I found Mike's Electric on Yelp yesterday, after my tenant called me on Saturday evening to tell me the circuit for the kitchen stopped working, and flipping the sub breaker switch didn't resolve the issue. I contacted a couple of electricians, and I got a reasonable estimate from Mike for what I thought would be sub breaker switch replacement. I wanted to restore power to the kitchen ASAP, so my tenants could use it; Mike was super accommodating and was able to come by within a few hours on Sunday afternoon, whereas other electricians I contacted were not available until Monday or later in the week. It turned out to be a wiring issue behind the outlet and not the switch, but he got everything working in no time. I didn't get to meet Mike in person, as we had corresponded over Yelp and text message, but the entire process was a breeze. I was even able to send payment electronically, which was incredibly convenient considering I was across the country for the holidays. My tenant texted me immediately after Mike was done to let me know she was pleased and that Mike was very friendly. I'd be happy to work with Mike again the next time I'm in need of an electrician at my unit. He has great communication, a friendly and helpful attitude, and is easy to work with. read more

Really strange and unprofessional behavior. The electrician responded to our request and was very nice. He even called my husband the morning of our appointment just to verbally confirm the time he was going to come by and then he never showed up. We called a few times and left a voicemail. To this day he's never called or messaged via Yelp. So odd. Good luck to all future customers; hopefully you don't have the same experience. Great to experience with Mike's work and professionalism. I called him about our builder-installed under-the-counter incandescent lighting having significant safety issues (wispy smoke and plastic burning smell and the lights had stopped working - I kept them shut off after I saw the smoke). It wound up being the light switch itself - it had burned and melted inside the switch...no bueno. I had Mike install a new switch and as I had been wanting to switch the whole system to LED lights I asked him to do that as well and also install a whole-home surge protector. Mike arrived on-time. Mike was professional, friendly, and he went above and beyond. He installed some canned lighting and helped install an outlet for our new dishwasher. The outlet ended up being trickier than we expected since the old washer was blocked in by the flooring but Mike was committed to getting it done. With some creative thinking, it was taken care of.
