My husband's diesel truck had some issues starting a few years ago. It was only a year old when we purchased it and it was a really good price. Fast forward to present day and we quickly found out the reason it was a good price. We were all ready to go camping when my husband discovered an issue with the DEF system. We made an appointment with the dealership and they had the truck for a month without ever contacting us with an update. They gave a diagnosis which sounded bogus to my husband so he quickly picked up the truck and made an appointment with Mike Creech. What a difference! The mechanics found old gasoline in the DEF tank which caused significant damage to the overall system. The turbo was also impacted. They replaced the damaged parts and the truck has never run better! I must admit I was a little hesitant to take the truck to Mike Creech due to the poor reviews. While I know everyone has a different opinion and situation, I can only say that we had a great experience. If there are ever any additional issues with the truck we will definitely bring it back to Mike and his team. read more

Fast turn around time, very communicative, very polite and helpful. I just had my transmission rebuilt after it slipped and had a front seal leak, they fixed the whole thing in about a week as well as a few other issues it had. Warranty is amazing too, alot better than i was expecting for a performance built transmission. I'll be using them for everything from now on read more

I had Mike rebuild my transmission, he knew the power my truck made, he knew the tubes it was running and knew more power was on the way. He said it would be built to handle whatever i threw at it. At the time i was making just over 600hp, nothing too crazy. My transmission lasted almost a year before it blew again. I immediately called the shop and they had me tow it to them. I was within my warranty period so i figured it would all be handled. I had a couple updates here and there, one explaining how all the clutches were burned up. Weird, i dont abuse the truck, i don't tow, i don't pull. But ok, burned clutches, should be a warranty job. I get the truck is complete call over a month later, along with a how would you like to pay. I explain to the lady on the phone that I should be in the warranty. Still, it hasn't even been one year yet and a "built "transmission shouldn't have had this problem. She gets extremely rude, And tells me that I cannot have my truck back until I pay them $1300. This is pretty aggravating so I explain my frustrations and how I was never even contacted about any such charge, they just performed the work without my consent. She gets even more frustrated and puts me on hold for 10 minutes. She comes back on the line and tells me that Mike has graciously dropped it to $1000 even. Now I am 100 miles away from my truck that is being held hostage, with a friend on the way to pick it up for me. He's 20 minutes away so i have to pay this extra $1000 to get my truck back. She continues to tell me that no parts will be under warranty of any sort even though they just pulled my transmission out and rebuilt it for the second time. I can't stress enough how you should not ever go to this shop!! They do poor work, and have poor ethics!! Just say no to mike Creech automotive! read more

I called the office and they told me that it would be a few weeks before they could look at the truck since they were so busy, I agreed to send the truck anyways as I understood they were busy. After the few weeks went by I called to see if they had looked at it and I was informed that it was on the books for the following week. I called back the following week and was told that a few techs were out sick and the truck had been pushed back another week. I then followed up the next week and was informed again that a tech had quit and my truck was pushed back another week. I followed up the next week and got a quick update on the truck, they had looked at it but needed more time. I was ok with this as I had finally got something going, they told me it was on the books for the following week. When I called back I was told that they looked at it again but couldn't figure out the issue just yet and wanted more time, but that it would sit for 3-4 weeks before they could get to it as they had other customers and my truck was a huge unknown to them. Now I understand you are busy, but I had been in line already for 3 weeks and when it was my turn I kept getting pushed to the back because I wasn't quick money. When I brought this up to them I was told that maybe I should find a new shop, not let me see if we can squeeze you in, not we can get you bumped up, straight to take your truck elsewhere, so that is exactly what I did. I'm bummed about all of this because I was told very good things about Mike Creech Automotive, maybe they were good things at one point but no longer it seems. read more

DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT USE MIKE CREECH. my truck went back 3 times in 1 year all for same problem. They overlooked things and curt hard corners. I have a 2500 Duramax and I myself among many friends get screwed over by that guy. And still my truck did not run and wouldn't honor his work. My friends have had from 1500 threw 3500 gas and diesel vehicles and every single one of them got over charged by the end of it and still had problems even with transmissions. Hey s mechanics are very green and not much experience I learned the hard way amongst other people I know. And further more took my truck to another shop very well known for excellent work and payed them to go thru it and they couldn't believe how horrible Mike CREECH work was. Nice guy pathetic work. I am beyond frustrated as I have wasted weeks calling and waiting, and calling and waiting. I initially spoke with a Mike Jr? I believe? Very disappointed! Very poor customer service, they never contacted us with the results of work we requested. We had to keep calling them sometimes they never answered. When we finally were able to talk to them they said they would call back, and they never did. We went to pick up our truck after three weeks not all work was done, just wanted our truck back. Be very careful about taking your car to Mike Creech Automotive. It took 3 weeks for him to tell me that he couldn't fix my car. He still charged me for looking at it and taking things apart. It was worse than when I brought it in. The customer service is terrible, no returned phone calls, and no truly honest communication at all. Get everything in writing! I feel terrible that I didn't say anything sooner, so that others might not have suffered the consequences of trusting Creech Automotive. read more

DO NOT GO HERE TO GET WORK DONE! Mike was recommended to me by my father. I had just gotten into town and my transmission went out. Mike seemed like a nice guy and my dad said he did good work. Well, he took a week and a half to tell me that I needed a new transmission. I thought that they must be busy, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I was told by Mike that he had located a transmission in Reno and that he would have it in his shop in two days. His service writer also said the cost would be 3100 to my wife. I called Steves Chevrolet in Oakdale and they said that it would take them a week to get the transmission and it would cost 3900. Because Mike was cheaper and he could get the transmission sooner, I went with him. This turned out to be a big mistake. When I went to pay the price jumped to 3900.00 I should have gone to Steves but he said he'd have the transmission in two days, so I stuck with him. Well, a week went by and still no car. I called his son, who is the service writer, and he would tell me that they were working on it or he would just hang up on me. Fast forward a week later, now 3 weeks, and he says that they don't have the transmission. A month later they finished my repair. My transmission now slips when shifting into first and shifts very hard. I tried to call the shop but I got no answer. I blocked my number and what do you know they answered. Anyways, I asked to talk to Mike but I was told that he was busy. I never got a call back. Run don't walk away from this place. *Update* Brought my car in after the repair and was told to take it to Steves....lesson learned. read more

This is the worst place I have ever dealt with. My sons car need a rebuilt transmission. It took them 2 weeks to fix. They never communicated or kept us informed about the car. I always had to call and I would get the same run around, "I will be done this afternoon". Well that went on for two weeks. We got car back this morning($2500.00 later) and now the speedometer is not working or RPM gauge. Took car right back to them and they said it must be a recall on it. That's the lamest thing I ever heard. It was working just fine before we took it in. Now they said they will call Chrysler and get it taken care of. I'm not mechanic but they more than likely didn't hook something back up. The customer service is horrible. I don't know how these people stay in business. I recommend never ever going to this place. Ive lived in Oakdale my whole life and try to keep business local, but these people need to be shut down. I wish i would of read other reviews before going there. Seems I'm not the only one who has had a horrible experience with these people. I will keep you up dated on the speedometer. See what they come up with.
