perfect job. They are nice and they are professional. They come through and keep their word.

The front door to my Craftsman is original and was in need of restoration. It was not hung straight…read moreso there was a big gap to the outside at the bottom of the door plus it was a real struggle to open and close the door as it scraped against the jamb. In addition, the door was worn and needed refinishing. Jeff did a fantastic job fixing all issues, and he did it in about two weeks! I was a little worried about security when he had to take the door to his shop for work, but he used plywood to cover the front door opening for those two weeks. It felt very secure. I had to enter the house from the back door, during that time, but it was a small inconvenience. The door is really beautiful now with the refinishing and darker stain. And it fits snugly and perfectly in the frame. The door now opens and closes very smoothly with no struggle or effort at all. I recommend Jeff highly. He was the perfect person for the job!

The time he spent creating the right stain, sanding carefully and applying the finishing touches was well worth it.
