DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. On 11/26 - Tech showed up, told me the unit needed a heating element and had ordered it. He told me when the part was received the office would give me a call in order to schedule the repair. On 12/1 I called to follow up on the order. I was told it would be 7-10 business but with Thanksgiving day it may take a couple extra days, however the part was on order and I would be contacted when it arrived. I called back on 12/12 to follow up. (10th business day not counting the week of Thanksgiving) I was told then there was no ticket, and the tech never ordered the part. If I wanted resolution, I would have to put in another ticket with GE. Not trustworthy, the front office lady is rude, and I will not deal with them again. read more

I saw some negative reviews, but I have to say that I received excellent service from Stones River Appliance. I have the extended warranty from Lowe's for my washer. I got a quick appointment to determine the problem and only had to wait a short while to get the part in stock and get the machine repaired. Both service agents and telephone assistance were super nice and efficient. It's been a week since the repair was finished, and the machine is working properly. Stones River Appliance Repair out of Murfreesboro, TN was working with me in the beginning. I have an warranty through the Home Depot Allstate Plan. The lack of communication from the Home Depot Allstate Plan between myself and the repair company was ridiculous. Parts were sent by Allstate and a technician did show up but could not fix my Samsung Refrigerator (ice maker). The tech took the parts and said that he would let them know what part was needed for the repair. Allstate scheduled another date for the tech to come out. He did but I had no part. I had to contact Allstate again. I now have the correct part and a new appointment. I reached out to Stones River Appliance Repair to let them know I had the part for the appointment. I was told that they did not have a technician for the scheduled appointment. They were going to call me back. I never received a phone call back from them. Today is the day the technician is supposed to come and repair the ice maker. I called Stones River Appliance Repair and got a voicemail. I let a message inquiring as to whether a repair person would be arriving today. I also called the Home Depot Allstate Plan customer service. Customer service put me on a brief hold in order to call Stones River Appliance Repair. Allstate Customer service came back to inform me that Stones River Appliance Repair said that they had told me that they did not have a technician for my appointment and they offered me the following Monday, in which they said that I declined the appointment. I was never offered a Monday appointment nor did I decline anything. The integrity of the office manager is in the toilet. Obviously lying to cover up her lack of ability to do her job. I would not recommend this repair company based on the fact that certain employees lack integrity. read more

Our washer broke and we had warranty through Lowe's. Lowe's utilizes stones river appliance in my area on warranty claims. We set up the appointment for the first repair in 4/22. The tech diagnosed the problem, ordered parts and came back a week later. His diagnoses did not fix the issue so he asked the owner to order another set of parts that could possibly fix it. The owner did not place this order in a timely fashion. Once placed we were told it was in back order. A week goes by and we had not yet heard back. We call and they said the part should arrive that following Monday. The part did not arrive but they did not call to give us an update, we had to call. Finally the part comes and a second appointment was made on 5/17 (a month later). To no surprise, this part also did not do the trick. The technician said it could be something else which they have parts for and that the office will set up the next appointment. A holiday weekend goes by and they did not call to set up this appointment. We had called and got stood up on 5/3. The technician arrive on 5/6 and the part doesn't work. He states that the owner wants him to now order a part for the lock although the board is fried and it will not fix the washer but that warranty states 3 order parts need to be placed to process a full warranty claim. Once again another appointment is set for 5/13 and the part does not work. After talking with the front office staff they state the warranty will now be filed and more than likely we will receive a gift card to purchase another washer and the process time is about 10 days. 6/28 rolls around and we now call Lowes. Lowes shares that the warranty has not been closed out. We make a call back to the appliance repair and they state they think now by sending the owner he can fix it by taking a look at the lock and that they will not file anything until he makes a visit. 7/2 is the owners appointment, this was definitely the last thing we wanted to go through especially after reading previous reviews. This has been dragged out to the point that it is obvious that they do not want to let Lowes know they could not repair the washer. I would like to share that within this time frame, the amount of money spent at the laundromat and embarrassing visits to friends houses to wash a load her or there is becoming a large and expensive inconvenience. This company does not care that we purchased the warranty in case of failure so that the minor hiccup could be corrected. They claim to be a family run business but do not care that we are a family of 4 now scrambling to do laundry throughout the week. read more

We had our refrigerator/freezer go out. It is only six years old. We called our home warranty who sent out a company that was horrible. They diagnosed it as needs a new compressor, we don't fix them so you need to buy a new refrigerator. The home warranty said we could choose any other vendor for a second opinion but they do not have any other vendors in the area. I could not get a vendor to come out until we reached out to Stones River. Chris came out looked at it and ordered the compressor and parts. He got the job done and our refrigerator/freezer is working great! The only concern is that parts are non refundable and only a 10 day warranty. He saved us from buying a new one though! This company is horrible. Had to order a part for our washer, scheduled a time for install then never showed, never called, never responded. I waited around all day. Finally came out days later after I called multiple times only to find out the problem was mis-diagnosed, something else was wrong, so I decided to buy a new washer. They repaired my Freezer by replacing a small fan motor inside the freezer, as well as a defrost timer unit 6 months ago. Total spent for that repair was in excess of $600.00. That same fan motor in the freezer has failed six months later, and after 3 days and 4 calls wherein I left messages, they finally called me back to tell me that they only warranty repairs for 90 Days. Naturally! They want to charge me $80.00 to come out and tell me how much it will cost to have them repair the same problem for the SECOND TIME. I asked them how much they would charge for selling me ANOTHER MOTOR and they say they have to come here and charge me the $80.00 in order to give me the price of the new part. This absolutely sucks. They guy was nice enough and I watched him make the previous repair so I am confident in my ability to replace the motor myself if I can get one. To me this is just piss poor customer service and I can not in good conscience recommend them to anyone. read more

Wait, am I at the right business? It sure seems like I must not be, but I am. We had a problem with our GE Refrigerator and according to my Nextdoor App, Stones River Appliance Repair were the people to call. We called on a Wednesday, they were out on a Thursday (when they said they would be), and ordered the part that day to have it come in on Tuesday, and they scheduled a time to come back. There was a risk that the refrigerator could completely go out, since it was control board related, so we were worried we would have to play food swap and cram in our other, much smaller, refrigerator and the toll it would take on that old thing. The part came in early and they were out on Saturday, during "closed" hours to replace the part. He didn't even have our paperwork on him, just stopped by to see if my husband and I were home. In and out in ten minutes or so. We had Chris Callahan. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He was kind to my big, sometimes scary, dogs. I usually just put them up to avoid problems, but he shared with me when he was on his way, that he also had big dogs and was not afraid. It's the small things that differentiate one service from another. And to me, that stuff matters. I will definitely call them again, and ask for Chris by name. read more

I had a warranty repair through Lowe's on my Whirlpool washing machine. Lowe's made the appointment with Stones River Appliance. Stones River Appliance came out when scheduled and Billy was very polite and thorough. Come to find out my washer tub was frozen because of a bad actuator. Billy had to order the part and returned in two days and put it in. All this time I thought it was my laundry detergent but it was a malfunctioning washing machine. Yesterday, three men Came in our kitchen & looked at the 2 appliances He said our microwave would be over $900 for the part, plus service call and labor to repair it. He looked over at the compactor & said we needed to buy a new trash compactor Never touched - didn't open or touch. They Wanted to charge us $98.for each appliance (they didn't really look at) or $200 for 5-6 minutes they were here. When hubby asked a question, the boss man left our house and sat in his truck? We wrote check for & $98.00 and they left. Also, they had changed our appointments days & times. We were quoted $125 to come out and repair a simple thing on our refrigerator. After a five minute repair, the technician informed us there was an extra $50 labor fee added to the bill. What started out as $125 endeavor ended up being $192.06. They were very misleading in the way that they handled everything. They sprung this fee on us at the last minute - after the work was done. My wife was caught off guard and paid the money but we wish now that we would've reconsidered. I strongly do not recommend this company under any circumstances. Very bad experience. read more

My stand up freezer was not freezing, called my home warranty company. They assigned a different repair company that couldn't get anyone out to us for 2 days. Found Stones River Appliance, called and gave me a 4 hour window for the same day. The Tech Chris arrived at the beginning of that 4 hour window, he was professional and courteous. Advised we needed a new fan. Said it would be in on Wednesday, they called on Wednesday to schedule the appointment. Got there in the beginning of the two hour window. Got the repair done, quickly. This review is regarding customer service of the technician . I made an appointment for a repair, and took off work since someone has to be home. The day of repair it was getting close to end of appointment window so I called to office to confirm he was coming. The woman was very nice, and advised he was running late "because the rain." I have no idea what that has to do with appliance repair, but okay. Sure enough the tech never came nor did he call and let me know he wasn't coming. The next day I had to call to reschedule (instead of someone reaching out to me). Once again the woman in the office was very nice, but could not give any reason why there was poor customer service/communication by the technician. I believe if your business relies on customers taking off work for 4-6 hour appointment windows the very least you could do is reach out to customers to inform that you will be late or not coming at all. I am only using this company because of my warranty. I really hope this is an area that can be improved upon. read more

Washer broke. Stones River appliances comes out. Chris Callahan: agent of record. Says controller is out I'll be back Monday. No one shows. Josh shows up on Thursday with the controller. Wasn't controller. He says the door switch is bad will be back Friday with it. So of course the next Thursday Chris shows up with the door switch. That powers up the unit. Yeah. But the hoses coming out of the dispenser have been chewed horribly by mice. Would have been nice to have picked that up on the first visit. I tell Chris..."leave it. I'll replace the hoses. Can't wait on you guys" He says he will take them off. I tell him nope, I have this. He doesn't remove the clamp, pulls on the hose, breaks the dispenser. "I know where one is I'll bring it back tomorrow and fix this." I am furious. I tell him if it's not fixed by Monday, I will take him to court. Pure and simple. Monday comes and Dawn from Stones River says he will be out there Wednesday to fix it. I take off work, wait on him. He doesn't show. I go outside... a used dispenser if sitting on my steps. Not even the right dispenser. I call and tell them I am suing them. Dawn tells me that to get the correct dispenser will take three weeks or more so they just left me one. I went to Lowes and bought a brand new washer for less than $300 more than their bill. They required me to pay the bill in advance. I now see why...lol. They will refund most of my money, take back their parts on Monday, not replace my dispenser. Dawn did tell me that the dispenser would not have broken if I had not kept the washer in a warehouse for six months...of course the washer has never been stored in a warehouse by me...but people who lie don't care what stories they create. If they don't show Monday....you guessed it....I'll file just on the principle of the matter. read more

Unfortunately we were connected to them under our warranty with Lowes. After 3 weeks of saying they would have a part in 3-4 days and showing up in the morning when they were supposed to arrive in the afternoon and then not showing up at all and not being able to get them to answer their phone, we lodged a formal complaint with Lowes. When they finally did answer their phone (30 mins after the window of time given for our repair) they said they had thrown us out of their system and sarcastically and rudely wished us luck. Lower was made aware of all of their unprofessional behavior and we are now set up with a more professional and well-rated company. If you have a choice, stay away from this company. read more

He knew exactly how to disassemble the old model and diagnosed the problem with precision. I will gladly use and recommend him to service all future appliance needs! We had the unfortunate experience of dealing with them with a Lowe's warranty on a refrigerator. We are now on week 4 and visit 3 and the issue is still not fixed and we are still without a freezer. They lie on what time they will come to your house and never communicate any changes. When calling them to ask on the status, the office manager Dawn is extremely rude and they act like they did nothing wrong. Once again, this is visit 3 and if it was fixed in visit 1 or 2, we wouldn't have to schedule visit 3. I recommend this company to no one. Please take your business elsewhere. read more

They are very unprofessional and could care less about their customers. They won't even answer the phone until after 12.....and forget get a call back. My frig went out and the warranty company sent me their number to call. First when I called a child picked up the phone and I ask to speak to its mother, then the phone hung up. I called back and it went to voice mail. I left a message and they didn't bother to call back. I finally figured out to call after lunch, apparently that is when they answer. I ask for a service person and they said they couldn't come because of personal business until Thurs. this was Mon. SRAS got in touch with my warranty co. and told them they couldn't come. However, Thurs. came and they showed up along with another co. SRAR came first so I let them ck. the frig and the guy said I needed a compressor and he would have to order it. It would take 7 to 10 working days to get it back. I waited and waited so I finally called (after lunch) and got someone. They needed to send my warranty co. pictures and info. Needless to say I called again (after lunch) and Katie said she would TRY to get to it today......then low and behold she called me and their pics. wasn't any good and could I make some. Probably because I had just got off the phone with the warranty co! The warranty company decided to give me a new frig. SRAS could care less. I am now in my 4th wk. of not having a frig.
