I needed it fixed quickly so the contractor can continue his work without me staying here 24/7. I also wanted a quality opener with a decent price and good workmanship by the installer. I called EZ Garage Door and they met all these requirements with flying colors. I contacted EZ and its owner, Robert, responded immediately. He was on vacation but scheduled me the next day after his vacation ended. He offered me a free inspection to find the problem I was having, but I already was planning to have a new opener installed. As a courtesy, he sent me a list of openers I could have installed, with the total OTD price for whichever one I chose. He had at least 7-8 to choose from. He installs only quality brands and is very knowledgeable of what each can do, which depends on what you want the new opener to do. He arrived at the scheduled time and was ready to install immediately, since I had already chosen the opener I wanted. Robert is extremely knowledgeable and very prepared to do the job. He had to work around a "remodel in process", but had no issues or problems with the situation. He said it would take about 90 minutes to complete the job: 60 to complete the installation and 30 to explain any and all nuances of my new opener. The installation was very clean and professional. I not only want quality but appearance as well. It must be good AND look good. Robert was excellent! It looks clean. He spent the last few minutes explaining all the new functions of my new opener and how to use them. If you haven't purchased an opener in years, BE READY FOR AN EXPERIENCE! They have modernized the opener to meet today's automation. My business with EZ Garage Doors was a great experience. Robert is young, knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. He's clean, organized and leaves no trace of even being here. He truly deserves a 5 star rating, and if you're looking to replace or upgrade your opener, this is the place to go. There are a couple more I would consider doing business with because I've dealt with them before, but Robert is the cream of the crop. One guy, working with quality parts and offering professional installation, is rare in this day and age. If you need work done, start your search here and work down. He also re-aligned one of the door rails, which had clearly been crooked, and restored the garage door to proper working order. He adjusted and leveled everything, then took the time to explain the expected lifespan of the new spring compared to the previous one. While the original spring was slightly higher quality, we needed the door repaired as quickly as possible, and Mike provided exactly the prompt service and quality components we needed. We'll absolutely be returning for future work when it's time to replace the spring on our other garage door. Mike was professional, worked efficiently, and demonstrated the expertise of a true craftsman. He recently had a moment of integrity and acknowledged taking the deposit and agreed to finally refund my money. But he quickly transitioned back to lies a few weeks later and still has not return the deposit. Refer to the updated screen shots of the discussion. Do not use this unethical business. The owner is significantly lacking in character. I will update this review monthly until I receive my deposit back. I found Mike on Yelp (this same page) and he's still using the same phone number that listed on Yelp. I still have an entire text string with his same business number from 2021. Refer to the attached photo of a portion of the text string with his business phone number clearly listed. Fast forward to 2026, he sends a Yelp message agreeing to "make things right" after my most recent review. Photo attached. Now he's publicly lying about not having anything on record. The record/receipt that he provided after we paid the deposit is also attached to this review and has been for years.

I paid him good money to fix a garage man door, and it still hasn't worked right. First, he did a shortcut and replaced part of a door frame, saying that's all it needed and it didn't work, but he still charged me anyway and said it was good, which it is obviously not. I explained it to him how it did not work, and he brushed it off. I have to throw my shoulder & hip into the door every time to get it to latch, after I paid him to fix it and he said it was good. I also had him put a security gate on the man door to my garage, and it was not done right despite my extensive preparation with extra materials that I paid for, all brand, new materials, primed and painted and prepped for him, at the job site, and he brushed it off, saying it was unnecessary. He was wrong The security gate swings into its own frame, always has to be yanked out. It's ridiculous. I showed him and he brushed it off. Hey Jack, this is your many times client that referred work for you from other friends of mine, and we all paid. if you feel like coming back and fixing your bad work, let me know, and I can modify this review.
