My son's vehicle had a check engine light on, and we were informed that the diagnostic fee would be $137.00, which would be applied toward the repair order if repairs were approved. We agreed to proceed. However, compared to Walters Mercedes-Benz of Riverside, which frequently offers complimentary diagnostic coupons and service promotions, the overall value was not as attractive. I am not certain whether this shop uses genuine Mercedes-Benz OEM parts. In my opinion, aftermarket parts or parts represented as "OEM equivalent" do not match the quality and reliability of genuine Mercedes-Benz dealership parts. I recommend that customers verify exactly what parts are being installed and compare pricing with the dealership before authorizing repairs. The biggest issue that caused this shop to lose my business involved my son's vehicle being diagnosed by Jojo as having flood damage. We filed an insurance claim, and after speaking with the insurance adjuster, I learned that a request had been made for the insurance company to send payment directly to the shop. Because the vehicle was fully paid off, I expected any insurance payment arrangements to be discussed with me first. I was upset because I never authorized direct payment to the shop. After arranging for the insurance payment to be sent directly to me instead, I later contacted Anita regarding repairs to my vehicle. The repair quote I received was significantly higher than I expected, which caused me concern about the overall cost of the repairs. Another issue that negatively affected my experience was a comment Anita made to me: "You are lucky you got part of the adjuster money; you would have gotten NOTHING elsewhere lol." I found that statement unprofessional, inappropriate, and disrespectful. Overall, I stro[[HIGHLIGHT]]ngly encourage customers to compare repair estimates directly with the dealership before authorizing work. In my experience, independent shops are not always less expensive than dealerships. While some shops advertise lower hourly labor rates, the final estimate may i[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]ncrease through additional labor hours or other charges. Customers should also consider transportation costs. Unlike Walters Mercedes-Benz, which provided transportation assistance and a loaner vehicle, Prestige Automotive did not offer me a ride, rideshare service, or a loaner vehicle. As a result, customers may need to pay for rental vehicles or arrange their own transportation, which can significantly increase the overall cost and inconvenience of the repair. You will end up paying more than a dealership for less quality than a dealership . I took my daughter's BMW due to a coolant leak. Prestige did the repairs and I picked the car up. When I got close to home, the low coolant light came on. While filling the coolant up, I noticed coolant in the engine bay. I brought the car back the next day and they showed me where the leak was, which was NOT one of the hoses they replaced, nor did this hose leak before I brought it down originally. They took the car right in, diagnosed the issue, repaired the issue quickly, and tested to make sure there were no more leaks. I never expect a shop to always be perfect, but how situations are handled when they aren't speaks volumes about their customer centricity. This review was a long time coming, came here on accident really. The check engine light came on in my car. I came here and was greeted by a young lady in the office, she mentioned that they typically work on European cars but could run a quick check to see what the issue was. After the diagnostic it appeared that there was some type of ethanol or gas leak emission that triggered the sensor. She asked me one question. Do you have a gas cap? I really didn't even consider that could be an issue but the truth was I didn't, and well after replacing a 10$ gas cap the light turned off. They didn't charge me for the check and they were really nice. Strongly recommend, hard to find a good mechanic, and this place deserved a good review. read more

STAY AWAY from this place. The owners (JoJo & Anita) are con artists. They had my car there for 9 weeks and not only didn't fix it, but my car was damaged (dents and scratches) while at their shop. They charged me over $3,000 and NEVER fixed the issues. I had to take my car to the dealership and found out that they didn't fix or replace half of what they charged me for. On top of that, the dealer gave me an estimate that was less than Prestige was charging me. The whole purpose of going to a place like this was to save money, but their prices are either the same or higher than the dealer. I gave the dealer my invoice from prestige and they removed 5 of the parts that were supposed to be replaced by prestige and showed me that they were NEVER replaced. I paid for work that was never actually done. These people were always trying to be "fake" nice and tell stories when I asked for an update on my car. Look, I have a Bentley Continental GT so I'm super picky in where I take it and who works on it. As you can imagine this car is not cheap to work on. I was referred to this place as a qualified mechanic that can be trusted to work on a Bentley. My AC was working on and off. I called and spoke to Anita and took the car down to be diagnosed. I was looking for a local mechanic and was not interested in taking the car to the dealer in Newport or Palm Springs, way to far and a huge hassle. Jojo diagnosed the AC and offered a conservative cost effective solution prior to changing out the more expensive compressor. Unfortunately the compressor was part of the solution but even so with labor, parts and the freon it was very affordable considering the type of car and the cost of parts. Very satisfied, will take all of my cars there from now on. Customer service is exemplary and by the way they had my car washed for me prior to pick up!! Who does that!! Awesome!! read more
