We hired Mike Sipes entertainment for our wedding. This included two fantastic string players for our ceremony and DJ Glenn Blackk for the rest of the night. We were so happy with the entertainment they provided to us and our guests. The wedding ceremony music was beautiful and I was thrilled to hear "Desperado" was played before the ceremony. DJ Glenn Blackk then did a great job transitioning to cocktail hour as well as being the Emcee for introductions, dances, and toasts. Dinner music included classics from Vanessa Williams and Selena. MIke Sipe Entertainment is most professional entertainment company I have worked with. I hired Mike Sipe to facilitate my DJ needs for my wedding. Being a DJ myself I had very tight guidelines that needed to be followed. I wanted a professional DJ with a professional set up. Mike found the perfect DJ and planned the right set up for our space. He also planned a call so I could meet the DJ via phone (I live in San Francisco). Mike recommended DJ Johnny Quest. After talking with Johnny I agreed Mike had found the perfect DJ for my needs. Mike's assistant scheduled a meeting a few days before the wedding in order for me to meet the DJ and fill him in on the specifics of our dance and reception plans. We had DJ Glenn Blakk for our wedding on 1/21/23 and it was the BEST day ever! We had a violin and cello duo for the ceremony (so awesome) and then musicology for the reception with DJ Glenn Blakk, Mario Reynolds for drums, and Keanu Reedz for saxophone. It was the best night of my life and I literally did not leave the dance floor. The guests loved the musicology. We loved having the live music element but being able to play all of the songs we wanted, it was a unique mix of having a DJ and band. DJ Glenn Blakk was seriously so awesome. He met with us on zoom before the wedding and went through everything with us to make sure our vision came to life, and he did not disappoint! He went above and beyond, even talked to me and my husband for awhile about marriage advice in general and spent so much time with us. I could tell he really loves what he does! There were so many people on the dance floor up until the very last song, and I could not have asked for a better night. He definitely exceeded my expectations. Hiring not just a DJ, but a wedding entertainer was at the top of my list. I didn't want just good music. I wanted an entertainer to make sure that people were on the dance floor at all times. Making sure that they were reading the crowd. Unfortunately the day of my wedding, not only were there awkward times when no one was dancing but people started coming up to us telling US to change the music.... It was embarrassing. Got bad that the groom and I were too afraid to confront the DJ so TWO friends went up to him to change it. Some of the songs that I requested were not even played, including my last song (which was important to me). There was barely any interaction between the DJ and the audience. What else...After the MOH and best man had their speeches he forgot to announce us to make our speech (yes we told them that we were). And the worst part about it was that I waited 2 weeks to call and let the company know about my dissatisfaction. I wanted to breathe, recollect valuable feedback because honestly we were PISSED right after the wedding. And guess what? It's been 2 weeks (maybe more) and no one had the nerve to call me back. Even an apology would've been nice... I expected so much from them because they seemed like a reputable company. I could've went a regular DJ and saved money. The whole experience is hurtful. read more

DJ Ray, Gabe & Remi absolutely surpassed our expectations!!! We knew that we'd be in good hands with anyone on the Mike Sipe Team but we are so glad that we got to pick those three talented guys! We came to a meet & greet in April and met DJ Ray, he was super personable and right away understood the vibe and feel we wanted to achieve at our wedding. You can tell when you speak with Ray how passionate he is about what he does. He was also super excited to learn about our venue and was up for the challenge of a non-traditional brunch wedding! Three important things at any wedding are the venue, food and the music! The combination or fusion of a DJ along with a vocalist and musicians, really created a live stage presence! Everyone was on their feet dancing. That is a testament to the great music that was being played. No one wanted to go home! There was something about DJ Ray Acosta when we went to the "Meet & Greet". I am so happy we locked him down for our event. He is by far one of the top DJ's I have ever met! The vocalist, Lauren and the Saxophonist, Lee were like putting the icing on the cake. There was a last minute switch on our Percussionist, so I did not get her name, but I do know she was awesome.
