As a Colorado native and having ridden Mtn bikes since the sport began in the early '80s, I was looking to purchase a new state of the art mtn bike. For those of you who know, new technology in mtn bikes costs several thousands of dollars and so I wanted to make sure my purchase was the right one. I found myself at Elevation Cycles and immediately felt comfortable. One of the owners helped me and was super knowledgeable and patient. Prior to visiting Elevation, I went to my old shop, a well known Wheatridge bike store, but was turned off by their lack of enthusiasm and disinformation. Elevation and their staff are incredible. I test road a couple of different rides and got a custom fit before I ever committed to buy their bikes. Many stores will charge extra for the custom fit. For Nick and his crew, the fit was the first priority and I have to agree it made all the difference. Ultimately, I decided on a Trek carbon full suspension bike. No it wasn't cheap, but quality never is. These guys and Elevation are the total bomb. Do yourself a favor and check them out. You won't be disappointed! read more

These guys have brought the heart and soul back into an LBS. They took over a business that had seemed to give up caring and really helped make it a shop that makes you feel that a) they know what they are doing particularly when it comes to maintenance and repairs b) they care about you, not just the customer but the person who loves riding bikes and c) they care about the cycling community, growing it, making it better and not just because that means more money for them. Bought my latest bike from them and they take care of all my non DIY maintenance now. Gotta say these guys really have won over a lot of the cycling community in the Highlands Ranch and South Denver area. Haven't been to their Boulder store yet but hear they have taken the model they had down here and moved it up there which only means good things. read more

Went in there looking for some rims for my road bike. Walked around the store and was seen by several employees and was acknowledged by none of them. Not even to say hi or I will be with you in a second. Granted they were helping people but a simple hi would of been nice. I walked around the store for 10 mins and still no help. I have been riding for a long time, do not like spending money on gear more than once and as a result had been riding the same mountain bike for 13 years so when I decided I needed a new bike, it was a big deal for me. Having been a runner primarily for quite some time, I had decided a number of months before to switch to bike commuting to get solid cross training in and give my body a rest from running, so I had a lot to learn especially given the fact I was buying my first road bike. From the first moment I walked into this store the staff was respectful, polite and willing to explain the pros and cons each and every type of road style bike. After a number of trips to the shop, and several test rides where I was told to go get on the bike path and ride as long as I needed to to get a feel for the bikes, I settled on one. And I love it. They made every aspect of that purchase simple and perfect, so I decided the purchase of my wife's bike would also be made there. Again, they went above and beyond, going so far as to build a bike for her to try. Now having said that, for me the proof is in the service after you buy your bike and that is where this shop has proven itself as a five star location. They look after their customers. They are just as respectful and attentive if you need new tires as they are buying a bike. Their shop services are top notch and more than reasonably priced, having said that they cover all of the initial break in maintenance as part of the purchase. It explains why they are always so busy! To me, Elevation Cycles is a perfect example of a local company taking care of its community and vice versa! read more

walking in the place at 6'2 inches 195 lbs you can tell im no hoarse jocky looking pro road racer.If a guy like me walks into a bike store that sells the high end equipment like they do most staff look at you like waht are you doing here....your not 6' 145 lbs or "hard core enough"....NOT THESE GUYS...Nick walks up to me and treats me like a customer should be treated.He jumped into my mind frame found out what appeals to me.I think he was a bit alarmed I knew my cycling history dating back from the early 80s.In a cool way we hit it off ,as we both talked about small business MMA as well as bikes.then dude points out the best tire he has to offer for a mtb bike that I already have.I will plan on doing more shopping at this store,great great great people. read more

This is the best bike shop in town! The entire staff is helpful, knowledgable and willing to help. They don't try to sell you $10k bikes like the other place across the street. These guys are genuine and they just want to share the joy of riding with everybody. My entire family goes there now and I will be buying a new Mach 6 for next season! read more

I was on my way downtown on a bike ride and hit a pothole that took out BOTH tires:(. Called Elevation Cycle to see if they were open, I planned on walking there but they offered to come and pick me up on the side of the road. THAT is customer service. Dropped off my mountain bike for a good tune up. When the time came to pick it up they told me the rear cassette was worn because of a stretched chain. They were correct but then they told me they did not fix it because there are no parts available for an 8 speed cassette. They said I would need to replace my mountain bike. When I came home I looked on line and there are plenty of places to order new 8 speed mountain bike cassettes and chains. Clearly they were only interested in selling me a new bike. I would recommend that you do not take your business to this shop. read more

Nice shop. Customer service is insulting. Seems you need to look a certain way to be considered legitimate. Not to sound arrogant but I can more than afford what they have to offer. Speaking of offering, don't dare go in there asking for a model (Trek) they don't currently have in stock. Apparently ordering a bike is just unheard of.
