If memory serves me correctly this used to be an old berbiglia spot. Just thinking about those stores takes me back to my early 20s and thinking about how much KC has changed in a decade. At any rate, I pulled over, dodged some rain, and came inside. Now, anyone who remembers Berbiglias in KC might remember them as I do - kind of basic, a bit dirty, and the kind of place that you just kind of tolerated. I mean, I was in my twenties so I didn't know liquor stores could be nice and have variety, but now I do, and boy was I glad when I walked in the doors and found out that this newly redone Plaza Liquor is NICE. Not only is the interior nice, the folks working are super friendly, and they have an incredible selection. I found some craft beers from STL that my husband hadn't been able to find in a long time at liquor stores closer to our house, and they of course carried a good variety of wine and liquor as well. Overall this one is a great little neighborhood liquor store, and is definitely one I'll return to if I'm once again needing to pick up a bottle of wine on the way home.

There was no one to wait on me and I wondered about the store aimlessly looking for one product. The clerk told me she had customers and could not help me. So I never went back... until now. I was looking for a special bottle of wine for a Christmas gift. I was waited on, showed several different options and treated very respectfully. Zach was the person helping me and he could not have been nicer. He showed me different wines with different price points and made sure I was satisfied with my purchase. I was overwhelmed with his helpfulness. The cashier was also very nice and courteous. It was a pleasant experience and I was glad I came back. They have tons of parking, the building is easy to access and the store is clean and well lit. There are many different prices on things so you have a range of products from which to choose.
