I was trying to find a french silk pie or a cake for a family gathering and stopped by. When I walked in it smelled like an ashtray and the place was dark and dingy. It seemed like Mike was the man behind the counter, but he was not very welcoming or friendly and was actually kind of rude. As a small business owner myself, I am always rooting for other business owners. I'm glad Mike is there doing his thing and people seem to like his food, but if he's going to charge those kind of prices, I expect a nicer ambiance and good service. read more

This danish was soft, flavorful and creamy. Haven't been disappointed yet. Whenever I'm in the area, I have to stop to get a pecan danish but I found a 2nd love - the almond croissant. I got two regular croissant and one with chocolate. Friendly guy and prive was good but the croissants weren't as crunchy but the flakiness was still there. Im not sure if its just been sitting out too long but I went in at about 10ish am. I usually get my croissant from whole food and it has the crunchy and flakiness even if you go in towards end of the day. read more

Cute little place. I called on a wed for 12 cupcakes ready for pickup on a Saturday for my toddler's mermaid birthday. I called and specifically requested mermaid color frosting and sprinkles. There were many squeals of delight from my toddler when she saw the beautiful cupcakes. And then more delight when she discovered that some of the sprinkles were chocolate balls covered in pretty colors. They have a delightful selection of pastries. Ok, I really wanted to like this place. Really, I did. We needed a dessert for Christmas and after searching for bakery's in the area we settled on this one. The reviews were good and so were the pictures. We went in the Friday before Christmas and ordered a bit too much but since everything looked and smelled so good we just couldn't help ourselves. We finally decided on a tray of cookies, an apple pie for Christmas and a few loose cookies not in a prepackaged tray. The cookies were good! Especially the powdered wedding cookies. And the bigger black and white cookie was good too. Now the pie, was another story. We ended up serving it for our Christmas dessert and although it looked gorgeous, it was a mess. We cut one slice and it basically fell apart. The pie was mostly made of something that tasted like it came from a can. It was pretty disappointing especially after paying 28 dollars for something that we ended up throwing away. If it tasted good we would have tore it up regardless of it falling apart but it was the taste we couldn't stomach. I would give this place another try because it is a local small business and the cannolis look like something my nonna would have made. read more

Oh my gosh. This is BY FAR the best bakery in Denton county, possibly even Texas. I have absolutely no critiques for this place because every single thing I have tried from there is amazing. The cheesecake is as good as you get in NYC which is normally impossible to find. Cannolis are the best I have ever had. I am a snob for creme brûlée and they make one of the best I have ever had. People seem to be crazy about this bakery, for a good reason! It can be a little hard to find, it's located to the left of Albertson's in Corinth.The customer service is great, I was immediately greeted when I entered the bakery. They are very friendly and are glad to share the story behind the bakery. Customers were really excited They have a nice display of Christmas cookies and you see every thing they sell like cheese cakes, cup cakes, coffee cakes and much much more. I ended up getting carrot cake cup cakes and a large pecan coffee cake. I'm not a big fan of cup cakes but I like some varieties. The carrot cake cup cake were pretty good but I didn't think they were all that special. The actual carrot cakes they sell looked amazing, I might try one of those next time. The pecan coffee cake was amazing! I can't remember having tried a better tasting pecan coffee cake. I bought a large one but it was gone by the next morning. I saw their Facebook post on a chocolate mousse cake and asked if we could order one for a party. The cake was nothing like the one they posted previously. It was still very good but I like alot of mousse and the original pic shows a lot of mousse in it. The 2nd pic is a regular chocolate cake with a layer of mousse between the cake layers. I will post a pic of the cake we got and the cake we wanted and thought we were getting. I love chocolate mousse so I was hoping for mostly mousse and a little layer of cake like the pic but the regular chocolate cake was not what wanted but if you love chocolate cake then this is a very delicious chocolate cake and will not disappoint you. My daughter loves chocolate cake . I still gave them 5 stars even though my cake was not what I wanted because the cake we got was made fresh and still tasted very good. This review is a little unorthodox. I live in California and I am ordering my best friends birthday cake. I had called several bakeries and inquired through Yelp as well for a tiramisu cake. I got in contact with Annie's bakery and they were able to get the tiramisu cake that I needed(requested by the birthday girl so it was a must). However. Mike called me after I had inquired on Yelp about his bakery, to follow up. Through a load of misunderstandings, I thought Michael was the baker at Annie's and was calling to tell me that he was unable to give me a cake I had already purchased. I had a phone appointment with the baker at Annie's that morning. (Which is where the confusion started) Michael called to inquire about my request and was just letting me know what he had available and wanted to see if I still would like to order. I was under the impression that this was Annie's bakery. (I'm an idiot, I know) anyway, we got the order "corrected", and he apologized for losing my order. He also offered me another cake for the misunderstanding of losing my order. When in fact. He didn't lose anything. I REPEAT, THEY DID NOT LOSE MY ORDER. I called the wrong bakery. This poor guy had gotten a call from a disgruntled girl from California about a mystery cake that was ordered from another bakery. I'm here to say, that even though I hadn't placed an order through this bakery, they were still extremely apologetic and still willing to accommodate me over a mystery order that was never placed. If that's not awesome customer service, I honestly don't know what is. Thank you to the staff that helped me. I really do apologize for the misunderstanding. So after having my arm twisted really really hard ;) I stopped in here for a little after lunch treat. Google Maps took me right to the place and I had no problems finding it. (unfortunately this is always the case with me and bakeries). Parking was easy and as I approached, I could already smell the delicious cheese cakes baking. I walked into a quaint little bakery with a display case right out of a picture. A beautiful smile awaited my arrival and was eager to serve. I had strict orders to try the cheese cake. There were several flavors to choose from but I kept to my word and ordered the plain. There were so many other delicious looking items for sale. Cookies, cakes, pies, pastries. I also got a custard danish and somehow kept myself from ordering one of everything! I was also greeted by a man, presumably the owner. I took notice of the menu on the wall and all this this amazing place had to offer. I hadn't even tried the food yet and was already planning my return visit! I couldn't wait to start devouring the cheesecake and the parking lot seemed like the most logical place to do this. Good thing the young lady provided me with a fork, otherwise things may have gotten a little messy. I can honestly say that this was the best cheesecake I have had in a long time. It was so creamy and sweet. The perfect consistency and texture. The serving size was perfect. Nothing else was needed to accentuate the flavor of the cake. Later, after going to the gym to work off the extra calories I had consumed to day. I had the custard danish. This had a unique brown sugar addition that made it even more flavorful and set it apart from others that I have had. It also had a light drizzle of icing that balanced out the flavor and gave a little more pizzaz to the danish. The two things I look for most is great customer service and yummy danishes. This bakery has both, so to me, it's a win! I'm very thankful to the yelp community for turning me on to Mike's bakery. read more

Wow!! We have been given a glimpse of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb where the most heavenly food awaits us!! We went for our second German Chocolate Cake in three days (it's that good!) but came out with two quiche also. A spinach and a bacon I think my husband said. They are straight from heaven!! The flakiest of filo dough bowls hold the best quiche I've ever tasted, and thats saying a lot! Quiche is one my absolute favorites so I try them everywhere I go. Mike uses the highest quality ingredients and the flavors are so divine - they simply melt like butter in your mouth. You have got to try one to believe it!! Edit: the owner's son called and made it right. I appreciate that and have adjusted my review. I called 6 days before my step dad's birthday to order the one thing he asked for on his bday: an Italian rum cake. I was told the price for the size I wanted would be $40 at the low end and $45 at the high end. I called again the day before his birthday to confirm and was told the price was $55. When I questioned this it was explained that the girl that took my order was new and didn't know the pricing and I could cancel if I wanted. But it's a specialty cake and it's about 20 hours till go-time. So I'm kinda screwed. If you're quoted a range you should expect to pay in that range. And if the business needs to make a change to their quote they should reach out to you...not leaving it as a surprise for the customer. Really disappointed with the customer service here. read more
