I brought my van in for two warranty-covered issues and explained that I needed the repairs completed quickly because I had two upcoming trips planned. The service staff assured me the work would be completed promptly so I would not have to cancel my trips. About a week later, I received a call letting me know my van was ready for pickup. When I arrived, I was pleased to find that all of the issues had been fully resolved. While reviewing the completed work, the technician, John, took the time to meet with my wife and me to explain the repairs he performed, as well as the preventative measures he implemented to help ensure the issues would not occur again in the future. Stopped by Mike Thompson's RV Superstore in Colton, CA, which was part of the Miracle Mile RV Show this weekend. The Show was nothing like the Pomona Fairgrounds Show we attended a few years back but the many dealers participating in the event did a good job with their presentation. We met with Jeff Schwab who clearly knows his industry and what a fantastic and transparent RV consultant. The display of RVs of motorhomes was quite vast and Jeff showed us the Newmar and then the Tiffin Open Road series. Jeff pointed out specifications, options and truly provided an education on what to look for in a quality built coach. We have a newer Grand Design towable RV and were simply curious about what our next rig may be as we get older and look at a simpler and more practical way of RVing. Generally RVers upgrade every 5 years so we still have time. The selection of RVs was plentiful and the starting prices competitive. If you are looking for an RV you must reach out to Jeff Schwab at the Colton store, he is simply the best in the industry that I have met. We bought our 2021 Forest River Georgetown Motorhome from Mike Thompsons Rv Brand new in July 2021 for $153,600.00, paying $13,972.00 for an extended warranty through Compass. We have had it back to service numerous times, somethings were fixed, something were not and made them worse. The generator went out with very low hours, we took it into service February 2 2025, going back and forth with the service people, warranty people. We did get the okay on February 25 that Compass will replace the generator. Needless to say, as of April 7, 2025, we still do not have our motorhome back. It is a shame that as a retired couple we are not able to use our motorhome. We have spoken to Neal the service manager & Jennifer in the service department and they are saying, its not their problem. So why would you buy something from Mike Thompson if they dont back their product? I would highly recommend that you go to a different dealership that takes care of their customers and backs up their products. There sales pitch is experience your dream vacations, well, its more like a Nightmare at Mike Thompson's RV. Do not buy from Mike Thompson's RV and or a Forest River Product. read more

My husband and I went to Mike Thompson after shopping around at multiple RV dealers in the area (Family RV, Giant RV and Camping World to name a few). As soon as we arrived on the lot we were greeted kindly by Daron. Like I said we have been shopping around for awhile and after tons of research we knew that we wanted to check out Grand Design. Mike Thompson RV is the only dealer in the area that sells them new and because we were debating between new and used we knew we had to check them out. Daron took us to all of the campers we wanted to check out. We ended up checking out 6 campers while there and Daron was so patient with us! He really went above and beyond!! The best example of this is when I wanted to standout on the deck from the camper; he went and grabbed a battery; hooked the camper up and showed us all the gadgets. We were sold not only with the camper but with him. The negotiating is usually the worst part; this time it was a breeze! We settled on a great purchase price and our trade in value was reasonable. I totally forgot the name of the sales manager but he was wonderful!!! Daron took us back to our new camper and we got to explore it more while he went and tied up the loose ends. He got us over to finance where we chatted with Michael and that experience was less then 10 minutes!! Everyone we spoke with felt up front and honest. Don't even know where to start with this. It's sad that I have to post this and say bad things about Mike Thompsons RV. When we started our Journey with sales it was great and we found our dream Motorhome. Had a few promises on our due bill that needed to get fixed. So this is when the fun starts. We Bring our motorhome in for service that was promised during the sale. Then we get a Rep Name Josh Musgrave, and I hate to call people out but we have no choice. We started out with telling him what was promised to us in our due bill which we have in writing. Takes our motorhome back and sits for over a month and mind you this is the second time it's been here for the same issue. So back to Josh, who lacks communication skills and has no clue as to whats going on with our RV. Does not return phone calls nor emails (maybe a couple a week or two later) and that's after we have to tell someone in his department that we have not heard from him. When we do hear back from him it's like a broken record explaining ourselves over and over again with our motorhome still sitting at Mike Thompsons RV. So now Josh, wants to try and push these promise repairs through warranty when this was promised through sales and is on our due bill shows proof of it. This caused more of an issue of delay when we kept on telling him it does not need to go through warranty. We informed him to get this done and stop the delay of things but he insisted that he's waiting for warranty's authorization. Not sure why he's waiting (when this was promised) After having to cancel a trip that was planned cause of his delay. So we informed (Josh) that we need our motorhome before 2/3/2025 cause we were not gonna cancel another trip. So we pick it up on 2/1/2025 at 9 am which he was aware of. We arrive and see it just parked there, my husband goes into the service department and speaks to the cashier clerk and informs us that we owe almost $700 dollars so they can order the parts, which was on our due bill and promised to fix. Which is a side mirror that the camera does not turn on, and a seat belt on drivers side that does not work properly. My husband's says no I'm not paying that cause this was promised. The cashier clerk kept on insisting cause Josh had no notes in the system for his fellow coworkers. Thank goodness someone spoke up and said if we are required to fix it will take care of it. (Thank goodness) So we got to our motorhome thinking it's good to go and will need to make another trip down here once they get the parts we need, which should of been done the first time. Walk into our coach and screws all on the dashboard, center console is hanging out no care in the world to these people. No one inspected it or if someone knew we were picking it up common sense would thought I need to put this back together or maybe if Josh, would have made notes we were picking it up. I hate to be this person that's gotta complain but this is ridiculous. And I know this happens a lot to people that need work done on their coach, trailers, 5th wheels, makes no sense as to why it needs to sit for so long (asking for damages to occur to your expensive outdoor recreation equipment) I would like to Thank Frank, in the service department for showing some concern and getting a service tech David, to put the dashboard back together. Frank also filmed the nonsense before it was fixed. So maybe before you leave your Rigs ask as many questions as possible and hopefully you get someone with more information and communication skills and common courtesy to get back to the customer at a reasonable timeframe. FAILURE! FAILURE! I brought my RV to Mike Thompson for a routine hot water service. After $200 the water heater DOES NOT WORK. Normally Would not be a problem but I happen to be on an Arvie trip and I have no hot water. I spoke to Jonathan in the service department. They have made some changes and Neill has come on board as the service manager and what an amazing change this has been! He has the most positive attitude and he recognizes his customers and always does his part to make sure they are satisfied, especially when any issues have arose. In addition, I have also been assigned a new Service Advisor, Josh. I don't want to get into the background to this, but I have had some issues in the past and Josh is a complete breath of fresh air. Well, I had a good experience buying the motorhome but I have never experience such bad service. It's been over a year and a half and parts still have not been supplied that were promised at the time of purchase. When I brought the motorhome in for warranty work it was returned with wires hanging loose and electrical tape holding plastic parts together that should have been replaced. Motorhome was not working properly either. When I picked it up Coach battery and chassis batteries were both dead with the motorhome left in gear. They did me the "favor" of jumpstarting it so I could drive it home. On the way home, the generator kept trying to kick on every six minutes. After having another mechanic look at it, I found out they did not reconnect the computer to the generator. The coach batteries have now gone dead and they're under warranty but only through Mike Thompson. I'm going to buy a new batteries instead of trying to deal with the service center. I can't recommend buying here due to the horrible service. read more

My Service Advisor, Tony Nunnally arranged my service so I could get several issues taken care of in one appointment. They fixed my solar connection, checked my propane system, fixed my screen door so it now closes properly. Don also fixed my wall that had separated. I have put together a five star review for this particular location because at the end of the day I received a great product and I received very good service from my sales person. However buying an RV from Mike Thompson is a very challenging experience. I would love to tell you to go somewhere else but the truth is the RV business is a very unique, very small community that's built up of a handful of good people but the truth is most of everyone has a layer of slime and when you do business with these people will experience exactly what I'm talking about. Again this particular location sold me a travel trailer, I agreed to the price and the trailer was delivered as promised and we are very very happy with our purchase. My sales person has already quit his job, he was new and could not work in this type of environment. I'd like to say we bought this trailer because the sales person was not yet corrupted by his colleagues. No don't get me wrong, I don't know of another place that I can recommend more than this particular dealership. Unfortunately the industry as a whole is very unique. I can tell you stories that you would not believe about their Fountain Valley location. I mean I could write a short book about handful of really bad things my family and I experienced. However each brand of RV basically contracts with all the independent dealers and if you want a certain brand you have to buy that certain brand from whoever is the authorized dealer. If you don't have your heart set on one particular type of RV then you might have a little more flexibility but if you're sold on a particular type of RV you're only going to do business with who has it for sale. The service department here at this particular location is great and so is the service department at the fountain Valley location. I have talk to people that work in service and I personally feel some of the employees are really really good people that are trying to take good care of a consumer that just walked into a crazy world, the crazy world of the modern RV. We love to travel in the RV but keep in mind that right now there is a huge shortage of inventory, a huge shortage of qualified technicians and everything about the RV business is delayed. Parts don't exist, technicians are backed up for not weeks but months and the only thing between you and your broken brand new RV is a supply chain that is broken. Maybe one day I will write a review and share with you what we experienced because it's unbelievable what we went through to get our RV. Been a full timer for over 5 years now. Was looking at a class A $250,000 motor home a few months back. Decided to hold off 6 months to see what the economy had in store on a better deal! Friend took their 2022 5th wheel in for a serious king pin issue on factory warranty. Was told they would get it back in a week. After a week and numerous lies about it taking time (never looked at) my buddy checked his on board Ring camera! He found workers sleeping on his couch, going through their cupboards, alcohol and sniffing their blankets!! WTH?!! Service manager was confronted and the comment was "well that's embarrassing"! Let me start out by saying Francisco and the entire service department are the real MVP's! They have been the most helpful, understanding and just really trying their best to help us; I wish I could rate them 5 stars! But this is for Mike Thompson and if I could give them negative stars I would. The sales department could care less as soon as they make a sale. Soon after your off the lot they won't answer your call and brush you off to the next person. We purchased a 2022 Grand Design Imagine... it's beautiful but the track system is ; we didn't even get to take it out for first trip. We went to get it ready and the slide out would only go out on one side. Sales told us to call grand Design and they immediately shipped out the motor (hoping that was the issue). The service team squeezed us in the next day... sales washed their hands and didn't want to help and mostly had NO sympathy when the trailer was brand new! We drove it off the lot and parked it. Not even 20 days old. They said, "oh well that happens". Happens to a brand new trailer and never been used? I understand things break over use but this still had the stickers and signs on and inside it, the plastic was still on the queen bed! Joseph Morales was the absolute worst and started arguing with my husband he was rude and disrespectful and kept saying "what do you want me to do" when my husband proposed paying for a voucher for a rental trailer he basically laughed at him and said no way, not happening. Stay FAR AWAY from this location! Go across the street to Richardsons! Our friend bought a trailer there and has had nothing but a good experience!! I wish I had given them my sale. I will never trust or buy from a MT ever again. After spending as much as we did we should've been treated much better! So sad to say this place is such a joke. They gladly took our money when we first purchased. offered Us an extended warranty package for our brand new toy hauler fifth wheel. Please take your money somewhere else service department is horrible. Honestly can say they have had our trailer in service more than we have had it at home. They lost our trailer on their lot. Nothing they say they fixed is ever fixed. Zero customer service. I just pray you buy from a more responsible dealer. It's insane how they are still in business. This 5 star rating is for service technician Riley Wooten. He is extremely knowledgeable, respectful, and patient. We had to leave our RV at MT RV for over a 3 months for warranty repairs. I was assigned Fransisco as my service advisor. I asked him to keep me posted on the status of my RV. I would call and leave messages, I would consider myself lucky if he ever returned my phone calls. I finally gave up on Fransisco and spoke with his supervisor CJ the service manager. I informed CJ about Fransisco's lack of communication with me and told him that I want to deal with him directly. CJ introduced me to Riley (who is a service technician, not an advisor) and I am glad he did Riley was very helpful and called me to keep me informed. It was not even Riley's responsibility to have to deal with customers but I commend him on his exceptional service and I am glad for his assistance. I understand parts are hard to come by these days and everything takes a lot more time. All customers want is to be kept informed about the status of our Rv's. A simple phone call or even a text? This company should use Riley's example on how to treat their customers. read more

Looking for a trailer for my family was extremely hard until we came to mike Thompsons RV our sales associate Jonathan was amazing he figured out our family needs and helped us find the perfect travel trailer for us.
