Quality is bad. Staff has little to no knowledge of products. Selection is not as good as other liquor stores in the area.

Extremely disappointed. Not Covid responsible. I was going to meet someone for lunch at a restaurant nearby and thought that I would check out this liquor store, as it looked like it had a lot of square footage. There were at least four staff inside, none of which had masks or even one hanging around their neck, so clearly not intending to wear any. I saw at least one customer walked in the store without a mask either. I was under the impression that all Johnson County businesses were expected to adhere with the ordinance. read more

Unfortunately, this business does not take COVID seriously. The cashier was NOT wearing a mask and began coughing as I was leaving the store. Good thing I was wearing a mask and had sanitizer in the car. I will NOT be going there again, even after this virus has run its course. read more

The guys up front are great but why does the place need to smell like some cheap vanilla perfume factory. Hours after I'm gone from the store I still smell it. Asked them to turn it down or off several times. People with allergies and respiratory problem BEWARE of this place! Owner is a real piece of work. I have had the same ring it up not the same as shelf and I fought to get the price that it stated. Often the reviews of wines are not even of the same year that they have stocked. I'm a wine lover and Moonlight Liquor has a great selection of wines of all varieties and prices. Actually they have a great variety of everything, but what makes them stand out is their willingness to order something that they don't currently carry. My friend and I have been able to order wines that we discovered at a local wine bar and then asked Moonlight if they would carry the wine for us! read more

Beware - Recently I noticed that I was being charged more than the sticker price listed for my Johnny Walker Black. The price was $37 and it rang up $40. Anyways, I noticed the receipt when I got home last time said $40. I just figured I would get it taken care of next time I went in. When I went in the next time I double checked the price on the shelf was still $37. I got another bottle and went to the register to let the manager know and buy another bottle for the price on the shelf. The Owner said it was ringing up at $40 and the shelf was wrong. He said he would not honor the shelf price even though it was their mistake. He then said "What do you think this is...Wal-Mart??" The Owner said that!!!!! I just left and will never go back. God know how long I had been over charged. I would avoid this place but if you must take your business here...beware....AND ***make sure you get charged the price listed on the shelf and double check your receipt*** read more

This is a really good liquor store. It's clean and organized and the staff is friendly. When we first moved here, we were looking to try the local beers (support local business) and the staff made some great recommendations. As a result, we've probably spent way more than we should on some really outstanding Kansas beers, lol. The selection is great and the staff a very knowledgeable and very helpful. read more

There seems to be a large selection of everything and the parking is easy. I really like the people here. They're friendly and helpful. You don't have to beg for assistance because they offer it and they've been knowledgeable when it came to my odd questions about wine, martinis, etc. read more

The employees here are so rude. I have had bad customer service on more than one occasion but today was the last straw. I called just to see if they had any chocolate ale available and before I could finish my sentence the guy on the phone rudely said they were out and would get more in at 5 and hung up on me. I have been to many of the other liquor stores here in town where the employees are nice and helpful. I would much rather spend my money with them where I'm not treated like crap! read more
