I can't say enough positive things about Mike. We are beyond thrilled with how our kitchen backsplash turned out. From the estimate, to scheduling, to having him come out to complete the project, Mike was responsive and easy to work with. He is extremely knowledgeable about tile and provided helpful recommendations for certain aspects of the project. Mike completed the project quickly and did a great job. I highly recommend him for any tile work you need.

Mike installed a fabulous porcelain floor. I had a slab that was cracked on two sides, fixed everything! GOAT status!

Mike and his team did a great job remodeling our bathroom in Carmichael. We are very happy with his work and would highly recommend him. Mike was involved with the whole project; demo, waterproofing, tile installation, installing a toilet, and fixtures. He is easy to work with and provides good recommendations for options or improvements that can be made. I ask a lot of questions, and he was happy to answer them all and explain patiently. He has a good eye and pays attention to small details that make the final product come out really nice. Other parts of the project like plumbing, electrical and stone countertops Mike has people he works with to complete the job seamlessly. They cut, polished, and installed a quartzite countertop and sink, added plumbing for the shower, and installed a glass shower door. Overall, the project was completed quickly. Mike was a pleasure to work with and we look forward to future tile projects.

Mike's the best! I was so worried about hiring a tile guy, because I'd never had a tiling project before, but I was so fortunate to find Mike. I had a pretty small project - just needed to install decorative tile under my new range hood and above subway tile. Once Mike arrived, I knew it'd be ok. He not only reassured me of the things I was concerned about, he seemed authentically interested in the project and doing the little details to make sure it was perfect! I totally would recommend him for your tiling project! I'm so happy with my little cooking space, thanks to Mike!

Mike did an outstanding job on my entryway! As it turns out, the area was not square and he had to cut the tile to fit. He is very skilled at installing tile. It is apparent that he takes pride in his work as he went to get additional baseboard and high quality grout to do the job right. He and his assistant worked hard to get this done in one day. I would recommend him highly to anyone who needs tile work done.

My project was replacing my kitchen countertops with quartz, new tile backsplash, sink and faucet. The counters had to be done by Home Depot's vendor. I have custom cabinets that came with our house. In one corner they go down to the counter, which created a problem for the countertop vendor -- said I would have to cut them! Thank goodness for Mike, who said that he could remove the cabinets and put them back up. Mike is a perfectionist who did a beautiful job on the decorative frame above my oven. He did all the prep and was able to complete the job in one day -- stayed until 9pm! I am very happy with Mike's work and will be sure to recommend him to family and friends.

I would whole-heartedly recommend Mike's Tile if you are thinking of having bathroom work (or a kitchen upgrade) done. After vetting five of the top-rated tile contractors, I chose to work with Mike's tile based on his solid 5-star Yelp reviews. I was not disappointed as I am super-picky. He brought my plans to life and did a beautiful, old-world craftsmanship type job on my shower remodel. I couldn't be more pleased with the final outcome. All of the prep work and water-proofing was done as a meticulously as the final tile setting itself. His price was the best of the five quotes I received and he did the tile work himself. Mike is also CA-state licensed contractor.

New backsplash makes a huge difference!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Mike's Tile, and I can't speak highly enough about his work. Mike's craftsmanship is truly meticulous--every detail of the tilework was executed with precision and care. His thorough prep work ensured a flawless finish, and his clean-up process left the space spotless. Tiling requires a certain amount of attention to detail and I'm so please to have found a tiler that is as much of a perfectionist as I am. He helped removed the upper cabinet, retile the backsplash and installed floating shelves. He is also a nice guy! He literally whistles and sings while he works! Haha What really stood out was Mike's commitment to going above and beyond in his work. He didn't just meet expectations; he exceeded them. The results are absolutely stunning, and his pricing is very reasonable for the quality delivered. Without a doubt, I will use Mike's Tile again and wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone in need of exceptional tile work.

Mike and his team did an amazing job in tiling a fireplace for me. It was obvious from the start of meeting with Mike that he was the perfect fit for my job. Mike has a perfectionist attitude, a creative eye for detail, and a strong work ethic. Mike was tiling behind a team that framed my fireplace. When Mike saw the work the contractor did he was shocked at the poor job that he had to tile behind. Mike worked at least half of a day fixing the issues that were left behind by another contractor. The end result of the project is beautiful and I couldn't be more happy with the job. I would recommend Mike for any tile job. I will definitely use him for my next project.

I had Mike come out and provide a quote for repair of a floor in the master bath and to re-tile the floor following a water leak that I had previously repaired. I ultimately did not use his services as the bid was too high. I got the impression that Mike was an expert in what he does, and that the quality of his work is excellent. I was able to get what I needed for much less with another licensed contractor. My takeaway for anyone considering this type of work done is to get at least 3 quote before having this type of work done. He was not.able to provide me a paper copy of his written quote, and I had to take photo of it with my smart phone. I think that you should provide the customer a copy of any estimate and not.just a screenshot of it. Hopefully this contractor will find this feedback to be helpful.

I cannot express how pleased we are with the high quality workmanship Mike provided for our two bathroom remodels. His attention to detail is exceptional. Every step of the way he reflected on how best to do the work despite many challenges (not straight walls, damaged subfloor, sagging subfloor). He executes his projects like he would for his own home. He was recommended by a friend and I have already recommended him to multiple neighbors. You will not be dis.

We had Mike remodel two bathrooms at the same time. He was amazing to work with and we are so happy with his work. He is meticulous and did the cleanest, nicest job I have seen. His ad is for Mike's tile but he is so much more than that. We had drop down ceilings over both our shower and tub and he raised the ceiling, which was a huge job and replaced some sub flooring. What he does not do he subs out. Everyone that came out was so nice and meticulous. We only had one issue with a sub that framed out two windows. The minute we said it's not right Mike said ok and had the guy come back out and redid them both with no discussion and no attitude. When is anything that simple? Haha. Remodels are never fun but this was as easy as could be because of Mike. He talked with us about everything and we had discussions about the work whenever either one of us needed to touch bases. He also worked very long days to meet his deadline date and he met it! We have already recommended him to two friends and recommend to all. Great guy and great work!

Mike did amazing work repairing a kitchen remodel. The tile above my Vent Hood only went half way. Mike took the tile to the ceiling making sure all tiles lined up and took pride in his work. I highly recommend Mike.

From day one, we were impressed with Eric who came to look at our project and give us an estimate. He was very professional, prompt, friendly, organized, knowledgeable about products, scope of work, and gave us a very impressive timeline. Eric offered his expertise about layout, and products which was very helpful. When we received our contract, it was just as he said it would be, and the scope of work included everything we requested. After the contract was signed, the owner of Vostok, Alex, arrived with the demolition crew. The crew was very careful to cover the adjacent bedroom furniture and flooring. The bathroom work area was closed off with plastic, and the crew was very tidy while they worked. The old bathroom was demolished ASAP. Alex is very knowledgeable and skilled. He has a very deep bench of very skilled craftsmen who are amazing. The quality of everything was top notch. In summary, we would highly recommend Vostok for your bathroom renovation.

I also felt very confident knowing that the plumbing, water connections, and work behind the walls were completed properly and professionally. I would definitely recommend their work. My biggest advice when choosing a Sentrel shower wall is to wait for a sample before making your final decision, especially if the color isn't available to see in the showroom. In our case, the Master shower floor and walls were supposed to be the same color, but once installed, the walls looked noticeably different and had more of a gray/green undertone. We absolutely love the workmanship and truly appreciate all the hard work that went into completing our bathroom. The only thing we're struggling with is the wall color. If replacing the walls is even an option, we would love the opportunity to discuss it, although we honestly feel hesitant asking because we know how much work went into the installation. We certainly don't want to take away from the beautiful job that was done--we just wish the final color had turned out closer to what we expected.-Pauline V.

It would be very difficult to give an accurate estimate that way because there's a lot of dry rot underneath the steps which needed to be inspected in-person. R&B Framing was the only company which showed up to take a look at the steps. Two days later, Jose Cedillo emailed me an estimate and thoroughly answered my questions. His company uses Redwood or cedar wood for Victorian homes, though cedar does cost extra. We were surprised by how fast his crew finished the job. They showed up on April 9th, early in the morning and worked until the evening. They arrived the next day to finish the rest of the steps and the banisters. He also painted the banisters according to the original white creme color. If it's a legacy house, they'll stick to the originality of the Victorian architecture. (Per building code regulations, when a house is considered a legacy house the paint must be the original--or close to the original color--of when the house was first built.)

It was a massive project that stripped things down almost to the studs. Overall, it was a 5-star experience and we're really happy with the final result. One of the things they did exceptionally well was the upfront planning. They scanned the house and worked off our Pinterest boards to build a digital 3D model first. Being able to iterate on that digital model before any demolition started meant my wife and I could nail down the aesthetics and know exactly what to expect. Once construction was underway, jobsite cleanliness was great, and living through the disruption was about as tolerable as a major renovation can be. Olive Homes handled all the Folsom city permitting and inspections without too much friction on our end. Whenever unforeseen issues popped up--as they always do with major renos--they came to us proactively with solid ideas and solutions. On top of that, they actually finished on budget (slightly under budget, in fact), which is pretty rare for a project of this scale. The main downside was the timeline. The project took longer than both we and Olive Homes expected. Their primary team and main subcontractors were top-notch, but some of those main subs hired secondary subcontractors below them. That extra layer caused communication breakdowns--there were days when secondary subs didn't show up when expected, and some of their work was lower quality and had to be redone. The prime contractor was very empathetic and considerate throughout, stepping in to ensure re-works were handled properly, but those secondary sub issues definitely caused delays. At the end of the day, the finished product turned out beautifully. The craftsmanship is high quality, and we've gotten a ton of compliments from family and neighbors. We've made our final payments and expect to do our 1-year warranty checkup punch list soon, but we are genuinely very happy with our home and would recommend Olive Homes to anyone looking for a solid, honest local contractor.
