Cassie and Gil had such warm, inviting personalities, and after the intro meeting we had with them to discuss everything we wanted, we knew they were the right choice for us. Our Clarke Estate wedding got canceled twice, so Cassie and Gil offered us the Artisan Building. We were so bummed out at first because Clarke had always been our dream venue, but our wedding at the Artisan could not have been more perfect. Everything from the food to the flowers to the music was better than we could have imagined. After the wedding, everyone kept asking where the food was from because they enjoyed it so much. Every member of Harmonious' team was so kind and ready to help both in planning the wedding and the day of. Any question or suggestion we had was answered in a timely manner by text. And on the day of our wedding, different team members kept making sure we were doing okay and made sure everything ran smoothly. We were basically "tasked" to participate in a relative's quinceanera. We, spouse and son, were…read moreassigned roles - us as "padrinos" and our son to be a "chambelan ". This organization was selected, not by us, to coordinate the event and to provide the rental tuxes. The chambelans & damas were to show up once a week to learn the various dances and logistics for the event. My son said the lady who conducted the "training" was not very friendly & tended to raise her voice consistently. She scolded those who were tardy - even though she had no showed one of the practice days ( the participants showed up but she never did and later claimed to have had an emergency. She never did explain why she did not call someone and ask them to notify the others. I eventually learned why she did not call - she simply does not care about her clients or appreciate their business. The tuxes were worn and looked like they were second hand. She and the staff were not friendly and curt when asked questions. We, and I know at least one of the other parents, received a phone call on Friday before the event demanding that the tuxes be returned on Monday - labor day. Later that day we received another call telling us they would be closed on Monday and to bring the tuxes on Tuesday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m - even though they closed at 8 p.m. We were told if they came in after 7 p.m. we would not get our $20 deposit back. We showed up at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and saw the mother of one of the other participants there. She said they weren't open yet and was trying to "track" someone down. The sign on their back door stated their hours as 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. We left and my spouse called later that day and was told that their hours are from 11 to 8. My spouse told her that the message we had received (and their sign" stated they were open 10 to 8 - the response, "I don't know what else to tell you, I just work here." On the day of the event the women who was the coordinator was very abrupt and socially "un-graced" She "barked" out orders and constantly gave conflicting directions. At first I thought I was just being over critical but a number of people in attendance commented about her lack of professionalism and how "confused" everybody seemed. My advise to anyone considering hiring them for ANY event - don't - you will regret it!

I had my wedding a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't have been more impressed with Richard and the Mijo Entertainment staff. I found Mijo Entertainment at the Diamond Bar Center Bridal Show. At first I was impressed with their quality of pictures from their photo booth. There were other photo booth vendors at the show but theirs stood out. After leaving my information with the staff I received an email from Mijo Entertainment and I looked at their website to see their work. I was very impressed with just that! Everyone looked like they were having a great time which is exactly what I wanted for my wedding! I emailed them and was able to set up an appointment. When I met with Richard he was very friendly and easy to talk to about what I was looking for. I booked Mijo Entertainment for our wedding photo booth, up lights, and ceremony and reception music. Richard emailed me song selection list and also questionnaire on my wedding details. They were very reasonable with prices as well. I was able to meet with Richard before my wedding day to go over my wedding details and he also made a timeline, which I thought was awesome since it released some stress from me! On my wedding day, Richard and his team arrived to my venue on time for set up. He was also very attentive to my needs. There were some hiccups at my wedding and he was so fast to respond and fix the issues. He even brought my now husband and I our dinner! The music was INCREDIBLE! And he was also able to get everyone to the dance floor for a group picture. When I first booked Mijo Ent my husband was not very happy with my decision, but I informed him he will love it the day of. On our wedding day my husband danced the night away (which I hadn't seen in 6 years)! And he just kept on saying how much he loved our dj and how great the music was. Weeks after my wedding my guest are still speaking about how great our dj was and asking me for his information. I would HIGHLY recommend Mijo Entertainment for your wedding, quincenera, etc. They know what they are doing and it is definitely money well spent! read more

Mijo Entertainment is simply the BEST!!! I've used them twice for a couple of house parties and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. What I like best is that Richard (MijoEnt owner) has a special gift: he knows how to read the crowd. Just when you see the dance crowd start to shrink, Richard works his magic and before you know it he has everyone dancing along to the latest hit. Whether he's playing Top40, cumbias, salsa, norteñas, etc. he knows what people like best and keeps them on the dance floor all night long. If you're thinking of hiring someone to DJ your next party or event, trust me, you're gonna wanna hire Mijo Entertainment. P.S. I didn't have Mijo Entertainment do any special lighting at my parties, but I've been at other events where they've also provided the lighting and it looks amazing. This guy has his finger on the pulse of all things party, wedding, and really anything event related. He gave us much needed insider tips and info on what to require from vendors, rentals, and even venues. We rented a photo booth through MIJO Entertainment for a baby shower that we were hosting. Richard made the entire booking process easy and thoroughly explained everything in detail. He even helped us pick a background and designed a layout for the actual photo prints. He nailed it on the first try! When the day of the event came, the photo booth was so much more than we could have imagined. There were plenty of props to choose from, and the layout was exactly what was shown to us. After extensive research I found Richard from MIJO Entertainment. Richard worked with us from beginning to end. He coordinated the most amazing quinceañera for our daughter. MIJO did the uplighting and name in lights for my July 2014 wedding at the Bagramian Hall in Montebello. I decided to include this at the last minute, and Richard was able to make it happen in less than a week! I was amazed how perfect they designed our name in lights in our language, Amharic (Ethiopian). 10 Stars! Richard did an amazing job at my moms bday party. He was very good at "setting the fun tone" early in the night that allowed everyone to just have fun and relax. I've sat on this review for 7 months. I really didn't want to write it. We got a Black Friday deal…read morein 2017 for our July 2018 wedding that was supposed to include DJ/MC, photo booth, up lighting, cake light, and GOBO. We added ceremony services as well. And then, our DJ went dark. We finally got in touch with Richard in late February and he told us they were busy with other family business ventures, apologizing for the delay. ....ok..... On Feb. 26, I reached out to start settling details for the GOBO and photo booth templates. On 4/16 we emailed our final decisions for both. We reached out on 6/3 to set up a time to meet and discuss details. That meeting (6/5) was cancelled the day of because Richard had pink eye. We attempted to reschedule that day and got no response. I reached out again on 6/7 and got a response on 6/8 saying he had lost all contacts and texts from his phone. ....ok... We finally met on 6/11. I confirmed with Richard all the songs (I provided a CD with the versions I wanted), as well as a day-of schedule. We confirmed AGAIN the photo booth and GOBO logos we chose. On 7/12 (mind you, the wedding is 7/22), I called and left a voicemail concerned that I had yet to receive a proof for the GOBO or photo booth logo. I got a text back saying they should be ready by the end of the day. Telling me again that he's been "busy with family issues." On 7/15 we confirmed AGAIN the GOBO logo, font, AND correct spelling of my name. On 7/20. TWO DAYS prior to my wedding, at 8:49 PM, I *finally*get the proof. And my name is spelled wrong. Now, *SURPRISE, SURPRISE* it's too late to get it corrected. I'm very angry, but I don't have time for anger. I'm texting Richard at our REHEARSAL DINNER with family as he asks for a decision of a refund of $100 or an extra hour of photo booth time to make up for it. On 7/21, we just agree to have an extra hour of photo booth time. On the day of the ceremony, 7/22, I notice that the song that's supposed to be played during our unity ceremony is not being played at all. *sigh* The photo booth is supposed to take place during cocktail hour as my husband and I are taking our pictures. Per our site coordinator, my day of coordinator, and several guests (including my parents), there was no notification or announcement that the photo booth was available for people to use. Therefore, we have maybe 20 pictures of people using the photo booth. The actual music during the reception. was great. But there were too many holes between the services we paid for and what we received. Of all the vendors we used, I recommended the same photographer, seamstress, and florist to several individuals I knew who were getting married soon. Two are using the same photographer, and a cousin who is getting married next weekend has opted for EVERY vendor I recommended. I could not, and will not, recommend Dance All Night DJ to anyone else. I felt stuck because we paid up front in November and could not afford to lose that money and find another DJ. I don't have a nice way to say this... I don't care about your other business ventures. Although unfortunate, the "family issues" plagued us and made coordination next to impossible.

Richard let us have extra lightning to compensate us for not being able to play at our wedding himself. The lighting was amazing it gave our venue an extra touch of magic. We thought the price was also fair and comparable to others. He was honest in what he thought the space needed and didn't try to upsell us on other services like lighting.
