Talked over the phone for 7 mins making the appointment for nothing? What? They had nothing scheduled actually! Not even a different date. Why would I waste my time to drive to this business then? Then she pulls the "I can't confirm if your daughter has insurance" card! So I make another app, called my insurance and she does in fact have insurance! The day of the SECOND appointment comes, I call to reschedule because my daughter was sick, she tells me again that they can't confirm that I have insurance! Other offices pushed unnecessary, expensive treatments, but Desert Kids Dental did not. The hygienist, dentist, and receptionist were all professional and friendly. My kids loved the toothpaste flavors and were very excited about the mochi squishy reward (important for kids!). Now they don't even want to wait six months for their next visit. Highly recommend Desert Kids Dental! Today (January 7, 2026) was our second visit for a regular cleaning and a tooth removal (as requested by the orthodontist). Once again, we were very satisfied with the service provided. It was easy to schedule an appointment that accommodated our orthodontist visit. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. She gave me an accurate estimate of the out-of-pocket cost for the tooth removal, and no unnecessary or extra services were requested or pushed by the doctor. The entire visit was pleasant. I'm so glad I found them on Yelp.

We were given one explanation over the phone, another explanation at the appointment, and ultimately wasted our time showing up for a visit that could have been avoided if the office had communicated clearly from the beginning. What is most frustrating is that instead of taking accountability for the miscommunication, there always seems to be an excuse or an attempt to shift responsibility elsewhere. At some point, communication with patients is the office's responsibility. The experience felt very much like a bait-and-switch. We were told one thing, planned accordingly, and then faced a completely different situation when we arrived. The dentist herself is great, but the front office communication and handling of insurance and billing issues have been extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

I even had them get on the phone with liberty dental and they explained that they are the only coverage . They did their research to tell me and apologize for Dr. B's dentistry and told me they just don't want to schedule me or "deal" with me because they can see the portal and I only have them (liberty) and they are in network. Dr. B's staff insisted I had two insurances I've never heard of in my life and it's very upsetting because at this point it has to be their system error . I really have to do an update because this office is really amazing…read more My 4 year old had to come back for silver caps aka princess crowns per Dr. Sam and I was pretty nervous because she was going to go under anesthesia and be sleep for the procedure. Dr. Amanda was the anesthesiologist and she answered any question I may have had when she came out to introduce herself to my daughter, my aunt and myself so we were definitely at ease with the procedure happening. We were given an update on her progress every 15 minutes or so and the whole procedure took an hour and she had 8 silver caps placed on her back teeth. Once the procedure was done we were able to sit in the recovery room while my daughter napped for 30 minutes before we woke her to leave. Also, my 4 year old had zero pain after the medicine wore off and we didn't even need to give her any Motrin or Tylenol. I really appreciate the way that the whole staff treated us from the front desk to the dental assistants and the Dr's. I could not be happier that I found this office for my children's dental needs! Also, special shout out to Aylene at the front desk because she was super helpful with the payment process and so kind. Next up is my teenager to get braces so we will for sure be back!!

It was his first time getting X-rays and an actual cleaning (last time the doctor just brushed his teeth at a different location) but with a little team work they were able to get the X-rays completed. Kaitlyn made sure to explain every step of the process so my son would feel included and it definitely paid off. He had so much fun he wanted to take the dental instruments home & keep the cleaning going. There was little to no wait time from the checkin to the X-rays, dental cleaning and doctor exam which is always appreciated when you have a small child. Dr. Farokh was awesome in explaining her concerns but also listening to see if these concerns impact the child before going full into treatment plans which i appreciate. I will definitely be returning and recommending this dentist to friends and family.

Our pediatrician office uses Summerlin Pediatric Dentistry and I had a really great first impression upon calling and speaking to staff. She explained and taught me so much over the phone since I had questions such as cost, recovery ect. Fast forward to day of appt. Didn't know the office is on the 6th floor and only a certain set of elevators go to this floor in the building! I think when patients are making a NP appt, a heads up about this is necessary. It took over 10 mins for the elevator to arrive and get on. I also went to a different set the first time and ended up being a bit late.
