Our washer was stopping in the middle of a wash cycle. I contacted Mike and explained the problem. He gave tips on how to check if the problem could be solved without a service call to save us the service fee! Who does that! Mike does that! I still moved forward with the service call. I took his advice but the problem persisted. He was able to fit me on his schedule within 36 hours. He came and diagnosed the issue pretty easily. The black rubber hose had begun to break down and clogged the water pump. The connecter parts was also worn on the water pump. He called in a part and returned within the hour to complete the job. After replacing the water pump Mike checked out the dryer and informed me that the length between the exhaust and dryer should be 16 feet max. He moved and trimmed the dryer exhaust hose. Then he sat me down and explained that we should be using a garment bag for any item under a foot. The reason you ask? Small items get sucked in between the barrels and a garment bag protects them. This was one of many tips he gave us to extend the life of our washer and dryer. The past appliance repair men I have dealt with love it when you don't take care of your appliances because it means more service calls for them. I've used Mike's services twice now and am so happy I did! I was having problems with my dryer not heating up. He began by asking questions (to try to help determine the issue before coming out). In most situations people will try to look at the appliance first before calling someone so they can try to fix it themselves. My husband is in a wheelchair and I have cancer and a broken arm so I told Mike this that way he knew I hadn't even looked to try to see the issue. He was really nice on the phone and worked with me on a good time to come out. He spent a good amount of time taking it apart and diagnosing the issue. Before doing anything more he gave me the price to fix it and asked if I would like him to do so. I said yes to fixing it even though we determined that I would need a new dryer pretty soon. I highly recommend Mike and I will never use anyone else again. He is extremely knowledgeable, his prices are good, and he is a great guy! He will give you a lot of information so that, if you listen to him, you will get the most out of your appliances. My parents and sister have all used his services also. This guy is a complete weirdo. Have me super creepy vibes wanting to hang out and talk about his personal life after telling me to by a new washing machine without even looking at mine and then staying for HOURS wanting to talk to me while I was home alone. He was so weird. Gladly took 85$ for doing NOTHING. All of these reviews he has no way came from legit customers. He had to pay people off to leave him all these reviews. He is super arrogant and pushy and wont ever leave your house. He even complained about the road I live on telling me to call someone to fix it. I live in the suburbs, you call em yourself. He didnt do ANYTHING but want to talk and talk about stupid weird and random things. Even talked about a washing machine killing someone and then made me really feel uncomfortable. I worried he was going to try and do something to me after he kept trying to stay and talk and I tried getting him to leave. Dont call him. Hes lazy as hell and doesnt want to work for his money. I spoke with Mike this morning concerning our stove was not heating properly and I asked about him coming to check it out. He stated he was getting ready to go out of town as it is the Christmas season however he took the time to ask me all about the type of stove and even allowed me to put it on speaker phone so he could also talk with my husband and talked him through how to get to the element on our particular brand of oven. In doing so my husband was able to find the cause of the problem and Mike told him how to find the correct one on a website from which he orders. I called Mr. Way at 8 am & by 9 am he was at my front door. I have a ten year old dryer that was not heating up & drying my clothes. I had a problem with a clothes washer and dryer . I called Mike Way and he was able to work me into his schedule the same day . Mike came out and examined the washer and it was leaking around the water valve so Mike replaced it with the parts he had on his van .. He then turned to the dryer and took it apart to find a wore our heating element and thermostat . Mike came out to fix our dryer due to it no longer heating. He literally prevented our family from a catastrophe! Called Mike based on reviews. Mike asked detailed questions up front, when it was determined a service call was needed, he was there in less than 30 minutes! Turned out the dryer was just used up and wore out, with the heating element shorting out against the cabinet, as well as several other internal issues. Cheap GE unit that would cost more to fix than replace. Mike gave me a ton of info and advice on dryers, and suggested suitable replacement options. Good man, will use again if needed. read more
