Very expensive and rude. Charged us $400+ to fix a screen door and seal a sink.

Did a great job at a fair price installing three new faucets. You get what you pay for. Price was exactly what he quoted over the phone.

Okay, so I was a little fed up with the heating industry until I spoke with Kevin at Fred's Heating…read moreand Cooling. Up until I had spoken with Kevin I was being told that it was going to cost $80 for a technician to "step foot in my house." That's right, they're still using this antiquated phrase and I had no idea why I had to pay someone to just take a look at what the problem was. So $80 to look and I was hearing that it would probably cost another $80 to run a diagnostic test and perhaps another $80 if I wanted a furnace "tune up." Hold on, hold on!! The problem was that my 2nd floor wasn't heating to the same temp as the 1st floor and I needed to know why. If it happened to be the furnace then I understand I would have to pay for that. If it happened to be that all my duct work wasn't installed correctly, I would have to pay for that too. But I didn't understand why I had to pay someone to tell me what I had to pay for. So I called Kevin, we set up a time, and when he came out he was professional and spent an hour telling me what I could do to ensure furnace efficiency and to help stop any leaks throughout the ducts--FOR FREE!!! He is now my heating guy forever and I believe that all people should find people and companies who aren't going to ask them for money "just to walk in the home." Hey, Heating Industry! The economy is rough. It's time to stop doing business this way. Kevin is out there and he's going to grab all of your customers. I sure hope he does. He saved me money and when it comes time to actually need to do something Kevin and Fred's Heating will be the ones I call.

Turned out to be an easy fix this time but JEFF figured it out quickly and did some trouble shooting for the future. Recommended installation of a new AC capacitor and explained benefits and cost. Did not feel pressured or forced to decide on the spot. Also discussed long term plan to replace whole system and what that would look like. JEFF provided estimates and costs were very reasonable compared to other local providers. Customer service rep, DORENE, made scheduling easy and got me in before my pets and I melted from the heat - lol! She was very pleasant and helpful throughout the process. I HIGHLY recommend KOBELLA for HVAC, plumbing and all services they provide!! Great experience!! I won't use anyone else! KOBELLA rocks!

***P.K. Wadsworth heating/ cooling co.***…read more My home's A/C stopped blowing cold air last night. "A P.K. Wadsworth" technician showed up at my door around 4:00 p.m. and pinpointed the problem without any hesitation in just a minute, without running any tests. I give him an A+ for quickly identifying the issue. The problem was a failed A/C capacitor. He looked at his tablet to determine the replacement cost and told me it would be $100 for the service call and $400 to replace the capacitor total 500. plus tax. I was shocked that the company wanted to charge $400 to replace a part that costs around $20 and is connected with only a couple of wires. I declined the repair, paid the $100 service fee plus $8 in tax , and then headed to Home Depot. I bought the exact same capacitor for $22.95 which was the most expensive one, (price range: $13.99-$22.95). I got back home and installed it myself in just a couple of minutes. The unit was back up and running, blowing cold air like new. Lesson learned: Some companies will overcharge you right in front of your eyes. Before accepting any estimate or proposal, take your time and do a little research. I understand that DIY repairs are not for everyone, but having access to the internet, YouTube, AI, and other resources can help you gather enough information to make an informed decision. With all due respect to the many honest workers in our community, these days many contractors, mechanic shops, dealerships, some organizations, and others will try to charge you as much as they possibly can. Be careful, and think twice if something doesn't make sense. I will post this review anywhere I can to let people know about my experience with this company.

Have had them service my home but more recently i called to help my widowed neighbor. She had another larger local company -had no heat in the home (she is 80 years old). They told her repairs would take a week estimate over a $1,000.00 plus the initial cost of $180.00 and it was bitterly cold. Thats when I called Kris at FM. Gregg came out same afternoon (end of day Friday) fully assessed the issue, fixed it and didn't leave till she was warm and safe. He even took the time to explain all work being done and encouraged her to watch him work. Needless to say she didn't need the service/part the other technician proposed. I can't say enough about their integrity and honesty. Not easy to find these days. If I could I would leave them more than the allowed 5 stars!
