Update - 5 years later I received a message from Mike the owner regarding his failure to return my $1k deposit after he failed to return to install the garage door. He recently had a moment of integrity and acknowledged taking the deposit and agreed to finally refund my money. But he quickly transitioned back to lies a few weeks later and still has not return the deposit. Refer to the updated screen shots of the discussion. Do not use this unethical business. The owner is significantly lacking in character. I will update this review monthly until I receive my deposit back. I found Mike on Yelp (this same page) and he's still using the same phone number that listed on Yelp. I still have an entire text string with his same business number from 2021. Refer to the attached photo of a portion of the text string with his business phone number clearly listed. The single, larger-than-average torsion spring (compared to the usual double-spring arrangement) on my Martin garage door system suddenly snapped while the door was closed at around 9:30pm. My truck was now hostage inside the garage because the full weight of the door prevented opening it manually. He needed to know certain information about spring size, etc. After I muddled through trying to get that info by getting up on a ladder to take measurements, he gave me a general quote for the spring replacement. Because the door and its hardware was going on 20 years old, I decided to inquire about getting the whole thing replaced (excluding a relatively new door opener which was working fine). I had wanted a brown insulated door just like the one I had but unfortunately, the supplier could not provide one for another two weeks. Mike was able to reserve a brown non-insulated one.
