Mike and the other mechanics showed me how the bushings were affecting my car and gave me a quote which was a lot less than Honda. They saved me a lot of money. They were very professional. Showed me the parts that needed to be replaced and showed me again the parts after they took it off the car. I found Mike's Auto Repair on yelp, I spoke to Mike on the phone and he told me I could take in my car at that moment for my oil change. When I got there I was greeted by a young man and he told me to pull in my car, I told him I had already spoken to Mike on the phone. The young man who helped me was really respectful and informative. Once I was there I felt like my car was in good hands. I also really liked the way Mike speaks to his employees, I feel like he treats them like family. My oil change was done so quickly, I was extremely impressed by their friendliness and service. Let's get started with this review I started to look for somewhere to take my truck because I felt either it was a misfire or transmission problem. So I took it to AAMCO down the street. I felt they gave me the runaround even though it was a free diagnosis but left the truck overnight they said they were going to check it by 12:30 said they were gonna check it by 130 came at 2:30. They said my truck was next for the diagnostic. I said no I got things to Do grab my keys came straight to Mikes. I should've looked at reviews first.. AAMCOS 2 1/2 Mike has 4.7 long story short got here told them what I felt was wrong. They plugged it in. He told me it was misfiring from spark plug One gave me the price and ruler thumb if you're gonna change one spark plug change them all I did the tuneup cables all that good stuff Mike could've easily said hey it could be this. We want to check out your transmission. It could be something else. The man is very friendly honest didn't try to upsell. I guess if you do need something, he will let you know, but I felt none of the sneaky business tricks there straightforward my truck was done the next day he offered to get it done that same day I said I'll take your time. I don't work tomorrow. Long story short picked up My truck stepped on the gas and my truck was ready to do burnouts .. I called Mike in to tell him about the issue I was having with my car, he told me to come in after lunch time. I did exactly that, and he checked my vehicle within a few minutes as there was someone in the office with him. He was very honest and didn't charge me for a basic check up and told me that it could be an alignment issue. I loved that he was very kind and honest. Depending on what you need done, the price is right. Here's where everything goes wrong. Technicians are irresponsible. Shady in a sense. And can't nobody tell me otherwise because I've taken my car her five times. And all five times I give this man my business I find something I don't like afterwards so, here's what I don't like: 1. B.S seems to be a lot of it going on from the man who runs the joint all the way down to the helpers, mechanics, technicians or whatever you want to call them I don't appreciate nobody telling me what I can and can't do to my car. It's my car. If I want to upgrade it to make it appeal to me what does it have to do with you? Nothing. If you get paid to do a job, be quiet. And you're technicians are lazy. They definitely don't clean up after the mess that they make. 2. This place does a lot of under the table work. (No Receipt) So, if you give them your money to do a job with no receipt, if something goes wrong thyou notice about your car, they will not take responsibility for anything that may occur afterwards. SHADY. I had a situation where my car was making a noise that it's never ever made before until they did some work on it. And I take it to Mike and immediately he claims no fault. And I wasn't even claiming fault, I took it back because that was the right thing to do. If it never made that noise before until you touched it, common sense should tell you to take it back to whomever worked on it last right? That was you. And when we try and pinpoint we couldn't identify the noise for some reason. But later that morning when I'm driving at higher speeds you can hear the noise. He blames it on my Parts. Mind you the parts cost me a lot of money. They weren't you're oem kind of parts. These were better than stock. Yet when I drive down the street people can hear my car making a noise. Thanks. So bottom line is this. You give these people your hard earn money expecting them to fix a problem for you and they hastily fix your problem but with a catch! You might have to bring it back. Well, I won't be coming back to these dudes. Obviously they don't appreciate my business if they can't do a simple job right. Obviously they don't appreciate my business if they tell me if you have a problem just bring it back and when you bring it back they make a fuss. So I wouldn't bring your vehicle here to MIKE'S AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR ON SUNNYMEAD IF I WERE YOU. ALL THOSE YOUNG GUYS ARE LAZY SUCKERS. AND THE HEAD GUY IS A HATER. read more

They just fully restored my Beetle after I let it just sit for two years! I've been coming here for 12 years, I knew nothing about cars back then and they could have easily taken advantage of me like the first shop I went to tried to, my car was vibrating really bad I was told at a different shop that I needed new shocks and struts, I took it to Mike's turned out I just had warped the rotors. Since that time I've had 4 cars he has repaired and serviced all of them as well as my friends vehicles never having an issue. Yesterday my best friend needed a new alternator in their car, despite the tow truck dropping the car off 4 hours late and the location of the alternator being hard to get to he still fixed it quickly and as always his price was way better than the other quotes my friend received. I saw a post insulting the other employees that work here, having dealt with them over the years I can tell you that they are all good hard working people who will take care of your car. The first time I went to see Mike for a tune up, Mike was very honest and suggest me to see a catalytic converter shop instead since my engine light is on and the reader is saying catalytic converter.
